So when I watched the Rob & Amber clip (which is from them in the Miami bookstore by the way), Rob appraoches a guy and ask him to by a guidebook for them. THey say they are not allowed to beg for money and not allowed to take money from them, but they can get someone to buy things for them.

Does anyone know if this is a airport thing (I know in previous season they could beg in airports. But has there been a restriction on that lately.

Becuase I love the idea of limiting them from asking fo rmoney.

Why shouldn't they be the same as everyone else? I thought Mirna was a TOTAL PAIN IN THE ASS in AR5 and my opinion remains unchanged.

But the first one, shows Kevin and Drew trying to leave teh Pit Stop, in their same vehicle. :yess:

They try for a little while ot get that vehicle moving.

In the background of the shot, you can see an extra vehicle (have no idea if this is where they would have kept extra or if its John Vito & jill's (how would they get back to the Quito to get to the sequestered location ? Are they driven back? Or would they rive the same vehicle back?

We get a lot of David & mary and Mirna & charla and a lot of Kevin & drew this time.

We get to see Rob be an ass in private about all the other teams not thinking.

We get to see Eric be nice to Uchenna & Joyce and to Teri & Ian (though he admits he doesn't like Ian's loud personality).

The Innertube clip of Mirna's near-tears meltdown (while they are driving - at one point the camera cuts to Charla and she looks terrified) is hilarious. Here's a transcript:

We gave him the purse, whatever the purse is worth. Whatever's inside the purse, he can have that too. I don't have anything more to give. I don't have anything more to give. If I had more - all I have is my ring and I wouldn't give this ring for my life. I don't have anything more to give him. The girls stopped but they just wanted to use us. They waited by the side of the road. They're not willing to split the taxi fee and they drove halfway behind us the whole way for free, and they want me to pay for them to go the rest of the way. They said, 'OK, let your taxi driver give us directions.' I said, 'I am paying the taxi driver $200, you're getting directions for free!?' I don't like the way some of these people are. Puddin, thanks for telling how to find those links. In fact I used a similar (but more stupid) method to download the clips. I download your links and open it, then using the same approach to get the links. However, when I use FlashGet to download the clips, sometimes I got those extra ones which were not shown on the web!! That has been happening last season, and I find out that there are 3 extra clips for episode 1 this season too. :happy:

Sorry folks, we're taking the forums offline to try to get a handle on some bizarre errors and behaviour that has cropped up over the weekend. We hope to be back up sometime Monday.

We are also looking into the weirdo pages appearing on the recaps -- like recaps without next page options, JS errors, etc.

It's probably all part of the same problem and hopefully we'll have it fixed soon.

Also interesting to know that the BQ's think from what they have said that the other teams believed they were yielded in season 10, not the ones to yield.

Then we have Dustin & Kandice with a slightly different story, but one that does coberate defintely part of the story.

When they are doing their after check in confessional (and it stil looks like they have just recently checked most likely before the others arrived) they talk about how multiple teams think they were yielded in season 10.

So that does at least confirm part of Danielle's and Mirna's comments.

Now D & K say they never confirmed or denied, and just didn't talk about it. That seems very unlikely.

Ie it is hard for a person to jump to any conclusion if they didn't talk about it at all.

Now its possible that they said something like this, damn I hated the Yield in our season, it made us feel so bad when it happened and we got in last and were hit with the 30 minute penalty.

That doesn't say they were Yieled but puts a real negative spin on the emotional connection to that event. And I could see conversation (especially from Danielle's point of view being the only team member this season to be yielded), and they including themselves into that catagory without technically saying they were yielded.

But they absolutely had to say something.

And they are aware that teams plural feel that they were yielded, this implication seems to have at the very least not been corrected (they aso talk about that and laugh, and day no they aren't going to tell them the truth), so it seems maybe they might have encouraged that belief.

So yeah, even at best this would fall under the "Lie of ommission" catagory. BUt I wouldn't be surprised if the BQ's helped people believe that it did happen that way, without directly saying yes we were yielded.

We already have seen Oswald & Danny in that same area (and it isn'tthe same as the clip in the confessional) and we have Charla & Mirna from a previous leg.

I think this is just to mess with our heads so that based off of an early promo we know who the final three our (whoops sorry that isn't going to work).

Michael D, Dustin/Kandice cannot say that as race participants since they were eliminated in Bareclona and did not get to complete the global circumnavigation in AR10. They will only make it 1.8 times around. You have to ignore their undoubted role in finishing the circuit after elimination, as Danny/Oswald have also made it that way. Uchenna/Joyce do not qualify for that after-elimination role because AR7 did not go all the way around; it came back after reaching India. Joe/Bill do not qualify for the after-elimination circuit because they never returned to the finish line as a result of being stuck in Alaska at the conclusion of AR1. Teri and Ian only qualify for 1.4 global circumnavigation based on their elimination in Zanzibar.

Agreed Mike. That commentary about other teams after their demise was uncalled for, especially about the BQ's prior race after "watching it on teevee." It smacks of sour grapes. They should have stopped at praising and rooting for C/M. You know the drill, "If you have nothing nice to say about your competition STFU."

And while parts of it I can understand, THE BQ's do project one type of attitude and can be deceptive about things (and they certainly aren't alone in that). And Eric & Danielle and aren't always the most mature racers (but who are). And many teams deceive and put the best image out possible.

But I will say that Eric & Danielle (and I think Dustin & Kandice but I am less sure on the clips for them) who have lost tempers with other racers and to a lesser degree each other, have behaved very respectfully of locals ad the places they have visited.

Something that Oswald & Danny and Charla & Mirna can't say. I wonder if seeing how they react to cabs and locals well impact on how they see this team. Because I was raised that if you are going to get upset or be a little more vulgar itshould be around people you know better then strangers.

I think CBS thought portraying them as the bickering, intense couple would be more interesting...I think CBS missed the mark here. So glad they are in the final 3 can't wait for Sunday night!

Season 1_we have Frank & Margarita
2. Wil & Tara
3. Teri & Ian
4. Reichen & Chip or Kelly & Jon
5. Colin & Christie
6. Adam & Rebecca and Hayden & Aaron
7. Ron & Kelly
9. Mojo
10. Rob & Kimberly

With Teri & Ian saying htey behaved the same this year as in season 3 (and if htey are being honest) it shows how the edit can make teams look good or bad.

But since the producers no who makes it the farthest they have to shape those edits. Obviously htey couldn't for example show Rob & Amber as team "evil" since they weren't going to be around that long. Instead we got team cocky.

So that really leaves them with showing the worst aspects of Eric & Danielle for the negative couple. Teri & Ian aren't in it long enugh to get the full negative edit.

So you do see them behaving much nicer to each other on ciips for the most part.

So you get more of the bad and less of the good on TV.

Sorry this is basically a duplicate message. Could someone watch the chats and try to capture any with a watch? In particular around 2:50 of the C/M chat the face of Mirna's watch is visible. Mirna is repeatedly moving her hair behind her ears with her watch hand. I'm having major computer problems and can't watch any videos.
