It looks like Overtime for those in the Jets/Chiefs viewing area (this includes the New York and Kansas City areas for sure). If this game does not go to overtime it will be over around 715pm, but CBS might then go to another game.

Phil: Five teams left Dubrovnik, traveled to Tuscany. TK/Rachel arrived after Nate/Jenn at the Roadblock, but fell behind when TK couldn't find the clue from the plane. Nic/Don went for the Fast Forward and "a permanent tattoo." They were team #1. Kynt/Vyxsin got lost in the confusing roads, and argued, and came in last. Good news, it was a non-elimination leg. New twist in the Race: They'll encounter a Speed Bump.

Five teams remain. Who will be eliminated next?

All except for Nic/Don, who got some sleep at a hotel. They'll trust their reservations.

Jenn conf: The Pinks are about their mischief again, at the ticket counters.
Woman to Kynt: Leave 10:00 am today, arrive 1 am tonight.
Vyx: Let's try Air France.

Ron is bitching that Don/Nic got reserved seats and slept in a hotel. (Is there anything he doesn't complain about??)
At least 1 other team gets tickets to arrive 10:35 pm, in Mumbai, which is probably what
Ron/Christina, 10:30 arrival.

As the first plane leaves, the Goths and TK/Rachel finally get tickets.

Jenn: CLOSE THE DOOR UPSTAIRS, PLEASE!? HE LEFT THE DOORS OPEN ON PURPOSE!!
She runs up the stairs. She finds the location.
Woman: Forget something?
Jenn: I need a receipt! Oh!! I forgot the OTHER one!

Phil: Ron/Chris, you're team #3.

Jenn goes back for her 1st (missing) receipt, as Kynt makes his 2nd delivery.

No, Michael, you're not even close. They overcame the deficit of the speed bump. Their downfall was Kynt's stupidity in not U-turning the team that they knew was approximately even with them.

That was incredibly stupid of them. And I like them. But really come on.

First I hear about a yield in Asia 2 for a team that had already gone by (which I have always wondered about so thats cool) and now this.

However, the designers of the race, Mr. van Munster and Ms. Doganieri are reasonably smart people when it coming to making most things logical. To apply a penalty that will get wiped out at the beginning of the next leg by a bunching at the airport would be non-consequential. Doing that is reserved for Mr. Michael McKay who did exactly that in ARA1.

Some penalties (or things like U-Turns, Yields or Intersection) kill teams. Some it just pushed them to to a great leg to make up for it.

Now obviously I haven't watched the episode, but it looks like they could have stayed alive in the race. Not only with the better use of the U-Turn, but also better racing for the 2nd half of the leg.

But the whole idea of the newer restrictions of non eliminations, is to make teams really, really earn the right to still be in the race. And not to just let it be a blind pass.

And even if it takes down a team I like (which I certainly did for this team), I prefer it to the type of situation that they had before.

Actually I was glad on that one, that they did get bet all on their own and didn't have to worry about the 30 minutes. THey were popular enough I didn't even want to think about all the complaints that would have happened.

But I am sure that stress really did help make them make mistakes (that and navigation, which boy did people suck at that in season 10). Take ALL Stars, I was really surprised how well E & D did after being yielded the 2nd time (not to mention already being so far behind to not get bunched up. Yet for whatever reasons (making cussing at Danny & Oswald and posting their pictures on his ass and crotch), they just rocked that episode (time wise).

I really can't wait to see how Kynt & Vyxsin fared stress wise. And I wonder how much that did effect them, beyond normal race stress.
