Actually we don't know which team 'Gabby' is in and even if Gabby is a real racer because some people here said it's 'Go Robbie' not 'Go Gabby'. Also, this guy who know Gabby/Robbie stood right in front that camera-man (he raise his hand). So Gabby could not be Orange team, Pink team, F/F blue team because no one made real contact to him.

CBS has taken the atypical approach of announcing the cast and start of the race on the day it began. The show moves to Friday nights at 8 this fall.
Among the cast members are two CBS reality stars: Survivor South Pacific contestants Whitney Duncan and Keith Tollefson, who had an affair on the show that ended her marriage. Whitney divorced her then-husband, and she and Keith are now engaged.

I was at JFK but teams were already past the security gate by the time I got there. Missed Times Square too- I got there for 3 am not knowing the race went off an hour earlier (EST vs DST) :groan: The terminal was packed- I was suprised at how many flights take off at 6 am- so I agree funny we only have the one picture of the red team. Anything from St Thomas?

About Isabelle Du, she is Vietnamese-American. She is a model/actress. She acted in one Vietnamese drama series call 'Nữ vệ sĩ' (Female bodyguard). I did not watch any Vietnamese drama for a long time so I did not realize her. :groan:

I did search about red team because it seems to be that everyone is not interested in firefighters M/M team.

OK, so I'm not sure where really to post this, but as it's about a team I'll put in the Contestant Thread. :lol:
Now that I'm over my initial concerns and worries about this cast, I actually think it has the potential to be one the best we've seen in a quite a while, even though I said different not 3 Hours ago in the BMS Thread. :funny:
Anyway, I can't wait to watch Robbie & Brooke. I don't watch TNA anymore but have been an avid WWE watcher for years, and I remember Brooke when she was there back 7 or 8 years ago.
I just can't believe we're finally getting a proper (more famous, recognisable) team of Pro-Wrestlers. :yess:
I'm sure SamuelDude is with me......... If he / she reads this.... :lol:
So yeah, that's my pointless post for my reasoning for rooting for them. Here's hoping they aren't eliminated early! :hoot:

That is literally one of the worst things I have ever read on this site. Are you seriously making fun of someone who lost a limb in an accident, and has the courage to not only overcome that disability, but appear on a national television show? She's worked so hard to overcome her disability, and people like you who make light of it are doing nothing but hurting both her, and your reputation. I suggest you edit that out of your post immediately.

It'll be good exposure for TNA even the company isn't that great. Brooke hasn't been on TV for a while and Robbie E just lost the Tag Titles a few weeks ago.

Shelley & Nici are from Detroit and I'd suspect Shelley's a single mother who works odd hours. They most likely are in the race for the money as Detroit is a financially unstable major city.

Keep in mind folks that in CBS's media relations eyes, being from Detroit could include the nearby suburbs of Detroit.
While the city itself is in bankruptcy reorganization, that does not mean everyone living in the area is in bankruptcy, many private corporations are doing just fine there (i.e., auto manudacturers) and others, and there's a resettlement boomlet under way as new businesses incubate in previously abandoned and cleared neighborhoods, artists and creative types have been floaking to resettle some of those neighborhoods.
Detroit's debt is mostly related to the huge unpaid pension liability it has to retired city employees such as police, fire, EMTs, and so forth. The economic recessions of the past 20 to 30 years already drove away many of those who couldn't find work, and there's been a plan underway in that city for years to tear down abandoned homes and building whose owners or landlords have allowed to fall into disrepair. Many of those lots are now blocks and blocks of grass.
So if the team from Detroit are dentists, that does not mean they're not doing well financially, there is a shortage of medical professionals in the US, including dentists, so I wouldn't mix their possible personal situations with the situation of the public sector in that area.

Appear to be unique teams, We haven't had a pro-wrestling team that is on a international level. Hoping that Bethany and Adam are sort of like Amy & Daniel but don't go out as early.

I think Amy is 24/25….it appears she is early in her PhD…Maya has been working on hers for a while but they work in the same lab.

I gotta say it is a not-so-diverse cast, but I really feel excited about them. Seems like quite a lot of teams will be fun to watch.
It's diverse IMO. We have food scientists, married surfers (and a racer without an arm), firefighters, pro wrestlers, an Asian couple, college sweethearts (ew, but i hope to see them go far), dentists, and cycling gals this season. :)

I believe I found something about Te Jay, the purple shirt of the college sweethearts.
According to Stage Agent, Te Jay McGrath is from Hawaiian descent (we have another! :hoot:) and is a musical theatre performer. He dreams of performing in bigger show productions. Well now, he does! Time to perform as well as he can in the race! :funny:

I'm just not used to those types of people, but like you said, it's normal, and I really hope they make it far. :)
Edit: Now I just realized, I'm not annoyed with them, but rather I'm slightly annoyed with their relationship status, but seriously, they make a cute couple. :funny:

Just curious what you mean by this? Do you mean your not usually used to / in the company of gays?
Personally, I know a couple of gays / lesbians, but only know them, and am not normally in the company of gays either, but I don't know why their relationship status would annoy you?
It's very normal for 2 people of the same sex to be in a relationship and in no way should annoy people. :)
EDIT: Also, did you feel similar towards all the other gay / lesbians that were on the race? I'm genuinely interested. :)

I have to say, for one, that I am impressed and applaud TAR for introducing Bethany to TAR25's cast because she was an inspiration when I was a kid. I remember hearing her story and everyone being afraid of swimming in the ocean and everyone checking the chances of shark attack before hitting the shores, but she assured everyone that everything was alright and so I really hope that her "disability" doesn't outshine her positive attitude and that she does well.

100% rooting for Bethany & Adam this season! Takes an extreme amount of perseverance to overcome a traumatic experience from a childhood hobby and continue doing the activity. :luvya:
Truly in my book of one of my favorite female racers.

I think it is so amazing that Bethany Hamilton is going to be on this season, so inspiring. I also love the bikers (maybe I'm biased because I'm from New York haha). I recall one poster stating that Shelly and Nici must be poor and working odd hours for low pay because they were from Detroit. How dumb that poster must feel now since both are flight attendants and Nici graduated from Military school.

Christie & Jodi did pretty well on TAR14 in my honest opinion. They outran Preston & Jennifer, got 1st place in Siberia, and was one of the only teams' log walls that didn't collapse in the Leg 4 Detour.
