Ida Davidsen does have Hjemmelavede kransekager--homemade wreath cakes--on their menu, but it's a little early to jump to conclusions because a lot of places probably feature the cakes. Also fwiw on 11-17 they're heading west on Gammel Kongevej.

I really like Shelly & Nici and sad to hear something bad has happened I'm just confused with what since at first I just thought elimination but then knew they wouldn't show elimination in the preview so it does lead to some excitement for episode 4

I've included a map: the red arrow, as I mentioned before, is 11-18. The yellow arrow is a team making a left turn and heading northeast. 3-5 and 23-25 are further along the yellow arrow street (streetview (https://www.google.com/maps/@55.6809612,12.5489665,3a,75y,30.6h,72.17t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sPE6xxJf46N36AkzXMDiFZQ!2e0?hl=en)). There's a bakery across the street but it's too soon to make assumptions (for reference, Ida Davidsen is the blue oval). What's interesting about 3-5 is that there's another Long John (http://www.longjohn.org/index.html) parked with a TAR sticker on the seat.

I don't think they really quit. It's all for drama. :funny:

Phil will probably use this as one of the pre season highlights that this season is so hard blah blah blah that a team quit even arriving on a NEL blah blah blah.

What I meant was that Copenhagen is supposed to be a non-elimination but since if Shelly & Nici quit on a non elimination it means that on the next leg no one will be eliminated to make up for what happened last leg abit like when Dave and Connor quit in Vietnam and when Chuck & Wynona arrived last they were not eliminated because Dave & Connor had quit

I mean the only reason I'm bringing up quitting is because this is speculated (or confirmed?) to be Shelley & Nici's last leg. & by the way Nici is reacting to Shelley, that's what brings me to that conclusion.

I mean if they were simply getting eliminated, why would Nici be screaming at her mother "What are you doing?"

I suspect, and behaviors of past teams would seem consistent with, the existence of a rule that prevents teams from quitting the Race during an NEL. This seems particularly to be the case from Dave and Connor's first Race, when they had to travel to the first clue of the next leg in order to go to the Pitstop and withdraw due to Dave's ACL injury that required surgery. We've never seen a team quit for any reason during an NEL, and that is also circumstantial support for the idea of a Racebook rule that prevents a team from quitting during an NEL.

We've never seen a team quit for any reason during an NEL, and that is also circumstantial support for the idea of a Racebook rule that prevents a team from quitting during an NEL.

I think that clause was already invented way back in season 3. They say production got really scared that Flo & Zach (particularly Flo) would quit on the penultimate leg, during the Final 3.

I agree. It would have been nice for them to do a task in Sweden, too. The first two clues in the Leg (not counting the Pit Start) were basically:
"Welcome to Denmark. Now go to Sweden."
and
"Welcome to Sweden. Now do a Detour in Denmark."

I mean they could have at least done something in Malmo.
But the Leg was still the best yet.

It fits with the idea of the race being unpredictable - you never know what the next clue will say until you open it. Hilariously enough, an unaired component to Jim & Misti being in last place is that they bought a guidebook for Sweden that left them without enough money to pay for the toll to get back into Denmark - these are the risks you have to take on the race.
