Some of us on the East Coast will be affected by the late game on CBS .. only 2 late games so the delay might not be that bad.
I have the late game but really could use a delay personally so I probably will skip reading this thread, if someone spoils the end for the regular viewers please private message me and I will deal with them.
I would those that do not have the football delay to go ahead and start at 8:00pm ET please :waves:
NFL Map

Although this is the spoiler board and we love spoilers we do ask those that view this episode before those of us on East Coast time refrain and do NOT jump ahead of us. If you can't refrain from jumping ahead go post in some other forum, try sucks, they'll love ya there .
I'm talking about the Philippine satellite viewers/studio 23 satellite viewers or whoever else. If anyone breaks the rule and jumps in and posts the results before it is done airing on the East Coast they will be banned. Think before you post please , thanks!
As always the updates may contain future spoilers so enter at your own risk

What puddin said! :D
-
Well Andy still isn't dead....
And I am very seriously disappointed that an Angel of mercy didn't strike while he was in the hospital.
-
PREVIOUSLY ON .. THE AMAZING RACE:
Phil: Eight teams raced from Cambodia to Dubai. Meghan/Cheyne burned rubber and sped into 1st place. Under the scorching sun RB, a frigid DETOUR had Globetrotters offering teams help. In the end, Lance/Keri came up short and were Philiminated.
Tonight, Mika turns down a million dollars to go down a water slide. Or not. We'll see.
Credits roll.
And apparently the feed is behind so I can't spoil.
-
This feed is the one for New York, two minutes behind.
-
I think this is for the people who don't have the delay.
I would those that do not have the football delay to go ahead and start at 8:00pm ET please :waves:
-
No change in credits this week.

The previews make me want to side with Canaan

-
The previews make me want to side with Canaan
I mean I know she is scared, but its a frigging amusement ride.....
-
This stream is lagging, but it'll do. I'll watch the West Coast feed to catch what I missed.
-
Phil: This is Dubai. Former ocean of sand dunes, now the playground of the modern Arab world. This resort, the 5th pitstop in a Race around the world.
Meghan/Cheyne, 8:17 am. CLUE. Choose a Briefcase. Then ... Find the Boardwalk at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club
-
They're screwing with us on the departure times again.
-
Road Block right off the bat.
-
M/C, CLUE: ROADBLOCK. Teams must row an inflatable dinghy across the lake to a Sheikh. Then row back, and teams must deduce that the time on the watch = combination to the briefcase for the next clue.
Brian/Ericka finally leave pitstop in 2nd.
She brags on her good hair.
-
the brief case is just a task ;) , the dinghy is the roadblock
the pitstop confessionals are in the Atlantis
-
Brian: Ericka is a Pageant Patty, but she can rough it.
-
Cheyne figures out the briefcase combination and they'll head to a water park for their next clue.
-
M
ika is going to have a miserable leg if all the tasks are water-based. :neener:
-
Trotters, 10:42 am.
Wow, what a huge lead M/C had!
This is the hottest the guy from New Orleans has ever been? Sheesh ... it's HOT!
Cheyne picks up the huge blue watch with the hour and minute hands on 8:35.
Gary/Matt leave pitstop in 4th.
They ask directions to the Yacht Club.
Matt admits having re-dyed his head last night with dye he brought as his luxury item or summat.
Cheyne figures that it's 8:35. Gotta be those three numbers.
Meg/Ch, CLUE: Take your taxi to the Old Soup (?) Section of Dubai.
Phil: Abra Station.
-
......
-
Taxi driver takes the Globetrotters to the wrong place! :groan:
-
Brian (of course) rows the dinghy toward the Sheikh.
Ericka cannot (!) row.
She nags and yells at him, calling it "encouragement."
Leaving pitstop, Sam/Dan 5th place 11:34 am.
The Trotters' taxista drives them to some other joint. Did he think he'd get more fare that way or summat?
They know they've lost time.
Meanwhile, 8:35 on the Rolex: Brian figures out the clue.
They leave in 2nd.
While the Trotters' taxis ambles through town, Gary/Matt arrive in 3rd.
Meghan/Cheyne see cluebox. DETOUR.
Phil: Dubai's ancient market, choose between 2 materials as old as Man.
Gold, or Glass?
Gold: Jeweler. Find precision scale. Weigh exactly $500,000 value of Gold. They'll have to use the exchange rate in the store which constantly changes.
Glass: Spice market, crate full of disassembled smoking pipes (houkas). Assemble 12 (houkas) for next clue.
-
Detour: Gold or Glass. No water slide yet. Must be a general task.
-
The Detour is kind of Awesome.
-
And one of only 3 or four episode ever to have no form of equalizer.
-
gold or glass
-
Pokeresses make penultimate pitstop departure.
Mika/Canaan leave pitstop in last.
Trotters arrived in 4th to the Yacht Club. Big Easy gets his enormous ass in a little dinghy.
Globetrotter music ...
BigEasy conf about the Mississippi River or summat.
Meg/Ch chose houkas. They'll sort thru a crate to find pipe pieces and reassemble 12 of 'em.
They all look like bongs to me.

Meghan stresses out too easily. This might be their downfall.
-
........
-
Ericka: I don't know much gold, but I do like to wear it. :funny:
-
Sam and Flight split the title :yess:
-
Trotters can't figure out the combination?? :groan:
-
yay! shared title!
-
Big Easy pretty much sinks his dinghy and has to paddle by hand.
Big Easy comes back using it like a skiff, face down paddling by hand.
They're done in 4th.
Sam/Dan start the row.
Pokeresses now have a briefcase.
Big Easy can't find the combination b/c he thinks it's 8-7-something.
The little hand's on the 8, the big hand's on the 7 ... right?
What does "the connection was reset by the server while the page was loading" mean for a reply screen? Yucko magicians .. grr ...
-
Flight "if we stay here long enough Lance and Keri might show up" LOL
-
Mika foreshadows: I'm pretty scared of water.
-
Trotters can't figure out the combination?? :groan:
871, 872, 873, 874, ....... :funny: :funny: :funny:
-
OMG Wow! Trotters
-
Tiff conf: Woohoo! On my rowing skills!
FlightTime: If we screw up long enough, Lance/Keri might show up.
Other teams move by them in order, having figured out 8-3-5 instead of 8-7-something.
Pokeresses gone now, too.
Big Easy frustrated still trying 8-7-x
Brian/Ericka trying to figure the math.
Ericka: Why is that number changing?!!
She wants to use a calculator.
FlightTime tries to calm down Big Easy.
Canaan has his open.
Mika/Canaan leave. Interestingly they don't return the favor from the other day ... just leaving them struggling.
Mika conf: Seeing the Globetrotters struggle was kinda nice. Makes it easier for us to move to the top.
COMMERCIAL.
-
Seriously how hard is it.......
-
"My American education has dumbed me down" BEST.QUOTE.EVER!
-
I think he needs it on the Digital Time Clock.
-
Seriously how hard is it.......
It's pretty damned easy. But there always seems to be one team that can't figure out what should be a relatively easy task.
-
Big Easy lets out a groan that sounded like Luke.
Big Easy starts over, from scratch.
"It's the time!"
They're done, finally.
Big Easy: The hood's mad at me now. "Read the watch, dummy!
-
Nice to see him keep his humor.
-
Ericka Glad I married up
-
Ericka doesn't let Brian choose the other DETOUR.
So they'll weigh the gold again.
Meanwhile, Houka-judge says Meghan/Cheyne need some fixing up before their next clue.
Brian rings the bell again.
Judge: NO.
Brian: How much longer you wanna do this?
Ericka puts her hands on her head.
Matt does everything describing a houka except calling it a bong.
Brian rings the bell again.
B: Last try.
Judge: Sorry, guys.
Brian/Ericka leave for the other choice.
Meanwhile, Meghan/Cheyne start arguing as pieces were missing, laying on the ground.
Finally!
CLUE, Meghan/Cheyne: Make your way to Atlantis, the Palm Dubai.
Phil: Take this 6 story water slide plunge thru a shark tank for the next clue.
-
Meghan frustrated with the Detour says "fudge", lol
-
meghan and cheyne off to the Atlantis, Brian and Ericka switch detours
-
Ericka doesn't let Brian choose the other DETOUR.

-
Gary saying its something different a "Bong" by any chance. And Matt knowing all about them.
-
Boys have a calculator and are still dumb. Hot but dumb.
-
Sam & Dan bringing a calculator to the race = <3
-
Brian/Ericka finally starting houka building now.
In 5th, Pokeresses want to try weighing gold.
Brian/Ericka think they have it.
Judge: NO.
Ericka can't figure out what they've done wrong.
She's frustrated.
They begin to argue.
In 6th, Mika/Canaan choose houkas.
Ericka: Try anything. Please.
Ericka: They're all assembled ... but not correctly.
Sam/Dan doesn't know what the price of gold ... means.
"I don't understand the exchange rate."
-
Sam and Dan bought a calculator at Walmart before the Race
The poker girls are going to help them they pass them the calculator :yess:
-
I'm a bit lost right now. Had a breaking story in the sports media. Trying to catch up through the posts.
-
The trotters FINALLY figure out the lock
-
Dan & Sam and the Poker girls are off the leap of faith!
-
Pokeresses borrow Sam/Dan's calculator.
Maria knows what she's doing!
They make an informal deal to share info.
Unfortunately the exchange rate changes pretty often .. around every minute.
She yells out 538.502 or summat ...
Oops! The rate just changed.
Sam/Dan: DING!
Judge: Wrong.
Trotters, in 7th, choose Houkas.
Ericka is now just barking instructions at Brian.
Finally ! GOLD!
Maria/Tiff and Sam/Dan leave together.
Both Meghan & Cheyne are afraid of heights.
-
Atop the water slide, Meghan/Cheyne.
Instructor: Cross your arms.
Meg: Those are big sharks!!
Meg conf: Don't think about it. Just do it.
She goes down the slide, shrieking.
Meg: There's sharks in here!
She grabs the cluebox.
Phil: Search the grounds for Dolphin Bay Beach, the pitstop. Last team to check in may be eliminated.
Man: Welcome to Dubai.
Phil: Meghan/Cheyne, you're team #1. You've each won a personal watercraft.
-
Meghan & Cheyne are first again.
-
pitstop , go Nick and Starr! I mean Cheyne and Meghan!
-
Gary/Matt arrive as Ericka laments her/Brian's fate.
Trotters arrive.
Seeing them, Ericka: Aw, hell!
Brian's still got colors that don't match, while Ericka's telling him the colors don't matter.
Judge: NO.
Ericka: I have no idea. No idea. Dear God.
COMMERCIAL.
-
Ericka with a deathstare! Classic.
-
Cool hat Phil
-
No surprise that Meghan & Cheyne one this leg, it is the only leg with no equalizers (of any form) that also had a Fast Forward used in the leg before.
I will be very curious at the time of check in for the various teams to truly judge how well they did.
-
The Glass Detour has really stumped the teams. Wow.
-
It looks awfully, powerfully hot out there in Houkabuilder Town.
Brian starts analyzing what he might be doing wrong.
Ericka humors him, clueless.
Matt's touched with the heat. He cops a squat.
M: The heat twirls your world. You don't know what's up or down!
Brian finally FINALLY changes colors and matches the damn hoses.
Brian/Ericka, CLUE: Take a leap of faith to receive your next clue.
FlightTime/Big Easy decide that if it took BRAIN and BITCHFACE 2+hours to build bongs, they'll do Gold.
Big. Mistake. On. Their. Horizon.
Maria/Tiffany finish water slide in 2nd. No, 2nd was not a misprint.
Sam/Dan finish water slide in 3rd.
-
mika "i wish i were naked right now"
puddins bf, alrighty then
-
:hearts:
-
Phil: Maria/Tiffany, you're team #2.
Both: WHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Phil: Looks who's behind you.
Tiff: Baywatch!
Phil: Sam/Dan, you're team #3.
More Globetrotter music.
BigE: Couldn't tell the time on the clock, but gonna weigh $500,000 worth of gold.
At least they have a calculator.
-
Lovin' the point of view of camera on the water slide.
Maria & Tiffany, 2nd
Sam & Dan, 3rd
Tiffany: You boys are looking like Baywatch!
Great lines in this and the last episode. :funny:
-
Sam and Dans Baywatch moment <<<<<<<<<<<<<<3333333333333333 *drools*

okay Ericka had her own baywatch moment running down the beach
-
Gary/Matt finish bong-building in 5th.
Brian/Ericka arrive at Leap of Faith in 4th.
Ericka goes down the slide first, bazooms up!
Nice plot twist, making them run in their bikinis and swim trunks.
Phil: Brian/Ericka, you are team #4.
Mika/Canaan finish bong-building in 6th.
FlightTime/BigEasy still doing the math.
Mika starts boo-hooing as soon as she gets up to the queue.
Gary/Matt do water slide in 5th.
Phil: Gary/Matt, you're team #5.
-
can't say the same for matt and Gary
-
Let the drama begin.
-
can't say the same for matt and Gary
My eyes...my eyes

Mika: DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!1!
Canaan: I'm not losing this Race b/c of this.
Mika: I DON'T WANNA DO IT! I'M ASKEERT!
FlightTime/BigEasy finish math/Gold in 7th.
They're in the taxi now making their way to the water slide park.
Canaan: A million dollars to go down a slide! Take a freaking breath!
Mika: Boo-hoo! IEEEEEEEE!!!!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Canaan grabs her and tries to push.
M: YOU CAN'T MAKE MEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
C: You're gonna make us lose the Race!
COMMERCIAL.
Canaan should have pushed harder. Hell my brother, my sister, my mom and My Dad has thrown me in the water to teach me how to swim. So Suck it up.

Don't you have to pass maths to play college basketball?

The Water Slide is silent.
Canaan: All you gotta do is sit! Sit! Sit! Speak! Play dead! Sit DOWN!
Mika: Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!
She gets her feet in.
Canaan: If you don't do this, you'll regret it.
FlightTime/BigEasy, last place still in the taxi as Mika finally sits her silly ass down in the water.
Mika: I can't do this! Don't get close to me!
Canaan: Close your eyes!
He gets behind her and pushes. She grabs the top and prevents him.
FT/BigE finally show up at the Water Slide.
She's still sitting there.
Mika: Why? Why?
Canaan: Instead of asking why, slide. Moron!
Trotters put on their swim trunks.
Canaan: Your life is going to change in 2 minutes.
RULE: YOU MUST YIELD TO THE OTHER TEAM IN 2 MINUTES.
Big Easy: Don't do it! If you scared, come on back out!
-
the trotters play dirty
-
.....
-
Mika & Canaan step aside and it's over.
-
OH ****! MIKA GETS OUT OF THE SLIDE AND LETS THE GLOBE TROTTERS THROUGH!
-
Goooo Mika!!
Beat the Trotters!! :yess: :yess:
-
Good Riddance! Mika and Canaan sucked!
-
I don't blame the Trotters for doing what they did. Mika was scared and they played off it.

....... :'(
-
Canaan takes off down the slide and leaves Mika behind.
She decides that she can't do it.
M: He's gonna hate me.
She walks down the stairs.
Phil: FlightTime/BigEasy, you are team #6. You're still in the Race. One of the most dramatic finishes we've ever had.
Conf: We slam dunked it!
Man: Welcome ...
Phil: Mika/Canaan, you're the last team to arrive. Sorry to tell you, you have been eliminated from the Race.
Mika: I let Canaan down. And myself.
Canaan conf: It could have been me up there. There's freedom in forgiveness. There's freedom in understanding. People aren't perfect and neither are you.
-
commercial spoilers :funny:
-
Now Canaan is forgiving. Wasn't when he wanted to throw Mika down the well.
-
I don't blame the Trotters for doing what they did. Mika was scared and they played off it.
Agree 100%. What else are they supposed to do, knowing that their race could be over if they weren't the first team down the slide of the two? Just wait and wait for Mika to do it?
-
While I do understand that fear is an incredibly powerful influence, but TAR typically has racers facing their fears. I honestly think this is the first time a team had to quit a task do to a racer not performing a task.
Yikes.
NEXT WEEK ON .. THE AMAZING RACE:
Phil: Ericka breaks down.
She's in front of some empty bike racks.
Ericka: I dunno what else to do. Run?
Ok, Flo....
Phil: ... and the Globe Trotters break it down.
Dancing in costume, looks like Europe.
Conf, FlightTime: Once we got it, it was Soul Train!
-
Now Canaan is forgiving. Wasn't when he wanted to throw Mika down the well.
I honestly think I would have pushed her in.
-
Next week, Ericka breaks down and the Globbies break it down.
Quote: Once we got it, it was like Soul Train. :funny: :funny:
This season has been great for the one liners.

I can think of many teams on previous seasons that would've done exactly that.

I honestly think I would have pushed her in.
Me too!!
They lost due to Mika Fear.. :'( :'(
-
Well the Trotters could have let the time run down in silence, and if Mika did manage to perform it they have to know that they would be able to beat Mika & Canaan in a foot race.
But I don't blame them for what they did. It just wasn't a nice thing to do.

Well Flo refused to to repel, but she had the option of another task. This is the first time a team has lost due to a racer's inability to face his/her fear.

He would have thrown her face first.
-
I don't entirely blame the Globetrotters for their actions. After all, they want to get moving and not wait for two minutes.
I feel a little sorry for Mika. She couldn't deal with her fear of heights and water. But she should've been able to overcome it. Because she couldn't, she & Canaan are out of the Race
Belle Book
P.S. I don't want to imagine Jonathan the Jerk in Canaan's place! Oh, the horror!

I think there are lots of racers who would have pushed her (or tried to) both men and women. Can you imagine Lori letting Bolo say he was to scared to do it? She would throw his ass down into the water, without even using the slide.

Mika so needed help from Tina
-
They weren't a strong racing team (but I did like them, they were goof balls, see them both getting the clue from teh dragon... or Canaan being a monkey!!).
But to lose like this. Yikes. Even Flo's breakdowns were over the much, much longer stress of the race, though Saint Zach wouldn't have tried to push her.
-
I can just picture Tina or Jennifer giving the death stare to their partners before body slamming them down the tube.

Lori would have ripped the top part of the slide off, hit Bolo in the back and made him jump to the bottom.

It's a typical basketball move, I guess, and they did it well.
NO!! :'( :'( But hated how Canaan tried to force Mika down. And sad for Mike being the first person to not complete a task due to fear. =( Oh well, not my fave to win anyway, always at the bottom, etc.
-
Can't wait t see the elimination station, and the Matt Chat....
-
For an episode that looked on the surface as weak in tasks, this was surprisingly difficult. I liked it a lot.
-
By the way did we get to see a departure time for Brian & Ericka?
-

I'll have to watch the West Coast feed to find out.

I thought the RB was meh...but the Detour was interesting

Nice to see the Detour giving the teams difficulty instead of them breezing through it.

I think they could've taken a little from each Dubai episode and combined it into one leg.
-
By the way did we get to see a departure time for Brian & Ericka?
We did... 817 AM. for Meghan and Cheyne and 959 for Brian/Ericka.
:wtg: CHATEAU!

Thanks Peach.
My "cough" completely illegal copy of the episode some time isn't available until the wee hours of the morning. But tonight. I will have it done in 10 minutes.

pitstop , go Nick and Starr! I mean Cheyne and Meghan!
OMG my thoughts exactly! :funny: They're pulling a Nick/Starr!!! Let us open our eyes people! :meow: Complete with cool/calm/collected male & freaking out female. :funny: If they win next leg, then it's official. My taste in teams suck! :funny:
Now Canaan is forgiving. Wasn't when he wanted to throw Mika down the well.
I honestly think I would have pushed her in.
I can think of many teams on previous seasons that would've done exactly that.
*imagines Johnathan in Canaan's place*
First person that came to mind.
I think there are lots of racers who would have pushed her (or tried to) both men and women. Can you imagine Lori letting Bolo say he was to scared to do it? She would throw his ass down into the water, without even using the slide.
Lori would have ripped the top part of the slide off, hit Bolo in the back and made him jump to the bottom.
It's funny because it's true.
You know it! Although I was saddened because Mika/Canaan actually had a chance to get rid of a strong team/keep 'em in had Mika sucked it up.
I can just picture Tina or Jennifer giving the death stare to their partners before body slamming them down the tube.

After rewatching this episode (and the others of this season, I have question for everyone. What the hell does Ericka actually do? Sure she does her individual tasks, and she did find the snow man. But it in almost every other episode she is just letting Brian do all the work.
It's like watching pre season 6, when often the female partner of a team would let the man do the majority of everything.

The Beauty Queen season...
-
I thought it was Season 5. Kim/Christie/Nicole only doing 1 RB. :funny:
And Season 5 was the Beauty Queen season too, as I recall. :funny:

Cool hat Phil
I think it is a Tilley. I bought one for my husband. They have an excellent sun protection level.

Gosh, last episode was great and this episode brought back old memories of me being all hyped up over the show. I can't believe Mika go onto the race despite being afriad of heights and waters.. so she's going to quit if the startling line challenge is a skydiving challenge? What the? In the previews, it looks as though Canaan was being an ass, but seriously.. for a guy who was extremely loving still to his girlfriend at the pitstop, keeping his cool and accepting her failure.. someone please give kudos to this guy and i hope Mika DO keep him by her side for life because i can't see any other guy who'll probably give in to her ways?
Love the Detour. Did anyone expected the Detour to be that tough? It brings us back to the earlier seasons where the Detour tasks were a killer! :funny:
The Roadblock was surprisingly uncool.. why row a boat in Dubai when there's so many other things to do? But the Detour fully and totally made up for it. And the waterpark was just a side attraction, because the pitstop is near it and at such a beautiful location! <3 it!
Shocked at how Ericka seemed as though she isn't contributing at all, love how the guys (Brian, Cheyne and Canaan) controlled the emotions of their girls.. it is the girls freaking out this season instead! :funny: Was also quite suprised that Meghan freaked out at the Detour. On the other hand, Sam and Dan and Maria and Tiff did so well this leg. I guess having an alliance does help in this race....
Still can't get over how Mika quitted... and disappointed that the hateful Globetrotters ain't eliminated. I thought their thrash talk to Mika at the water slide was uncalled for and rude. They could have outran them anytime even after they slide down and i just thought that it was extremely extremely rude for what they have down. They definitely went down on my list and finally after Lance and Keri, there's a team for me to hate this season still.

They're screwing with us on the departure times again.
TARAsiaFan,
These indicate a regular 12 hour pit stop, so how is that "screwing with us on departure times again"?

By the looks of things, Leg 5 wasn't a 12-hour pit stop, if you are referring to Leg 5 of course.

OH ****! MIKA GETS OUT OF THE SLIDE AND LETS THE GLOBE TROTTERS THROUGH!
This is not the way I saw it. The attendant had timed starting with the arrival of Herb/Nate. He had warned Mika and Canaan that after 2 minutes they would have to give up their place in the chute. Mika was doing as ordered when she got out.

TARAsiaFan, I stand corrected. It was a perfect 24 hour pit stop.

I've read a few people criticize the Globetrottes for heckling Mika at the slide, both here and elsewhere on the net.
Uh, folks, it's a race for a million dollars, not a race to see who can make the most friends. Mika/Canaan had ample time to take their turn, they had no right to hang the other teams up. And yes, maybe the guys could have outrun them to the pitstop if they sat back and waited for her to get the nerve to go, but they are still in a race against 5 other teams. Those few precious minutes of patiently waiting could come back and bite them in the butt in a future leg.

I know, it's a race for a million dollars, but at least half the teams on the past 14 seasons won the race with class and poise. The globetrotters actions were pretty much uncalled for. They could have beaten Mika and Canaan anytime in a footrace. Do i need to bring up the example of Uchenna and Joyce all over again?

. . . so after two minutes, Mika did "GETS OUT OF THE SLIDE AND LETS THE GLOBE TROTTERS THROUGH!" right?

TARAsiaFan, Sam and Dan have a calculator to sell you. It looks like you desperately need one. Oh, wait. You can do this by hand: what is 817am - sometime about 1 to 2 hours before 10pm? Golly, it's 12 hours. OK what is 959am - 10pm? Gee, it's 12 hours once again. My guesstimates start times were off by almost an hour for Sam/Dan, Maria/Tiffany, Sam/Dan but I am confident that thye had 12 hour pit stops. To paraphrase what someone has said, "just because you proclaim it doesn't make it so." It clearly was a 12 hour pit stop!
...but using Chateau's arrival time for Meghan and Cheyne last leg;
This shot was taken between 8:22 and 8:34 am (assumes July 27th).
and their start time from this episode
We did... 817 AM. for Meghan and Cheyne and 959 for Brian/Ericka.
it seems we can settle this as a 24 hour pitstop. What am I missing? :duno:

I have to agree with Mr. Amazing Race on this. The attendant told her to step aside and she did.

Yes, I agreed they could have beaten Mika & Canaan at a foot race...but they still have next leg to worry about. How much time are they supposed to give up to wait for her? Canaan said they spent 45 minutes up there. She could have easily spent another 45. And while they could win a foot race and survive this leg, the time they spent waiting for her could jeopardize them in the next leg. Sometimes teams miss flights by mere minutes, every second in TAR is valuable.

It's just 2 minutes if Mika doesn't want to go down. Mika and Canaan has to let the globetrotters go first if they don't slide down after they're there for 2 minutes.

I agree, the globetrotters just needed to wait for 2 minutes, they did not need to do that to Mika.
I still couldn't believe Mika/Canaan lost because of this, I have never seen any racer freak out like that, she is even worse than Flo. I mean what's the point to fight so hard in the beginning when Mika could just let the 45-minute lead wasted? I believe no one could understand how Canaan felt at that point, seeing the chance of being in the race disappeared, this leg could really be a turning point for them but Mika just gave up.
