As always everyone is welcomed to join in the commentary BUT with the probable late start we ask those that might view the show before said time, 8:00 ET with delay, to please do not drop hints or post the results until we all are done viewing. We like spoilers yeah but we enjoy watching the show together as well. Anyone hinting or posting results or tidbits will be banned for a week! I want to enjoy the show please, not babysit.
tyia :waves:
for this week, taken from the ratings thread .. thanks to Ken!
Next week, we'll have another overrun which will help especially if North Carolina, an NCAA Tournament brand name, is in the late game. Ratings will go up if 1) the game is close and 2) 60 Minutes has another blockbuster night like it has for the last two weeks (Federal Charman Bernanke and President Obama).
-
LeBron James is the blockbuster interview tonight on 60 Minutes.
Tip time for the late game is scheduled for 5:05 p.m. Should not move unless the early game involving Louisville/Michigan State goes into multiple OT's.
-
Well I am here to watch today! Yayayaya!!!
-
If the late game ends late, then I'll have to ask my Mom to tape Celebrity Apprentice as I don't want to miss that show but I want to see The Amazing Race more.

I'll let you know what the official start time will be. I suspect it will be in the 8:15 - 8:20 p.m. range.
-
Michigan State-Louisville ended on time. It's up to North Carolina and Oklahoma now. Tip time slated for 5:05 p.m. as stated.
-
I'll let you know what the official start time will be. I suspect it will be in the 8:15 - 8:20 p.m. range.
I know that the second half last week dragged on, but this week the halftime will be over soon at 510pm. I fearlessly estimate a 710pm start for 60 Minutes and a 810pm start for the Amazing Race.
-
Don't forget the 10 minutes of dragging out after the game is over, ap. There will be the announcement of the Final Four tip times, the Pontiac Gamechanger, the Chevrolet Players of the Game, plus about seven minutes of commercials. My estimate holds.
-
Not this week. There are only 2 other teams in this and they were analyzed yesterday. 3:30 to go and North Carolina up by 12 means there will be no overtime. Play has resume at 700pm, so they should finish around 710pm. Then it is a quesiton of how much crap CBS want s to through at us. It should not be 10 minutes.
-
CBS has to pay the rent. 7:15 p.m.

I'll take it! :jumpy:

Ok, what did I tell you, ap? 8:15 - 8:20 p.m. range. 60 Minutes will start at 7:17 p.m. I know these things. Bow down to me!

I hope Phil doesn't spoil the end in the beginning again :umn:

here we go!
-
Did it start?
-
PREVIOUSLY ON .. THE AMAZING RACE:
Phil: Seven teams raced from Novosibirsk to Jaipur, India. Mel's keen awareness pushed him ahead at the Roadblock. Tammy/Vic danced through the leg with ease, which led to another 1st place finish. Starting in last, the flight attendants faced an uphill battle. Jodi powered through the Roadblock, while the Mark/Michael labored at the Detour. In a tight race to the mat, Christie/Jodie came up short and were eliminated. Tonight, the heat takes its toll on Margie.
Credits roll.

new opening love
-
On to Phuket. Tammy says she wasn't able to do anything thanks to Victor. Hmmmmm.
-
Mel is a riot ..
Mike: do you speak any Thai dad?
Dad: Mai-Tai ..that was a pun!
-
Phil: This is Jaipur, jewel of NW India. Founded 300 years ago by a Maharajah, it's known for its beauty. This sky high fortress was the 6th pitstop in a Race around the world.
Tammy/Victor, CLUE, 10:21 am. Fly to Phuket, Thailand.
Two thousand miles. Using only this picture as a reference, find the Gorilla Statue at the Phuket Zoo.
They have to purchase tix at a ticket agent or summat.
-
Margie says she needs a break from signing, wants to rest her arms. She's tired. Wait until she hits the humidity in Phuket.
-
OMG, Love Cara/Jaime's new opening sequence! :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:
-
Kisha giving out money to the kids in Jaipur. She's hurting to see the poverty with the children.
-
Bunched on the plane.
-
Mel/Mike, 10:50 am.
Excited to be going to Mel's "favorite city."
Dad jokes that the only Thai he speaks is Mai Tai. No giggles ensued.
Tammy/Vic show up at the huge ticket agency. They'll arrive Phuket 8:50 am tomorrow.
Kisha/Jen, 11:02 am. Head for travel agency.
Conf: They don't want any alliances or anything.
Margie/Luke, 11:03 am. In the most obvious foreshadowing of the evening, Margie conf: I get tired moving my arms translating for Luke.
Jaime/Cara leave close behind them.
Mark/Michael leave in last, 11:11 am.
They talk about Phuket's diving.
Kids put their hands in Kisha/Jen's cab to beg for money.
Kisha is a middle school programs coordinator, so she can't resist.
Kisha/Jen arrive at the travel agent in last place.
Jaime/Cara not there yet, though. They went elsewhere to buy tix.
Seems like everyone has the same flight.
EQUALIZED.
-
Based on the TAR Asia edition, we know that taxi drivers in Thailand can be a bit nuts. We're seeing that here the US TAR edition.
-
Victor for the title.
-
The Elephant from the Amazing Race Montage!!!!!!
-
And this is a general task! Who knew? :groan: :groan:
-
Mark & Michael comment about the left arm.
-
Kisha & Jen talk about the arm.
-
They arrive Phuket, 14 hrs later.
Teams run out of the airport for taxis.
They have gorilla statue pics.
They show the pics to their drivers.
It's a RRRAAACCCEEEEE people!
Unfortunately, Jaime/Cara's driver doesn't understand "RACE" at all.
Unfortunately Tammy/Vic can't get a cab at all.
Okay, finally they do.
Teams all stop somewhere to get directions. Follow the leader! You ask, we ask! You get out, we get out!
Mark/Michael driver says "it's in Phuket Zoo." They go!
Mel/Mike, who held back, follow.
Kisha/Jen next behind them.
Jaime/Cara in their cab seem to be running their own race.
Animals! Roar! Tiger! Monkey!
Teams get out of cabs and run.
There's the gorilla statue!
Jaime/Cara, CLUE: Take a walk on the wild side. Take picture with Esso the Tiger. Then, take part in a performance where elephants sqauat over them. Return to the tiger station, to get the photo you took, and the next CLUE.
-
Mel & Mike are really, really lost.
-
And this is a general task! Who knew? :groan: :groan:
I did...Suckers.....
-
I'm waiting for the elephant to take a dump on one of the racers.
-
And this is a general task! Who knew? :groan: :groan:
I did...Suckers.....
Hush you. Of course you would.
-
Jaime/Cara and Mark/Michael run to the tiger at the same time, for a pic.
Mark/Michael get there first.
They notice, ominously, that the tiger handler only has ONE ARM!
Jaime/Cara have to wait.
Mel/Mike's cab is lost, taking them to the beach to go spelunking or summat.
Kisha/Jen conf: Mark and Mike are each about the size of the trainer's missing arm!
Jaime/Cara conf about the tiger pic.
Tammy/Vic, 4th and Margie/Luke, 5th, arrive at the gorilla statue.
No sign of Mel/Mike. They're at the beach.
Back to Bataan!
-
I am still in shock THAT NONE of them googled Phuket +gorillas>> they would have found it.
-
...
-
Kisha/Jen marvel at Mark/Michael being stomped and backs kneaded by an elephant.
Whoa! That feels ... good!
They quickly run back to the tiger.
Kisha/Jen take their place.
Mark/Michael, CLUE: Make your way to old Phuket Town.
Phil: They must go to Nguan Choon Tuan Herbs shop. They have to pick the right 1 of 99 drawers for the next clue. Must keep guessing until they get it right.
-
Jaime & Cara call Mike & Mark "The Tweedles". Very funny.
-
Heee...Kisha is happy that she took a picture with a tiger and didn't pee herself! :lol3:
-
Jaime/Cara, Kisha/Jen in 2nd and 3rd.
Tammy/Vic quickly finish in 4th.
Mel/Mike are asking directions at the beach.
Mel, frustrated, makes comments about the Empire State Building.
Mike: We're lost! We're lost!
COMMERCIAL.
-
Mark & Michael get their clue from the drawer first and pass the red heads. So much for the Tweedles, huh?
-
Jaime being very impatient in a task that requires a lot of patience.
-
.....
-
Detour =Boats vs Rickshaws, as expected, so where the heck is our RB? ???
-
That tea shop task would surely get on my nerves to if I were Jaime...
-
Did anyone lose CBS for a split second?
-
That's Neobie's gym!! Where they were looking for the boats!! :hearts:
-
Mel/Mike watch traffic go by.
Finally somebody knows, "Phuket Zoo!"
Mel: You sure?
The guy is very, very sure.
They tell the taxista to take them back to town.
In separate cabs, Jaime/Cara make a "Tweedledee/Tweedledum" comment about Mark/Mike.
"They're like characters from a cartoon!"
Both teams arrive at the herb shop.
Man: GOOODDDD MAWWWNNNIIINGGG
Each team guesses. Both wrong.
They yell numbers at the man.
The guy pullling drawers out "didn't speak a lick of English" either.
Finally Mel/Mike make it back to the zoo. Picture! Smile!
Kisha/Jen arrive at the herb shop with 2 teams already picking numbers.
Now three teams.
Mark/Michael, choose 114. DETOUR.
Phil: A hundred barrels, or 2 miles.
Barrels, make way to harbor, prepare fishing ship for 10 days at sea. Fill 47 barrells and move 53 empties to the roof, arranging properly.
Two miles, Make way to temple, choose ricksha. One pull, one ride. If there's a flat tire, you get to pump it up!
-
Jaime/Cara still trying.
Tammy/Victor start choosing numbers. She's keeping a list of numbers already chosen.
Kisha/Jen get number correct, leave in 2nd for the DETOUR. They choose 2 miles.
Margie/Luke come next. Luke's first pick is right! They leapfrog two teams, Jaime/Cara, Tammy/Vic.
-
Mark & Michael get the penalty. I think.
-
the temple where the rickshaws were stationed
-
Jaime's gotta calm down. Or get a man. One or the other or both.
-
No Roadblock?? ??? ??? ???
-
Mark & Michael get the penalty. I think.
It would seem so
-
Ladies and gentlemen, we just saw Mark & Michael get the grounds for their 2 penalties.
-
I think Jamie & Cara get 2 penalties. They bought tickets at airport and didn't put air in tire.
-
No Roadblock?? ??? ??? ???
Now wonder why we couldnt fricking figure it out
Here come the penalties!!
2 30 minute penalties !
the pumps and hiring the driver to lead them
-
I think Jamie & Cara get 2 penalties. They bought tickets at airport and didn't put air in tire.
Not even close.
One hour time penalty for Mark & Mike. Wow. Intentionally tampering with the pumps and having the taxi direct them to the clue.
Hannah Montana movie? Oh no. :groan:
-
Mark and Michael get 2 30 minute penalties!! We were ALL wrong!! :lol3:
-
Tammy/Vic get their number and choose 2 miles DETOUR.
Jaime/Cara are getting very frustrated, since they watched all the other teams get numbers before them.
Finally, some luck, after all. They get numbers and leave.
Mark/Michael are at the temple. THey use the foot-operated pump to pump up the tires of the ricksha.
As other teams arrive, they do extra work (huh?) to throw teams off, making them think (huh?) it'll be more work than it really is.
Anyway, Mel/Mike finally arrive, alone, at the herb shop.
Margie/Luke seem lost.
Jaime/Cara get directions and offer Margie/Luke to follow them.
Both teams will now do the same DETOUR (unclear which they had intneded to do originally) since they are going to the same place.
Plodding thru the traffic congested streets, Mark/Mike almost get run over. Eeyow!
They pay a cab to lead them to the end of the DETOUR.
Tammy/Vic ask directions at the Ricksha site and leave, him pulling and her riding.
Mel/Mike still pulling drawer numbers. Finally, a clue! They choose Barrels.
Mark and Vic running (running!!)through the streets.
There's the route marker within sight for Midgets.
Jaime/Cara doing Ricksha ask directions and get a local confused. Not much common language there, I fear.
Mark/Michael, CLUE: Walk, run or hire to the next pitstop.
Phil: Wat Thep Temple, last team to check in may be eliminated.
-
Mark and Michael get 2 30 minute penalties!! We were ALL wrong!! :lol3:
Ashe? I think your fears were unwarranted. Thank goodness.
-
Kisha/Jen choose the 100 Barrels task.
They choose to unload fish first.
Mark/Michael very proud of themselves in the cab.
Woman: Welcome to Phuket, Thailand.
Phil: Mark/Michael, you are THE FIRST TEAM TO ARRIVE!
They hug.
(but ... uh - oh ... )
Phil: However, you have incurred TWO 30 minute penalties. First, for putting the pumps away you tampered with equipment. Second, for hiring a cab to lead you along the ricksha route. Wait over there.
-
I would never have thought... Never...
-
A half hour into their penalty, Mark & Michael are still alone at the pit stop.
-
Tammy & Victor left their rickshaw early.
-
Tammy & Victor and Jaime & Cara racing towards the pit stop.
-
Already finished here -- great episode!
(keeps mouth shut)
-
Mark & Michael really rocked this task and had they not tampered with the pumps and got help, they would have had a nice lead for the next leg.
Tammy & Victor first and right after them are Jaime & Cara.
-
Mark & Michael third after the penalty.
-
The clock ticks down to 49 minutes.
Conf: We were sweating! We didn't know how far behind the other teams were!
Vic tells Tammy he can't run anymore. (Actually he isn't running anymore.)
That's fine with Tammy.
Luke pulls Margie.
Kisha/Jen screw up by letting the house pop out of the barrels. Wasted water, could have been done already.
Mel/Mike show up to begin barrels.
Kisha: Who's behind you?
Mel: No one, I'm sure!
Penalty time down to 32 minutes.
Vic starts running again, as Tammy wears the customary hat. She gives him the hat.
Jaime/Cara switch seats/pulling/riding duties.
Tammy/Vic, finish ricksha.
Margie's riding, Luke's pulling.
Luke runs in front. Margie is yelling at Luke. He can't hear her, of course.
She tosses the hat at him to get his attention!
Tammy/Vic misread their clue and forgot to bring their RICKSHA to the CLUEBOX.
They have to go back.
Jaime/Cara actually get the pitstop clue in 2nd.
Tammy/Vic get the clue in 3rd.
-
........
-
Penalty time 12 minutes.
Mel/Mike catch up to Kisha/Jen.
I think Kisha/Jen still ahead, but not by much.
-
Margie collapses at the mat. Her fingers are frozen. She lost feeling in her limbs.
-
Margie/Luke finish ricksha in 4th.
They get the pitstop clue.
In the cab, Margie: I think I'm gonna pass out. Thailand is the hottest place I've ever been.
Phil: Tammy/Victor, you're the 2nd team to arrive. Mark/Michael incurred two penalties.
Therefore, as the winners of this leg, you've won a trip to Oahu.
-
Phil: Jaime/Cara, you're team #2.
Mark/Michael still sitting as Phil calls them up.
Margie/Luke's cab arrives.
Phil: Mark/Michael, you're team #3.
-
Margie: Need water! My fingers have frozen.
Phil: Margie/Luke, you are team #4.
Luke: YAY!
Margie tries to hug him.
Phil: The bionic woman has done it!
Margie collapses.
Luke tries to hold her up.
Motioning to someone, Phil: Bring water!
Luke: NO! NO!
-
I'm saddened by the No/Unaired Roadblock this leg.
-
Oh Marge .. what a scare!!
-
Margie is helped to get her body temperature down.
-
Kisha & Jen get their clue ahead of Mel & Mike.
-
Did Kisha & Jen take private transportation?
-
The sisters are done! and on their way to the pitstop! The sisters driver took them to the wrong temple!!
Mike & Mel are on their wayyyyyyyyyyy
Sisters find a new driver
its a cab race!!!!!!!!!
around the corner the SISTERSSSSSSSSSS
Here come Mike & Mel and they are eliminated..........SORRY!!!!!!!!!!
-
Phil: Water, guys! Water! Get some oxygen in your body.
They give her some assistance with hand-fans or summat.
Margie: I'm fine. I'm fine.
She's not all that fine, though.
The battle rages for 5th.
At the harbor, Mel/Mike only have 10 more.
Kisha/Jen on their last barrel.
Fisherman gives Kisha/Jen their CLUE.
Mel/Mike only have a couple remaining.
Kisha/Jen take their cab. They make fun of something, perhaps a local? Perhaps Mel/Mike? Dunno.
Looks like Kisha/Jen have been taken to the wrong place.
They got DROPPED there, too! Uh-oh ...
Mel/Mike finish, squeal, and take their cab "fast!fast!" toward the pitstop.
Kisha/Jen ask directions.
They get a bus.
Bus driver: Wap Thip Nimit is very far.
They're not happy.
Mel/Mike's cab seens to know where they're going.
-
Awwwww. Mel & Mike are eliminated. Margie and Luke are forever stuck with 1st and 4th place.
-
Phil: Good news Kisha/Jen, you're team #5.
Both: Oh, man!
Woman: Welcome to Phuket, Thailand.
Phil: Mel/Mike, you are the last team to arrive. Sorry to tell you, you have been eliminated from the Race.
Mel: Great run.
Phil: What's special about your son?
Mel: He's wise, mature, he's my kid. I've left something in the world that will make the world a better place.
Mike conf: We've been father/son, but never before teammates. The cameraderie of the team was a great gift the Race gave us.
-
I'm saddened by the No/Unaired Roadblock this leg.
Me too! :'( :'( :'(
-
God, I hate that tonight will be the last real time we get to see Mel & Mike. For all my bitching about lack of alpha male teams, I did really like almost every team this season.
It sucks (but in a really good way).
-
I just noticed the thread title, puddin. Thank you! :winner :winner :conf: :conf: :conf:     :monkey :monkey :cheer3: :cheer3: :hoot: :hoot:
-
Fine Puddin, be a suck up....
-
Mat meltdown! Mat Meltdown! Mark & Mike!
-
That was the question I forgot.. Oh well there is two weeks from tonight.
-
NEXT TIME ON .. THE AMAZING RACE:
Phil: Two weeks from tonight.
Phil: Teams karaoke in Bangkok!
Looks like they entertain a Matatu (small bus/van) with a microphone and lyrics on screen.
Phil: ... and after Mark/Michael make a critical mistake, the gloves come off.
Midget: We have to go back and get our packs!
They angrily make accusations to each other, in the back of a cab.
-
Well off to wait for the West coast feed, hope this weeks a good one. Oh and figure out what the roadblock was (if they had one, with this season who knows).
-
So sorry to see Mel & Mike go. I liked them. Come to think of it, I like just about all the teams.
So it was Mark & Michael who got the two 30-minute penalties! They made another stupid mistake! I should've known it would be them. Glad it wasn't Cara & Jamie who did it, at least.
Belle Book

The Fast-Forward was THIS leg!!
I spotted it! if you would please, watch the scene of Jamie and Cara's Tiger picture.
look in Jamie...or Cara's hand (I still get them confused) and you will see a clue with the fast-forward symbol on it.
So, no one used it. it was never aired.
lol I feel special now! :yess:
-
new opening love
Anyone else notice the unaired fast forward? Jaime & Cara clearly have a fast forward clue in their lap in the tiger photo shown in puddins' message above.
Edit: Beat me to it.
-
:taze
I love this smiley!!!!! :funny: :funny:

So how did I do? :duno:

Mark and Michael get 2 30 minute penalties!! We were ALL wrong!! :lol3:
Apparently, no one even noticed that I was the one who predicted it.

I don't think we had a Roadblock this week. Unique.

Did anyone see Margie & Luke in the Previews? I still wonder how her health will affect the next leg.
-
So how did I do? :duno:
PERFECT SCORE!! Go see the episode thread!! :hfive:

Another exciting episode with a weirdly-satisfying end result. I was a bit surprised there was no Roadblock. They could've made the tiger and elephant thing a Roadblock easily. And as for the Detour, I can't tell which I'd have chosen. Probably 100 Barrels since Mel & Mike found such an easy way to speed right through it.
Oh, and I'm quite happy that we have not one, but two women's teams in the F5! First time this has happened since All-Stars!
Tammy & Victor: I'm a little surprised they won the leg, especially since I could've sworn they left something behind and weren't called on it. But at least Victor didn't annoy me all that much this week. Good move getting a local to draw them a map, though. Other than that, I didn't see them stand out much this week.
Jaime & Cara: Okay, Jaime, you need to calm down with locals. Seriously. Your only redeeming qualities in this case is that you have Cara to keep you calm, and the fact that you both work together so cooperatively. Minus the local thing, you are looking more like redheaded versions of the BQs. Congrats on your highest finish so far.
Mark & Michael: You did well on the tasks, but sabotaging the Detour like that was just not cool at all. And didn't you read the part of the clue saying you couldn't hire a guide?! You deserved the penalties. Both of them. And the loss of first place, as well.
Margie & Luke: Not much seen of you this week, but good call switching Detours quickly when you knew you wouldn't find the one you first chose. I'm glad Margie's all right, though. She had me worried for a moment.
Kisha & Jen: Close call, girls. I think whatever lead you had was just good enough to keep you in front of Mel & Mike. Sorry about the bad break with your cab, though. Well, both of them -- both before and after the Detour.
Mel & Mike: I liked you guys, but this was a well-earned elimination. While your driver was somewhat to blame, you two were just as culpable for not getting out of your cab and/or asking for help with the gorilla picture sooner. You should've done that, and Kisha & Jen would be gone. That said, I'm happy enough to see you go just because of Mel's sad-sack moments whenever things go wrong for you.
So, after seven episodes:
LOVE: Tammy, Jaime/Cara, Margie/Luke, Kisha/Jen
LIKE: Victor, Mark/Michael
NEUTRAL: No one
DISLIKE: No one
HATE: No one
Victor's still under "like," but he could get back to "love." Mark & Michael, OTOH, are close to "neutral." I'll base whether or not they get down there on the severity of their upcoming mistake.
This season is just getting better and better. I can't believe we have to wait two more weeks to see what happens next! Damn CBS for the country music thing!
-
I would just LOVE to be that tiger!
I was thinking that Margie and Luke could possibly get a penalty for riding a motorcycle, but I guess not. Because they weren't told not to.
-

I don't think Luke & Margie were on a motorcycle last night. It was Mel seeing things.
Gator 27
-
That's correct. Mel thought he saw Luke & Margie on a motorcycle, but the mother and son were back with the gorilla.
-
Mel/Mike watch traffic go by.

Two miles, Make way to temple, choose ricksha. One pull, one ride. If there's a flat tire, you get to pump it up!
mswood, my perspective on the flat tires is different. Each rickshaw has ONE tire only that is flat, so it is guaranteed to run badly unless you figure that out and get the necessary air from the pump. No teams at the start of that DETOUR after Mark/Michael appeared to figure that out, partially because of the obfuscation of the pumps by them (they certainly deserved that penalty as it must have disrupted all the other teams).
-
God, I hate that tonight will be the last real time we get to see Mel & Mike. For all my bitching about lack of alpha male teams, I did really like almost every team this season.
It sucks (but in a really good way).
Perhaps because there are no alpha male teams in AR14. Mel was 68 years old and Mark/Michael were short people. If there's another male/male team then I missed it. Contrast that with the 3 very strong female/female teams that were or are still in AR14. Does somebody at World Race Productions and CBS want to see a F/F victory? I'd say there is a good chance of that since there are casting teams that encourage it.

I would just LOVE to be that tiger!
I was thinking that Margie and Luke could possibly get a penalty for riding a motorcycle, but I guess not. Because they weren't told not to.
It was funny! Mel thought it was Luke and Marge ..cue the "gong"

Question is that a Fast Forward clue in one of the images with Jaime & Cara and the Tiger?

Here's my opinion on the teams:
Tammy & Victor -- great job! You really recovered from your meltdown in the third leg and are working together much better.
Cara & Jamie -- Jamie, you need to be more patient and to do better with the locals. At least you have Cara to keep you calm and you two work together well.
Mark & Michael -- idiots, at least for the taxi bit. With the sabotage bit, you're worse than idiots -- you're a little too cutthroat! Don't ever do that again!
Margie & Luke -- maybe you should've put a hat on like Victor did, Margie. I hope you recover nicely from the heat exhaustion or heatstroke incident.
LaKisha & Jen -- I guess the 2 Miles Detour was the better choice. That said, you did well enough to avoid Philimination.
Mel & Mike -- I'm sorry you're gone, but you really screwed up badly. If you had gotten help sooner or realized you were in the wrong place sooner, you'd still be here.
Love: Tammy & Victor, Margie & Luke and Cara.
Like: LaKisha & Jen.
Neutral: Jamie (for now), Mark & Michael.
Belle Book
P.S. And yes, Mswood, it appears that the Fast-Forward clue is in one of the images with Cara & Jamie and the tiger. I think it's also in a photo with Tammy & Victor and the tiger.

So that was the only one?

I guess I should have paused it, and study the image!
I was a little confused because I only saw two people instead of three.

This was a great episode! I liked seeing the culture of Thailand, and I just thought it was nice to see the race edited from a different perspective this time (that of Jaime & Cara). The surprise elimination at the end double shocked me, because first I thought it would be Kisha & Jen last, and second I thought it would be a non-elim. A real shocker that I enjoyed! :jumpy:
The only thing that disappoints me is just how influencial the order they leave the airport seems to be. The teams didn't switch around very much in placings even though there were many opportunities. I hope that changes, or Tammy & Victor will win every remaining leg just by leaving the airport first! :res:
Tammy & Victor: They were just kind of there this time, which I thought was nice, because they aren't as much a thorn in my side, but I still want to see them gone. *crosses fingers* It's nothing they did wrong, it's just that I don't feel very open to another season of sibling domination.
Jaime & Cara: We got to see a lot more of them this week, and I think that was a good thing, although I can't so easily say I'm rooting for them very much. Jaime's personality makes it difficult to warm up to them, but maybe she will adjust and hopefully gain patience. I don't really like how she treats the locals, and that's not a good thing.
Mark & Michael: I was sitting at the TV screen amazed and pleased to see them finish first. They were the real winners of this leg, mostly because I don't think a penalty for the tire pump was warranted, and they would have been first without that. I have regained my liking for them, and I do realize they are being edited to look more annoying than they really are.
Margie & Luke: They are hanging on in fourth, but I think that if they don't find a different spot to settle into, they will be gone soon. That may not be a bad thing, though, because we have seen a lot of them already. I like Margie, but Luke is becoming too sinister and "in it to win it" for my liking.
Kisha & Jen: Not a lot from them this time, either. This was probably because of all the many other things going on, but I hope they start to feel more like they are a part of the race. Right now they look like outsiders. Not a great Detour choice this time, either.
Mel & Mike: The unexpected elimination brought what I thought would be a really long journey to an abrupt end, but they did really well in the race. A little sad to see them go, but I wasn't a huge fan. I will just miss laughing at their funny one-liners now.
