Didn't know where to put this but the CBS website has the Bransens with an "X" on their picture already.

Where is the hot air balloon? If indeed this fits the story line, it probably would be early in the morning (6A) as this is the time of day most hotair balloons fly (stiller air).
Welcome sarahbea {| ! You can really help us out with this one ..I look at the vidcaps and the landscape is all the same to me {l{.
Ottopart !! LOL, those CBS Webmonkeys are giving it away ^/^ ! The Branens probably are next , we have the betting spoiler and the 4 hot blonde & family spotted ..sounds like the Bransens are out ..thats why we thought they were history last night with either the Paolo's or Wevers as the " family" and all that resentment towards the Weavers is a good sign that they got alot farther than the other teams thought they deserved to ..

The Toronto sighting was very much fun. We had tickets to cruise on the Kajama for 11:30. People are supposed to be checked in a half hour before sailing time. As we were walking along Lakeshore/ Queen's Quay at the intersection of Rees road a SUV stopped for the red light and a woman asked "where are the tall ships?" She had an Amazing Race clue folder in her hand. We told her it was up one block and to the right. We wished her good luck.
We ran to try and catch up to them. They were coming back around the power generating station at Harbourfront. My fiancee exclaimed "My god, they are racing with kids." They dropped part of their route info and another person picked it up and asked if they needed it. They said they didn't and had a new clue. I again yelled out good luck and the woman said "Look, it's our friend from before."

Pit Start - Lake Powell
Drive yourselves to Monument Valley, Utah. Once there search John Ford's Point for your next clue.
But actually we had it pretty well laid out before the spoiler showed up. Just didn't have the campout or is that trailerout on the night of July 24 at Green River State Park. And that it was a two-day leg.
..someones asleep at the button or they know theres no show next Tuesday and dont give a rats ass about us
But Bart is dead so what's up with that?
IMPORTANT: You may not run or yell at anytime while on this property!!!!Should we DQ them now or just wait for the episode to air? {l{
At Green River State Park:
Once you get to Green River State Park find group site 1 and park in the marked parking area.
Additional instructions on hooking up your trailers will be available on site.
According to the 'ditional information the choppers have to wait 20 min and if another team arrives then two from that team will be allowed on the chopper. So it should be Linzen plus G's. And then Weasels. And then Bransen.
Do we know which detour choice the Linz team makes?
From the notes I would take the bikes due to the longer safety lecture for the rappel. Six miles, largely downhill, should only take 24 min. While the rappel is first part: 5+5+5+5 then 2nd part 4+4+4+4. So that's 51 min for rappel and 29 min for bikes.
Take a number and choose two members of your team to ride in the helicopter.
Up to two teams may ride on the helicopter at the same time.
There will be a short safety briefing before the helicopter takes off.
Any team member riding in the helicopter must empty their pockets and leave their belongings witht he two team members not going up in the helicopter.
The first departure of the helicopter will be 20 minutes from the arrival of the first team
I guess that's the problem.QuoteTake a number and choose two members of your team to ride in the helicopter.

Once you have chosen a Rigger they will give you a safety and technical briefing that will last approximately 15 minutes.
Your rigger will then lead you to the first available line.
Your rigger has the final word on any technical or safety issues that may arise.
One team per line. Only one team member will be allowed on a line at a time.
The 2-Minute rule applies to this event (ETA: I have no idea what this means!!!)
Once you reach the base of the rappel follow the marked path to your next clue.
Additonal Info:
To access the top of Gemini Bridges you must use highway 313.
When you arrive at your destination, you must park your car in the marked parking lot.
Once you have parked, empty all your pockets, leave your bags in your car and leave your doors UNLOCKED and the keys in the driver's seat.
Take one of the provided shuttles to the top of Gemini Bridges
Edited one more time, sorry, my protractor is broken. Really, it is.Chateau ((^ I am so sorry , LOL ^/^
Two times the instructions say for the team members "to empty your pockets" before starting a task. I wonder why? We had to do that any time we headed out on patrol during my army days - just in case you weren't coming back.((^ Your too funny Gman , and leave you car unlocked with the keys on the seat ..does someone move the cars to a different location?
dumb question, could the weavers be sitting there looking glum because they were yielded? they're watching the other team jump?
Now we need a picture of Chateau using her protractor :)* j/k .
Chateau's a MAN bb ??? I always assumed you were a female ,so sorry
Chateau , Pedaler replied @ sucks to your This girl is only 7 and a half water bottles tall.
QuoteChateau , Pedaler replied @ sucks to your This girl is only 7 and a half water bottles tall.
Oh, Puddin. I was just having some fun >*& As you know, Chateau is the grand wizard of TAR detectives.
It's also kind of funny in another way. When I started reading the internet boards back in season five, Chateau's TWOP screen name first led me to believe that he was a she. |( But his posts were clearly written from a male perspective.
Now for your screen name, Puddin. I don't care if you are old or young, tall or short, blonde or brunette, slender or hefty, white or black, or anywhere in between. But, if you're a guy, I'll **** in my shorts. :cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky:
Now back to the topic.
Puddin, quick, I need a picture of Sharon with a water bottle.
I have a plan.
You are talking about the Linzes sitting on the bench at the ski resort?
This is why I was pushing for those time differences. If they were furthur apart, it would have helped to confirm this. :':')
If the Weasels did get to the Ski Jump first, I just cannot imagine that they would NOT Yield the Linzes. Especially with all the )< that has been promoted between the two families.
Chateau's TWOP screen name first led me to believe that he was a she.
I can't check this out (no sound out of my computer), but over at Sucks (http://p085.ezboard.com/fsurvivorsucksfrm23.showMessage?topicID=6103.topic) a poster claims that Mama Weaver said on CBS Insider videos that the Yield was only 15 min.
That's what we have to sort out.
I arranged it this way because the B's show up doing the RB so much after the Linzes. But that could be due to an even later departure.
I will try to make another version with the Linzes playing sandwatchers.
The only viable yield scenarios are (in no particular order):
1) G's yield Weasels* (if G's get early departure and get to Yield first)
2) Weasels yield B's
3) Weasels yield Linz
4) Weasels yield G's (editing story does not support this)
*One good limb shadow off the Globes of Godlewski at the jump could reslove this.
Pedaler, I forgot to ask: Did you figure out my hint that went like:
M
E
N
D
O
Z
A
I'm working on the Shanghai Yield to verify what Rebecca said.
Phil mentioned at last week's pit stop that the Linzes were almost (but not quite) winners again.
So , do you think that the confessional is more foreshadowing of the Linzes winning only one leg (the last) in the entire race?
any old Grizzly will doThat's an interesting point. The bear in the promo does seem slender (as grizzlies go). Here is a picture labeled "Bart and Honeybump" (I think they mean Little Bart) from a German website (http://www.zdf.de/ZDFde/inhalt/6/0,1872,2137126,00.html) that also has videos of LB and other bears frolicking with Jennifer Aniston, Robert Redford and others. Could the producers have substituted Honeybump or some other bear?
It looks like that picture of sad Megan by the trailer may not be when they get their morning departure times. I think Green River Park is actually green. This shot is kind of arid. The look she has could be from having mechanical trouble with the trailer(like a flat tire). And so they have to stop and lose their lead.
Both the G's and the B's detour shots seem to be after 1 pm. That's when the sun lines up with Gemini Bridges eastern face. It's kind of overcast but there is a hint that sun is coming from an azimuth beyond the one it had at 1:00 pm. For the Linzes, they are rappelling before 1 pm because we see the light on the eastern face of the bridge.
So I suspect that the Linzes do get a good morning departure time but are delayed on the way to Bart's place. This allows the Weasels (also with the good departure time) to get to the Yield first.
And they yield the Linzes.
And in the latest round of captures we have this shot. Now it's showing some shadows I can see. I don't know why the earlier version did not show them. But here they are! And it is major bad news for the Godlewskis.
Major.
This shot was taken between 4:00 and 4:16 pm.

The thing about that picture is that really don't know which team is on the rope. Since the person looks looks they have on a shirt with long white sleeves and the staffer is wearing all black we know it is not a Godlewski after all.
I should go back and amend it to that effect.
You have to use some common sence it goes a long way.

No secrets. I just thought that was what we decided from the context.
Lets re-check.
I can't do it right now.

..no one is hired here , no one gets paid ..if anything we should be thankfull that members are here to share and help out to the best of their knowledge. I know of no other forum that spends this much time deciphering times , vidcaps etc. .. with that I want to thank those that give up their own time up and say how much you all are appreciated :thankyou:

Is it possible to learn anything from the rope coils? In some caps I see 3 "stations" (maybe a 4th hidden by the rocks), and in other caps you see less.
I hope this is the last time I have to juggle these times.

Chateau did you ever get a time on the Bransens rapelling or did I miss it ?

That was nice having sort of a vacation these past two weeks thanks to our friendly cafe waitress who supplied the full details of Ep 9. The real question is: is this for real? But it seems to read well, and pulls together much of the info we sleuths had come up with before the complete scenario was made available to us.
The one fact that we did not have was the overnight stay at Green River State Park, and that it is here that the teams had to hitch up a camper/trailer to their SUV. This clarified some of the over lapping times we (I mean Chateau) had come up with.
And we did learn some interesting behind the scenes facts: like teams are instructed in some cases to leave their backpacks and personal belongings (and the car keys!) in the SUV. And it seems that production crew persons then drive the SUV to the next location.
We see that this must have happened on the Lake Powel Houseboat overnight pit stop. The teams arrive without their packs but we see at least the Linz boys with the back packs when they come ashore again at the pier at Antalope Point. (Or is this landing somewhere else?)
The Godlysisters arrived first at the pit stop and the Linz were just about 5 minutes or less behind them. The Weasels look to be about 10 minutes later and the Bransens are bringing up the rear perhaps 30 minutes behind.
So on the morning of July 24 the Godlies leave first. And it looks like it is another non-traditional sleep over since the teams seem to have arrived shortly after noon on July23. So if it were a traditional 12-hour layover, they would be leaving in the early morning hours in the dark. But this does not seem to be, so it must have been another 18 hour pit stop. Thus if they arrived around 1PM, they would be leaving at about 7:00AM
The Linzziblings arrived shortly after the G's, so the time that Chateau has for them at the pier between 7:30 and 8:00 seems to ring true. If the teams take the same outboards back to the pier that they arrived on the Godlies will have opened up a greater lead over the Linzziblings.
Now the Weasels come third followed by the Bransens. The Bransens start off at least 30 minutes behind, and maybe more and are shown to trail all day long.
So we have the three lead teams on the road together with not much time seperating them. And they have a 130 mile race to John Ford's Point in Monument Valley, Utah. Without delays this should be about a two-hour run. But who doesn't follow the map correctly? At the helicopter landing on Elephant Butte we have the Linz by themselves and the Weasels with the Godlysisters together. The CBS preview has the Linz ziblings shown first and then the other two. Is this a little CBS misdirection? Based on what comes later, I believe it is.
The Godlysisters have always done well with the map reading, and the Weasels have surprised the Linz ziblings and passed them somewhere on the road to arrive at just about the same time as the Godlies. The Linz crew is just a little behind, but first there is a twently minuted briefing, then the flight, then the time on the Elephant Butte, then after the return of the first two teams, another 20-minuite wait for the Linz team. No idea how long the flight is nor how long the time on the butte is, but this just adds to the time that the Linz are now falling behind.
From here it is a 174 mile drive to the Gemini Bridges near Moab, Utah. Without any major settlement nor traffic signals to slow them down, this should be around 3.5 hours (remember to stop for gas along the way somewhere and perhaps a potty break)
At the Detour on top of Gemini Bridge, the Weasels again have picked up time (don't ask me how, but they probably have at last learned which direction is North and East on the map!). We have the Weasels taking the mountian bikes down the trail (6 miles) which Chateau has estimated to be around 11:19 to 12:30. And as a side note, this seems that the "easier" task is the quicker task. In the past, this has not been true with the more physical being the shorter task.)
The Linz zibs and Godlysisers are shown on the rappel at about 12:30 to 1:00PM. Trouble with the Hummvee shuttle?
The Bransens are shown arriving way late (they never could figure out where they were on the map and in country that looks the same everywhere you look they probably really did get lost.) But Chateau estimates them to do the rappeling about 4:00PM. Somewhere they have lost almost 3.5 hours at this point.
Finally, the teams drive another 51 miles to Green River State Park. Here they have to find a trailer with a departure time on it. It looks like the Weasels get here first and get to hitch up their camper/trailer before the others. I'm guessing that the Linz arrive second, the Godlies third and bringing up the rear the Bransens.
The next day, July 25 the teams are off again. Lets assume that the first departure is around 7:00AM and the teams must drive 169 miles to Heber City and find Bart. This should be a drive of only 3 hours (but remember they now are pulling trailer/campers - no easy feat especially if you have never done it before!!) so it may be longer and the teams actually left around 6:30AM
The Weasels seem to be first (but we do have a scene of the Linz zibs passing them, but is this before or after Heber City? The teams will be driving on US Routes 6, 191, and 40 which I believe should be four lane highways so they could pass along this route) So it may be that the Linz zibs did arrive at Bart's before the Weasels who Chateau has down for between 10:05 and 10:45AM.
After grabbing the route clue (BLUE which we see Ma Weasel have in her hand) from the jaws of a "friendly" bear, they must drive another 25 miles to Park City and the Utah Olympic Park ski jump.
Now we have the YIELD. The question is to be or not to be - who yields whom? If the Weasels are first they will probably yield the Linz zibs. So on the ski jump we seem to have the Weasels going first between 10:40 and 11:20, then the Linz zibs between 11:35 and 12:10, then the Godlysisters at 12:51 and then the Bransens some time later.
Now we race to Salt Lake City a distance of only 26 miles on Interstate 80. Perhaps this is where the Linz girl and boys catch up and pass the Weasels. They seem to be in very high spirits at this point and seem to be gloating. So perhaps the Yield did not delay them that much and now they have a chance to pass the ones who Yielded them. According to some the route into Salt Lake City is down a steep hill, and then they have to maneuver around city streets with their camper in tow. No easy job and I can just see the Weasels panicing by now.
So the final pitstop is at the Salt Lake City Library. Who arrives first and gets that Travelocity trip? My guess is the Linz zibs or the Weasels. Let's say that the Weasels win this one, and the Linz ziblings still will be the only team to win the jackpot without winning a single freebie on the way in.
I say the Godlysisters come in third. And bringing up the rear, which they have been doing lately are once again the Bransens to become the first team in TAR history to be Philmagted twice.
And we are pretty sure that this is another NEL since there has been no advance notice on either CBS Morning Show or TES that we would have the latest castoff going through an awkward interview on Wednesday morning.
Now anyone else have any good ideas?
and a great face one of??
Nice Chateau |#' and I posted the TAR9 news in the other thread ..
now big question Chateau can you help us out ? ..have you changed your mind as to who comes in last tonight ? its for a game that we play ..I picked the Bransens or is it the Godlewskis or someone else with the Weavers first place?

And yes, they do have lunch. Weavers and Linzs have fast food drinks. Lunch must have been given to them (would you stop for lunch on the way to a pitstop?)I'd stop if that meant throwing some food at the Weasels :gotcha:
But if indeed the trailers are picked up after the Gemini Bridge events, and the Linz zibs catch up and pass the Weasels, does this mean that the Linz get to Green River Valley Park FIRST? And then leave first for Bart's place on the next morning?????
I think the pic of Megan could be the fact that it is HOT out there. There are a lot of times where just a random face shot can look bad even though its not really. They are in the desert in July. Moab gets really hot and so does Salt Lake for that matter.

anyway I was thinking that if the Promo for EP1210 comes up early of starting a seperate thread just for the vidcaps cause the pages take to long to load then we can bring them over or whatever , thats how we use to do it anyway ..sounds good ?
I finally figured out what is in the background.
Heber City's Doug and Lynne Seus and their trained grizzly, Tank, star of such movies as "Dr. Dolittle 2."I thought they may have switched bears, but I never bothered looking at the Seus roster, so maybe Tank (http://www.vitalground.org/ambassadors/tank_the_bear.html) it is.

Chateau, I know you did the best you could, but maybe that new protracter of yours let you down! In the past you certainly have been right on.
Some other strange observations:
The Godly ones had, and I quote Phil, "a mutual production error involving camera equipment, the Godlewskies' car battery was drained. A replacement vehicle was provided, but they have fallen into last place." Camera equipment drained the car battery? Very strange since as far as we know they did not stop between Elephant Butte and Gemini Bridges, but while they drove the car battery was drained? And to complicate matters further, note this. When the leave Lake Powell and Ford's Point they are driving a black SUV, when they arrive late after a car switch at Gemini Bridges they are driving a black SUV, when they arrive at Green River Park they are driving a black SUV. BUT the next morning when they leave Green River for the 20 mile (sic!) drive to Heber City they are now driving a Silver SUV. Another car switch we are not told about? Did they drain the battery once again during the overnight sleep over?
How in the world did the Weasels manage to get on route 92 when they left Heber City? According to my small map they would have had to drive west and south on route 189 to reach 92 while the map clearly shows that the best route is north on route 40/189.
From what I can deduce, and please correct me, Chateau, if I am way off, the Linz ziblings arrive on top of the Library at about 1:00PM MDT, the sun looks almost directly overhead with it shining on the top of Phil's head and very small shadows showing dirctly under the players. The Bransens and Godly ones seem to arrive shortly thereafter since the shadows and sun seem to be nearly the same as that for the Linz zibs. But when the Weasels finally arrive the sun now is shining on the back of Phil's head and the shadows seem failrly long, so I am guessing that they arrive about 3 or 4 hours after the others.
From the preview I am guessing again that this pitstop is a normal 12-hour one and the first teams will be leaving between 1 and 2 in the morning with the Weasels leaving between 3 and 4AM. But from the preview we do see all the teams hanging around driniking coffee and the lights on the buildings are still on, so I guess they have all arrived at the starting point for the Balloon Ride and are undergoing a typical TAR Bunchup letting the Weasels to catch up once again. Darn.
