TVgasm EXCLUSIVE - Survivor, Big Brother and Now Amazing Race All Stars
While we all eagerly await B-Side's recap of last night's Amazing Race, TVgasm has credible confirmation that the eleventh season of The Amazing Race, which begins shooting next month, will be an ALL STAR edition. So far the only teams who are credibly confirmed to return are Collin and Christy and Mirna and Schmirna. There have been a few seasons worth of speculation as to when TAR would bring in the ALL STAR element. Rumors circulated in July that the folks at Bruckheimer were checking availability of previous racers for Oct/Nov, but now TVgasm has learned contracts have been signed and racers will return for the eleventh season, which begins shooting next month.
I'm with Puddin on the Charla love -- my daughter has the same form of dwarfism as Charla and was born the same summer that season aired, so that was very cool for us.Oh I bets your daughter is just adorable mwooden ! I'm not a dwarf but I never hit 5' tall ..been stuck at 4'11 since I was 13yrs old and if I had to live my life all over again I would not wish to be any taller than I am ..petite is sweet and us short people have to stick together :hugs:
Although I would have loved to see Charla paired with a competent partner -- I could say the same for Sarah this time around. Sarah/Charla - now THAT would be a team.
Bring on All-Stars!

Reply All-Stars info from Chip & Kim
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From: web.mac.com/mcallpl/iWeb/...18972.html
Kim: I don't think I ever got a phone call from anybody. (for All-Stars)
--
Chip: There IS DEFINITELY gonna be an Amazing Race all-stars. They will be starting within the next few days. And Kim & I never got a phone call from anyone.
--
Chip talks about being "hurt" that the people of CBS did not even 'remember' them and consider them for ALL-STARS, which he emphasizes that is already confirmed to be made.
--
Kim suggests that there should have been a poll for the fans to choose the teams they want to be on All-Stars. She also mentions that TAR-ALL STARS will be starting in a week or two. Kim also doesn't know who they have chosen.
--
Both now said that there are a few people they know. They know about half of them but do not want to 'release' the names.
--
They know who are not gonna be in All-Stars and they are:
-BJ & Tyler (YES YES YES!! WOHOOO)
-Jonathan & Victoria (duh)
-Rob & Brennan
--
Lol. Poor Chip.. He seems really upset. Ohh well.
Wait... If they're starting in a few days, does that mean NONE of those who would be blogging on CBS would be on the race?
Can we send out our stalker troops like RIGHT NOW?
IGN TV: So where do you two stand on the oft-debated topic of doing an Amazing Race: All-Stars edition? Do you think it would be a fun thing to do?
Keoghan: I don't know. I think if the fans really want it, then they should get what they want. Because there's such a freshness to the teams going out to places they've never been before, and they don't know what it's like to be in television and to be on television, they're sort of naïve in a way that makes for really exciting content. And sometimes when I've seen these shows were people have come back, [and] they tend to be much more affected. They get a sense of how they look on TV, so then they alter their behavior a little bit. I'd hate to see that happen. But I don't know. I'm open to it.
Doganieri: I think it would be good if we brought back teams from the very beginning; the first couple seasons, who haven't been around it for awhile. I think we've progressively made it a little harder, the challenges, and a little more interesting. So we would make it really, really tough for them. And there is certain teams that I'd like to see come back; it's not always the first or second place teams. There's a lot of good teams that got eliminated first or second round that would be really good.
Keoghan: Absolutely. We have lost some really good teams early. Avi and Joe from Season 6, the Jews in Iceland.
Doganieri: Charla and Mirna… There's a lot of good teams that aren't first, second or third in the winnings.
Keoghan: The two guys that were in season 7; the hillbillies. They would have been great.
Doganieri: They were funny and smart. Nobody even knew this but one of them spoke like three languages. And the guy drives around on his ranch, you know? He lives way down in the South, drives around on a tractor… Really smart guys. Good sense of humors.
Phil (far left) prepares the teams at the start of The Amazing Race 10
IGN TV: So do you do those sort of fantasy picks, imagining if you did do All-Stars who you might put on it?
Doganieri: I have done my own little poll from some of the TARCon people, asking them who they would like. I've got that list on my desk. I did my own poll. But there's a few of our favorites, for sure.
Keoghan: There's definitely people that fans keep mentioning, over and over and over.
Doganieri: And some they definitely don't want back. I won't mention those…But you all know who they are.
IGN TV: I think I know who they all are, but I wonder if some of those are the ones I'd want back.
Doganieri: I think we're all in agreement on the same people.
IGN TV: I think we're all in agreement on some people, that's for sure.
[Doganieri at this point had to leave with her husband (and Amazing Race executive producer) Bertram van Munster]
Keoghan: Some teams that want to come back, the ones that voice their interest in coming back the most, are the ones that we don't want. It's interesting, right?
IGN TV: It is interesting. I don't know how you feel about this team, but I feel like on an All-Stars season, you should definitely have Colin and Christie [from season 5].
Keoghan: Well he would have to be the most competitive person, the most driven person, in my opinion, that we've ever had.
IGN TV: I agree, but I know he's one of those people that splits the fans so much.
Keoghan: But he's great to watch! I agree with you.
IGN TV: Yeah, I know he split the audience as far as if they liked him or not, but I think they were always interested in what he was doing. So would you have them on All-Stars?
Keoghan: I like him. I liked them as TV. It's not going to be up to me, but I did like them for TV. I thought they were great.

Teams were asked from every season.
1. Do you know which teams from your season were asked?
----I know of two
2. If a team was asked and accepted, do you know how they went about eliminating two members of the team? I mean, for you it would be easy, but for, say, the Linzes or Godlewskis it would be more difficult to decide which two would race, yes?
----No, TPTB said which two they wanted
Re: ♥ ♥ ♥ Wally's Thead ♥ ♥ ♥I don't know if that is good news or bad news...

Good to hear from you guys - just have been a little busy lately. And i've been thinking that if I disappear for a while I can start some all-star speculation for myself.

There were some major All Star sightings at the Cinncinnatti airport. I was driving to the grocery store and I heard about this on at least three radio stations, one of which named at least one team. The station said there was a definitive sighting of The Guidos. I'm not gonna lie, the airport is twenty minutes out of the way and I went there and stood around for a while. Unfortunately I saw nothing at all.
I know that it will never happen, but I would love to see Kelly and Jon again. I really, really liked them. They were good racers and they fought enough to be entertaining, but not enough to make me hate them.
Andrew:
So here's my off topic question for any alumni on here...if you had to race in an all star season with a different racer from any season, who would you choose and why?
Does anyone know when the official list will be out for the teams?
Hell how are they even going to keep it hush hush before they even get off the ground?

For all fans out there...I just wanted to make a note and thank Rosie O'Donnell.
Rosie had Mary and Dave on "The View" yesterday and gave them a digital camera, a MAC, three or four separate vacation trips, an SUV....drum roll....and a brand new 3-bedroom house to be built on the lot where their house trailer now sits!!!!
She told them to give their trailer to anyone they knew in need because that's "the way you are," AND told the audience that when she invited them before the show for a free trip for their family on Rosie's cruise that Mary asked if the Cho Bros could come, too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With more people like that...maybe this nation would actually be compassionate and loving to everyone!
Have a great weekend.
Chip
PS Where are Chip and Kim? And we never hear from Tyler? Can you say All Stars...mmmm

34. "Kevin/Drew in TAR All stars"
I have a TAR all star spoiler. My wife's friend is a neighbor of Kevin from Kevin/Drew fame and tells me that Kevin is doing TAR-all star.
Although I know this type of info usually is greeted with much skepticism, since neither my wife nor her friend are TAR fans and it took several weeks just to get the name of the TAR neighbor, I believe it is probably true.
( someone fill in the blanks, my brain stopped at Romber)

This is from a credible source:"Look out for a Colorado start." I find it interesting since this where last season both began and ended. But then again TAR does have a history of returning to the same areas. They do alot of scouting for future locations during each race
Oh i have an idea ...brb
If the information that geezergirl has is correct and the race did leave from Colorado we can assume they went to the Denver International Airport. I checked all international flights that departed today - and excluding the Canadian destinations the flights were as follows:
Cancun - 7am & 10:45am departure
Mazathlan- 9am departure
San Jose Del Cabo - 10am departure
Mexico City - 1:40pm departure
London - 11:41am, 6:45pm departure
Amsterdam - 12:38pm departure
Frankfurt - 5:35pm departure
i wonder if they are in the south right now. there's bad weather going on down there near Atlanta and Florida panhandleI"ll say! I'm drowned! :diver:

Andrews Top 12- Amazing Race All Star Picks...
Current mood: satisfied
Team Season
12. Dustin and Kandace-10
11. Lori and Dave-9
10. Jon Vito and Jill-3
9. Rob and Amber-7
8. Uchenna and Joyce-7
7. Tian and Jaree-6
6. Jon and Kris-5
5. Charla and Husband-5
4. Colin and Christie-5
3. Danny and Oswald- 2
2. Kevin and Drew-1
1. Bill and Joe-1
Chip and Kim are acting like they're cast by not blogging on there site or CBS.com with me...but they're just being drama. Imagine that...Chip self promoting? Nooooooooo. Oh man...I just threw up a little in my mouth.
Race ll begins today (Thursday the 16th). Good Luck Guys
Finally - I am back up and running - I updated my email address and then I guess I was trapped in spam filter :flameout: at leat I can post again!!
I am hoping with the first spoiler that it is comfirmed that the :furious: ROMBER will not return to ruin another season of TAR!!
Rob with that little boy smile and twinkle in his eye
why does everyone say that?
They were a "ratings stunt" that CBS pushed on TAR - do you really think that they would have been cast any other way - Amber is pretty much usless - she just follows along with everything Rob tells her to do - not a single brain cell or thought of her own.
how could romber ruin a season?
I want real team (Kevin & Drew, Momily, Blake & Paige, Cha, Cha, Cha, Dave & Lori, Ken & Gerard, etc.) - not these people out for another 15 minutes of fame or to promote something else they are trying to do.
they drew the best ratings as a team -
It might have been the best ratings but, as I said above - it was a stunt - and it didn't work. Only true fans keep coming back to watch the race every season.
ever.did you see CBS televise any other racers weddings???
Once again - another 15 minutes of fame to add on to their "careers" on TV - I certainly didn't watch it - nor have I ever seen a single survivor episode. If CBS loves them so much - they why don't they give them a show :( It's because it possibly wouldn't make it out of a pilot episode.
Television is all about ratings and you know they are going to plug in racers that draw bigger ratings. and after the last few ratings poor seasons they are going to go with what gets them the best draw.
Fame -whores - great...you must be rooting for Jonathug to be on there as well...maybe this time he will actually hit Victoria - to boost the ratings as well? I did not enjoy or like the ROMBER tactics - I thought the dececption was low & not what a quality show that TAR is was needed.
sorry love them or hate them they draw ratings - I just have nothing but HATE for ROMBER! TAR has too many quality teams that they could bring back instead of this evil duo!
freakyhh
Hmmmm... I work with one of the members of one of the "confirmed" teams above. I haven't seen him in a bit (we don't necessarily cross paths on a daily basis) but it's very common for people here to be onsite at a client's for long periods of time. I think I'll wander by and see what's up.
He is from season 1, on most people's wish-lists (probably only omitted from people who didn't watch season 1), made a cameo in the family edition, is from NYC, was on an all-male team... I think that pretty much gives it away, or at least lets you know he's one of a popular duo.
I was out with a friend tonight, and told her about the rumors of All Stars starting and my co-worker being AWOL. And she told me that another TAR alum works in her company - Jill of Jill and John Vito. Just recently, she went on a leave of absence and didn't give any explanation. Office scuttlebutt was that she was doing another reality show, like maybe Survivor (?) or the Bachelorette (?!?!), but now my friend wonders if maybe it's TAR All Stars.
Of course Jill and John Vito are broken up, but don't they seem like the type that would still remain friends? Or maybe she has another race partner.
Or maybe she IS the next Bachelorette!
BJ (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race10/shows/ep09/fans/rotr/) is acting up
Is it me or is BJ becoming annoying
January :tup:What do you know Gman?

They're currently here in Miami. So far the teams I've seen (that I recognize) are:
Rob & Amber (S7)
Joe & Bill ("Team Guido" from S1)
Charla & Mirna (S5)
I also think John Vito & Jill from S4 are also in it.
Looks like Andrew's list is coming to fruition after all (if this post is true).

I would have taken a picture if it wasn't for the fact that the picture quality of my camera phone sucks. That's all you guys are going to get from me, because I can't keep going back and forth through security to see these guys. It's a long walk.
I thought they were scheduled to leave at 3:05, but it turns out they were leaving at 3:50; so I got there too early to see all the teams. I saw 2 other teams, but I didn't recognize any of them, because I haven't followed every season (especially the last 2).
One team had a really cute blonde chick, but I couldn't distinguish who was on what team, because they were all in a mass jumble in at the American Airlines counter in concourse A.

Romber was done at the ticket counter about half an hour before Charla and Mirna. By the time Charla & Mirna left, 2 or 3 teams had caught up. Charla almost left her passport and ticket with the ticket agent. He had to call her back to get them.
They walked out of line and taped a segment right in front of me, where they talked about where they were going. That's how I knew they were going to Ecuador.
After they cut the cameras, C & M asked the camera guy & sound guy if they wanted to go to the bathroom since they had a long while to wait before the flight left (this was around noon today).
I was kind of disappointed. Everything moved so slow in real life. I was expecting to see a lot of running, but it was all so leisurely. It's so different without all the quick cuts, but I guess that's to be expected

At the gate, I only saw Romber and JVJ. I saw Charla & Mirna talking to the ticket agent getting their tickets, and cutting a bit for the camera just after they purchased them. There were two other teams and Team Guido after them. I think Team Guido was the last team in line, but again it was hard to tell, because they were in a big cluster including the 6 cameramen and sound guys assigned to them. All I know is some tall guy with kind of a big nose wearing something that looked (from a distance) like a straw cowboy hat was up at the counter talking to the agent.

I don't know if this will help, but Rob & Amber were wearing their matching Red Sox caps, and Team Guido were wearing their fleece jackets with "Team Guido" emblazoned on the back. So, if the players were instructed to dress similar to the way they dressed last time they were on the show, then the guy up at the counter COULD be Blake, but I can neither confirm nor deny.
Romber :hearts: :jumpy: :hearts: :jumpy: :luvu: :hrt: :love2: :ya3:
Romber was done at the ticket counter about half an hour before Charla and Mirna. By the time Charla & Mirna left, 2 or 3 teams had caught up. Charla almost left her passport and ticket with the ticket agent. He had to call her back to get them.
Romber live in florida now.. maybe that gave them an advantage in knowing highways and such?
Anyway I was checking realityremix for Lynn & Alex's TAR recap, like I do every Monday and they are not on..
http://www.realityremix.tv/video.php
Guys is all this info about teams being spotted in the airports 100% true? (not doubting you, Kogs, but the original poster saw the teams)
Also, I don't think Lyn/Alex are "All-Stars" material.

my guess is they had them log in today before they left to throw off people who check the myspace or will be checking in to throw off spoilers in a way.I don't think they will let the racers have an advantage by checking myspace ..if anything they are having family checking.

general question, on items they can bring. Can teams bring mp3 players. Because Damn all those flights ad waiting at airports, ect. would drive me crazy after a while. Plus it would help to drowned out annoying players.

I've been reading some of these threads and there seems to be some confusion on some people's part as to what I saw yesterday. Probably most of it due to my not paying attention and starting my own thread to post my info, so I figure I'll put everything I saw in one post and you can go ahead and speculate away from there.
About 11:30 yesterday I was in Miami International Airport. I was told by someone I know, that they saw the Amazing Race taking place at the American Airlines ticket counter in Concourse A. Being a huge fan of the show, I ran over and saw a bunch of people standing at the ticket counter with cameras and sound guys all around. They had a ticket counter roped off specifically for the racers and denoted by two small yellow & red flags. I immediately noticed Charla & Mirna up at the ticket counter. I stood around watching for about 15 minutes and saw Rob and Amber leaving and heading for their gate.
I left and came back at about 12:30. I saw Charla and Mirna still at the ticket counter, but I also saw three other teams at the ticket counter. They were all clustered together, but the only team that I could definitely identify was Team Guido and they seemed to be more at the back of the bunch. The other 2 teams appeared to be:
1. A (seemingly) tall guy in something that looked like a straw cowboy hat with kind of a big nose, he was more on the thin side and had either brown or dirty blond hair. He seemed to be partnered with a woman.
2. A slender, cute chick that had really blonde hair and seemed to be in her mid 20s wearing a pink shirt. She also seemed to be partnered with a woman.
I say the tall guy seemed to be tall, because I didn't stick around for a long time; so I don't know how tall the guys in Team Guido are but he was taller than them. I didn't see any non-white people at the counter.
Some background for those people trying to figure out who these people are - I only watched a few episodes of Season 9 and have maybe seen 1 episode of this season. The only people I could definitely pick out of a crowd from these seasons are BJ/Tyler, Erwin/Godwin, and Peter/Sarah (for obvious reasons). I didn't see seasons 3 and 5 at all, but I could still recognize Charla - again for obvious reasons. I didn't miss an episode of seasons 1, 2, 4, and 6-8 but the only people that would really stick out to me if I saw them are: Romber, Kevin/Drew (who I immediately recognized when they cameoed in S8), Team Guido (rooted very hard for them to lose S1), Tara/Wil (rooted very hard for Wil to win S2 just to spite Tara), Chuck/Millie (Wolfman!), Chris/Alex (one of them always reminded me of Shawn Cassidy), Chip/Reichen, Rebecca/Adam, Freddy/Kendra (so loathesome), Lori/Bolo (one of my all time favorite teams), Johathan/Vicotria (obvious reasons), Gus/Hera, and Uchenna/Joyce.
Out of all the teams I just mentioned, I only saw Romber, Charla/Mirna, and Team Guido, but remember I only saw 6 teams.
Charla and Mirna got out of line with their tickets and they cut a segment for the camera right next to me. They flubbed their lines the first time and got it right the second time. That's where I heard they were going to Ecuador. After the cameras turned off, C & M asked the camera guys if they wanted to go ahead and go to the bathroom since they had a few hours before the flight left. I checked the American Airlines departures and saw that a flight was leaving to Quito from Gate A7, which was in the direction that Rob & Amber were walking.
I, mistakenly, thought the time the plane was leaving was 3:05, but it turns out I went dyslexic and it was leaving at 3:50. I went over to A7 at about 2:10 thinking they were going to start boarding at that time, and hardly anybody was there. I saw the mistake I made on the time, and at that time there were only 2 teams there:
1. Rob and Amber
2. A tall, really muscular guy with black hair and a woman with blonde, wavy hair that looked pretty small next to him. I didn't recognize them at the time, but I came back and started looking through photos and I immediately recognized them as John Vito and Jill. Now, I could be wrong, but I'm 90% positive that it was them.
Rob and Amber were talking to a couple of people, but I don't think they were racers, because they shook hands and parted ways after a few minutes. Rob and Amber moved over and sat next to a guy that and started talking to him, he was white, older (maybe mid 40s), overweight, and IIRC had long, curly black hair. I don't know if he was just a fellow passenger to Ecuador, a racer, or production crew, but it seemed like Rob knew him. I briefly spoke to Rob, wished him luck and went on my way.
I could've gone back later and checked, but I didn't want to deal with airport security again and they were a long walk from where I was. So, that's all I can tell you. Carry on with the speculation. :-)

Oh the heartbreak if ROMER is on ... (:;) (:;) (:;) :'( :'( :groan: :groan: :furious: :crybabe: :flameout: - we just need pictures!! Oh I wish I knew someone who worked at American to look up the passenger lists for yesterday....
Kogs I think in some of the seasons, teams have checked at travel agents to see if other teams were on those flights. I know they have at airports.
Maybe I will go back a check a few episodes to find out.

Faves to rerun 'Race'
CBS to air 'All-Stars' skein in 2007
By JOSEF ADALIAN
Rob and Amber are expected to be among contestants on “The Amazing Race: All-Stars.”
CBS is giving "The Amazing Race" the all-star treatment.
Net Tuesday confirmed the upcoming 11th edition of the Emmy-winning reality skein, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Bertram van Munster, will feature cast members from previous cycles of the show. Production on "The Amazing Race: All-Stars" began last week in Miami and will premiere in first-quarter 2007.
"Race" becomes the third CBS unscripted skein to go all-star. "Survivor" began the trend a few years ago, while "Big Brother" followed suit last summer.
A CBS spokesman confirmed the all-star nature of the next "Race" but declined comment on which past cast members will return.
However, insiders said Rob and Amber -- who appeared on "Race" after appearing on two editions of "Survivor" -- will be given another shot at the top prize. Duo have wrapped lensing on their upcoming Fox Reality Channel skein, "Rob and Amber: Against the Odds," which debuts in January.
They are expected to square off against Joyce and Uchenna, their two chief opponents in season seven of "Race." Latter team narrowly won that edition.
Also lacing up again: David and Mary, the plain-spoken coalminer and his wife from Kentucky.
Not expected on the "All-Star" race: Jonathan and Victoria, the feuding couple whose antics landed them on a Dr. Phil primetime special. Chip and Kim, two of the most popular former "Race" cast members, won't appear either.
Most editions of the "Race" are expected to be represented on the all-star edition, save for the much-panned family edition.
Bruckheimer, van Munster, Jonathan Littman and Hayma Screech Washington are exec producers of "Race." Skein is produced by Bruckheimer TV and Earthview, in association with Touchstone TV and Amazing Race Prods.

It definitely worked for Survivor. It sort of worked for Big Brother. Now, The Amazing Race is getting in on the all-star act.
CBS has confirmed that the 11th edition of the round the world reality show will bring back some—though not all—of the series' biggest names, for The Amazing Race: All-Stars. And the excluded teams have had no qualms in expressing their outrage.
Perennial reality show also-ran Rob Mariano and former Survivor champ Amber Brkich have been tapped to return for yet another shot at unscripted glory, as has Amazing duo David and Mary Conley, aka Team Kentucky from the most recent edition of the Emmy-winning series.
Strongly rumored to be joining the foursome are season five faves, couple Colin Guinn and Christie Woods (that season's runners-up) and cousins Mirna Hindoyan and Charla Faddoul.
Generating far more reaction, however, is who has not been chosen to compete.
The perpetually bickering season six couple Jonathan Baker and Victoria Fuller, who landed their own Dr. Phil prime-time special such was the interest in their relationship, will not return, nor will season nine winners BJ Averell and Tyler MacNiven, or season five winners, married couple Chip and Kim McAllister, arguably one of the most popular teams from the series' 10 seasons.
At least to hear them tell it.
A video post to their joint MySpace blog last month, which was removed after less than a day, lashed out at Amazing Race producers for excluding them from the all-star installment.
"I don't want to sugarcoat this or anything, there is definitely going to be an Amazing Race: All-Stars, they will be starting within the next few days and Kim and I never got a phone call from anyone, not from [the executive producers], not from CBS, not from anyone," Chip said.
"We have run the gamut of emotions. I hate to be one of these kind of people that thinks he's entitled to be an All-Star—I may not actually, Kim and I may not be All-Stars material—but to be completely forgotten by CBS and the CBS decision makers...it really doesn't feel good. We could have been contacted."
While he may have got the sentiment right, his timeline was slightly off.
According to Variety, Amazing Race: All-Stars began filming just last week in Miami. But Chip and Kim weren't the only non-invitees to express their disappointment.
Season nine winners BJ and Tyler, who incidentally sent fan forums into a frenzy this spring when homoerotic photos of them with fellow Racers Jeremy Ryan and Eric Sanchez were leaked online, sounded off on their exclusion via CBS.com's Former Racers Blog, where the duo were meant to be offering commentary on the show's 10th season.
"What would be ironic is if someone were putting together an all-star version of the race and contacted teams like [season seven teams] Lynn & Alex and Brian & Greg, but did not contact us, the most popular and amazing team of all time, about it," Tyler wrote in a post last month.
"Trust me, if they were doing that, they would contact us," BJ added. "We were the most well-liked team ever to compete on the Race...I'm sure they wouldn't just pick a gimmicky team like Rob & Amber, or a 'competitive' team like Colin & Christie, and turn their backs on friendly winning teams like us and Chip & Kim, leaving us to find out about it from some gossip site."Right.
While no other competitors have yet been confirmed, most seasons are expected to be represented with the exception of the eighth, widely panned family edition.
The all-star race, to be once again hosted by Phil Keoghan, is expected to kick off early next year, ensuring "gimmicky" couple Rob and Amber will be unavoidable in reality TV land. The twosome will appear in their own Newlywed-type show, dubbed Rob and Amber: Against the Odds, on the Fox Reality Channel in January.

If Dustin and Kandice are on the race, they will be the only all-female team there.I'm out of the loop here. Did one of Charla and Mirna get a sex change?

As to whom they pick….I have no clue how it is done…as I know some very popular teams that were not picked (John and Al), winners (uhhh…Reichen and Chip) not picked…LOL….and some very, very unpopular teams that were picked…can’t say who, but just think of the most argumentative and vindictive team and they are on it.
Chip A has posted in the CBS racer's blog today:QuoteAs to whom they pick….I have no clue how it is done…as I know some very popular teams that were not picked (John and Al), winners (uhhh…Reichen and Chip) not picked…LOL….and some very, very unpopular teams that were picked…can’t say who, but just think of the most argumentative and vindictive team and they are on it.

I doubt that Chip is referring to the teams that you mention because they are both on his extended wishlist.Chip A has posted in the CBS racer's blog today:QuoteAs to whom they pick….I have no clue how it is done…as I know some very popular teams that were not picked (John and Al), winners (uhhh…Reichen and Chip) not picked…LOL….and some very, very unpopular teams that were picked…can’t say who, but just think of the most argumentative and vindictive team and they are on it.

I beg to differ with Chip. The All-star race isn't about who's popular. It's about the balance of the cast. You can't have all popular teams in the race. You'll have a situation where you don't know who to root for! The producers will want a mix of popular teams, controversial teams and sacrificial lambs, and rightly so.
And speaking of popularity, it is a subjective term. I think that Chip may be referring to teams like Romber and Colin/Christie. But actually, they were my favorites in their seasons. I didn't quite like Chip's team in his season though. :)
 I read something about a Linz boy playing the flute and drilling holes in Miami ! This person claims to have pictures but nothing yet :lol3: !
I refuse to belive any spoiler regarding anyone from the family race
none of them belong on the race. they wouldnt stand a chance
against R/A or C/C or a good solid team
sorry just my opinion

On another note I guess Christie was spotted on the 26th at Miss Teen USA(link over at Sucks)
and looks pregnant. I was so hoping Colin and Christie would be on. They are my favorite bad guys.
im happy that tyler is walking in iran but im not happy if gay jeremy and eric is in this game
Hi to all. I'm doing a trip through South America and I'm now in Ushuaia, Argentina (southern most city in the world).(http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p147/ushuaiasighter/P1040869.jpg)
About an hour ago Bill and Joe (Team Guido) entered an internet cafe/calling center (locutorio) with a cameraman and a soundman. They wanted to call a few airlines (Aerolinas Argentinas and South African Airlines). I guess they are heading to South Africa then. I said Hi to them but they didn't answered. The cameraman looked pissed because I took a few pictures. I asked him if it was TAR all-star but he said nothing. When they got out I said good luck guys and Bill smiled. End of the story. I don't have any more information about any other teams. I will try to look around town tonight to see if I can spot another team or two.
Sorry for the quality of the pictures. I was in a rush and the cameraman was intimidating!
who is on the phone in that booth? emily, tian, or a local?
the guy who posted the pics made it clear a minute ago
that she was local
only team guido was in the buildingwho is on the phone in that booth? emily, tian, or a local?

I happened to be at the airport Ushuaia and who do I see booking tickets to south africa? None other than Kami and Karli and Millie and Chuck. Sorry i have no pics, I didn't expect to see the amazing race come here.

Antarctica 2 day one night trips for $2300 per person by charter flight...But this flight?QuoteThis Charter flight does not include clothing.:wiggle:
Now that could be interesting!
LOL Sups
I do not believe mercedes's spoiler :grins: * raise the BS flag *
I have two opinions on the pictures
1. the guidos are in first place and ahead of everyone else
or
2. they are in last and fighting to catch back up
my reasons
the picture taker is a TAR fan (admitted) and knows teams
he stated he was going to stick around the area and look for more teams
and report back. if he doesnt have more to report in the next day
then 1. or 2. is correct
hopefully he post's more pictures of teams he spots :jumpy:
i really hope the guidos arent lagging behind again like the last leg in season 1

They're not necessarily way ahead or behind -- they're at an Internet cafe, not the airport. The other teams might not go to the cafe.

Hi, me again. A few more informations:
The locutario where the pics were taken was at the corner of 25 de Mayo and San Martin in Ushuaia. It was taken at about 19h15 Ushuaia time (17h15 NYC). The sunset here is at about 22h15.
The girl is definetly not Emily. Sorry guys. It was just a Fern.
It still takes a long time to get to Antarctica from Ushuaia, by boat at least (a few days). So if they went to Antartica, it was by small planes.
I spent the last 2 days around town and haven't seen anybody else. I also went to most of the landmarks in Ushuaia yesterday evening to try to find a pitstop, detour or roadblock, without sucess. And Ushuaia is not a big town, so I guess they just stopped in town to call. The others might have gone straight to the airport. Bill and Joe probably arrived by bus because the buses around here drop you at the corner of Maipu and 25 de Mayo. The locutario they were in would be the first you see after being dropped from a bus. So I guess the pitstop was eather in the Tierra del Fuego Natl Park, or maybe at Estancia Harberton (the biggest and oldest estancia in Tierra del Fuego, typical TAR pitstop).
I think they already had their plane tickets out of Ushuaia to probably Buenos Aires. It's a pain to get out of Ushuaia by eather plane or bus these days. You have to book way in advance. So it would be impossible for 8-9 teams + crew to just hop on a plane. So I guess the tickets were handed to them, with 2 or 3 departing times.
I was thinking about going to the airport but in a way didn't want to be a stalker. The crew was definitly aware I took pictures and that I was listening. They would have known I was there to spoil it all and I probably would have had some problems with them.
Finally, the guidos didn't look like they were in a really good mood. They had their serious face. It doesn't really indicate anything but they might have been at the middle or the back of the pack
Yep, but there are three Rapipagos (http://www.rapipago.com.ar/fast_locate.asp) alone in Ushuaia -- not to mention other internet cafes (http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:U5X1JReUUjkJ:www.transitionsabroad.com/publications/magazine/0405/travel_to_tierra_del_fuego.shtml+ushuaia+internet+cafes&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=6) and travel agents (http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:xi16fCE1S7kJ:www.bootsnall.com/articles/01-03/ushuaia-argentina-general-info.html+ushuaia+travel+agents&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=3)... teams could have spread out pretty far. ;)
And did I just get called grasshopper? :o

Let's say that they arrived at the Ushuaia airport by way of chartered flights from Antartica (that having been the Pit Stop). The Guidos then hop on a bus-to-town at the airport to gather info while they wait for takeoff. They could have picked up the fern at the airport. The fern told them about the internet cafe.the question is WHERE is South Africa!!
It's just hypothetical. :jam:
One of us could have hopped a flight from JFK to South Africa and beat them!
This is when it would cool to be rich. :snicker:i'm game if you are ready and paying, i have my moles in the middle east on the lookout. still need to get some down in austrelia and new zealnd
I would just dispatch one RFF detective to each major airport. "Your tickets are electronic, just checkin and remember to bring a digital camera, extra batteries and your USB cable." The flights would be round trip unless you determine the next city...
extremely disappointed with no colin and christie (:;)
OMG - me and Godsmack actually agree on a team!! :jumpy: :waves: ..I am very dissapointed to learn that they will not be racing since I believe they would have yielded ROMBER and got them knocked out early!! (Yes - just dreaming and ROMBER disliking)extremely disappointed with no colin and christie (:;)

everyone seems to have sources ..what the hell?

First off let's get to who we know. My sources tell me that five teams were spotted in a Miami airport heading for South America. Those five teams are Joe and Bill (Team Guido TAR 1), John Vito and Jill (TAR 3), Charla and Mirna (TAR 5), and of course Rob and Amber (TAR 7). There was also another male/female team but there was no definite confirmation on their identity. According to another source the mysterious fifth team is none other than Jon and Kris, one of my all time favorite teams. It is unknown if this group was in the lead pack or if they were in the back. Since most seasons of TAR start off in the states, I would bet that Miami is the first leg of the race.
looks like jon/kris are in it. the site i posted a few pages back with events at his club, had a few and hes in none of them. i read on another site that jon and kris were spoted in miami at the airportthis site?

So, do we think this interview was taped prior to TARAS, or was it on the road and they just made them look good to hide the racers from us?
Here’s my analysis of the posts (from on here, TARflies, and sucks) regarding who the racers on All Stars are. I could be completely wrong.
teams spotted in Miami:
Bill and Joe (TAR1)
John Vito and Jill (TAR3)
Charla and Mirna (TAR5)
Rob and Amber (TAR7)
Additional teams listed as confirmed on TARflies:
Kevin and Drew (TAR1)
Teri and Ian (TAR3)
Dustin and Kandice (TAR10)
David and Mary (TAR10)
The inclusion of Kris and Jon (TAR6) makes 5 teams NOT on Chip’s original list, with 3 teams left (1 each from TAR2, TAR4, and TAR9).
The team from TAR4 is believed to be Tian and Jaree (who are on Chip's list).
TAR2: 2 teams on Chip’s list –
Shola and Doyin (who are listed as appearing at the West Coast finale party)
Blake and Paige
TAR9: 2 teams on Chip’s list –
BJ and Tyler (BJ appearing at finale party, Tyler running across Iran)
Eric and Jeremy
If Uchenna and Joyce (who are on Chip’s list) are racing, then it would mean (using the assumption of 12 teams, with at least 1 team from each season except for the family edition) that one of Kevin/Drew, Teri/Ian and David/Mary is not racing. This would support the post on sucks suggesting that Oswald and Danny are racing (rather than Blake and Paige).
This leaves (if U&J are not racing):
Bill and Joe
Kevin and Drew
Blake and Paige
Teri and Ian
John Vito and Jill
Tian and Jaree
Charla and Mirna
Kris and Jon
Rob and Amber
Eric and Jeremy
Dustin and Kandice
David and Mary
Another loose end:
If you bring up the Dade permit site that Kogs found, follow the dialog pages as if you were applying for a permit and enter the name "rt technologies" when asked, you get the name of
Robin Tedesco (also spelled Robyn) as a contact. Since there's no related business with that name, it's probably just a little humor on their part.

Some spoiler for All Stars.
Some spoiler for All Stars.A guy posted something about having prior knowledge of a couple of stages in Malaysia, and was apparently going to follow the racers.
:cmas18 I just can't believe how spoiled TAR10 was and we are hardly getting anything for TARAS :cmas13 I agree reading through all the SUCKS pages gets really irriating.
Yeah, they are very confrontational over their.
Here we just give pity for Puddin likeing BJ & Tyler and Rob and Amber and move on :meow:.
But seriously most of the talk on this board even when we talk about why we like teams or don't like teams, or who we want on theh show and who we don't is handled in a much more adut manner.
Now if everyone would just admit I am always right, we could move on. :snicker:
Chip wrote one pair of winners in rotr ...I think it was in the ep 11 or 10 blog. And yeah I'm pretty certain this is Uchenna & Joyce.
I think Joseph is messing with the lurkers who read his myspace.. all those TAR9ers are up to no good :cmas27
Now they say on that asshat place that Joni is doing a cameo :rotf: :lol3:

Jackie
Seriously this team better be on. I need at least one of my favorite two teams to make it.
Eric & Jeremy.Jackie
Seriously this team better be on. I need at least one of my favorite two teams to make it.
What is the other one? :cmas29
I'm so glad John Vito and Jill are in it. It'll be great to see Kris/Jon again as well. :jam:
I wish Dave/Lori and Hayden/Aaron were in TARAS as well.
And for the real spoiler or speculation for today.
Will we get any sort of preview or announcement concerning next season being an All star season in tonights episode?
No, there's no way we will.
Last season when we got one for TAR10 or when it was 8 for 9...whichever they were already done making the season. I highly doubt that there concerned abouta promo when there in _________ filming a roadblock or w/e.
Lake and Michelle??? You mean Kelly and Jon!yup I was wrong :mas25

Izad (http://p085.ezboard.com/fsurvivorsucksfrm23.showMessage?topicID=7459.topic) finally speaks
12/10Quote5 teams passed through Malaysia..... 4 were seen and documented
He/she said Charla & Mirna, Oswald & Danny, BQ's, And Eric & Danielle.
THoughts.
I Love Charla hated Mirna, but for half a season they raced very well.
Oswald & Danny very surprised and one of my favorte of all time teams, but not a racing team. Lacks a lot of drive that otehr teams had. I figured tehm to be 2cd or 3rd team out.
BQ's, Not really surprised. I would still rather see them get to final three then any other female team (based on ability, Linda & Karen on personality).
Eric & Danielle.. Sorry but I love Eric. Part of my favorite team. But I am still very upset about a hybrid team. The only positive about this hybrid at least is that Danielle was part of very poor performing team. ANd it isn't say Eric and Colin, or some insane team like that.
BQ's
from what I 'heard' - an African American couple who got delayed on their flight.
Those are the orders that they came in. Charla and Mirna got a huge lead. :) The other three teams came in close within each other.
There five teams in this leg because I'm a good listener.
again, since I did not personally see the fifth team, I'm going to take it with a grain of salt..
from what I 'heard' - an African American couple who got delayed on their flight.
with the fifth team, it's not an eye-witness account like the other four, so I can't confirm if what I heard was true.. so y'all can still speculate. :)
From rumors would be Uchenna & Joyce
And Jackie Trust me, I am praying for Kris and Jon in this seasona s well.
Crys a tear for Romber but an happy about the teams spotted :cmas9

mswoods I agree. I would be very surprised if Jon and Kris didn't make it considering they were well liked on the seasonThey were probably eliminated like Romber ,,guess we better suck it up.

:cmas16 :cmas16 Thanks for all you do puddin. Good night and I'll surely be back sooner rather than later.Don't be a stranger :cmas17 !!
YAYYYY FOR DUSTIN & KANDICE!!! I really hope that they become the first female team to actually WIN.
Are we sure that these are the final 4/5 teams? The timing seems right for it to be... but it just seems like the most random assortment of the "ultimate" all-stars!! Oh well, it should make for excitement!!
The one time I try and use the net to find the locationand its already been found.Well knowing it was Mallaysia made it easy, lol. I searched temple stairs numbers ..
NO wonder Eric looks rather tired and not running like usual 272 steps up and down. Equal being very tired.
..good spoiler but nothing beats the Paris pictures or Isabela's video imo
Just to answer one of the questions above, I strongly believe this was at the beginning of the leg, so if the fifth team came in late, they might still have had time to catch up (especially if this was a non-elimination round, who knows).
And bear in mind, the info that I have on the fifth team is still really anyone's guess since there are no photographic evidence and I didn't actually see them there.
Thanks, puddin :cmas27nop they are for real x kicks
I know this may sound like a stupid question, but could these teams be decoy racers?
Just curious Godsmack why are you convinced that their is a 6 team? Is it becasue you want another team in the mix, or just a gut feeling.Just something I heard From a Friend while in LA.so call it what you will
Have they actually started racing? I know someone who supposedly was contacted to 'help with the production team', that they will be in Malaysia this weekend. Should I start camping out at the airport?
I'm still a little iffy about this info though.. Does anyone know when/if the race has actually started? it wouldn't make sense for them to start flying into Malaysia if it's still early in the show, would it?
More info from my intel.. they will be in Malaysia from the 9th to 12th December. I'm trying to find out where exactly the roadblocks/detours will be so I can have more than one chance of getting their pictures.
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I totally agree w/ you!!! :yess:BQ's
:jumpy: :jumpy: :jumpy: :jumpy: yay for the best all female team evah!!!!!!! :cmas9
Many of the places you listed they can't go too...Papua New Guinea, Israel, Mali, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone are too dangerous and now recently Fiji also with the military coup.
Also I guess your Canadian because Americans aren't allowed to go into Cuba and vice versa, because of the whole communism/dictatorship they haven't been able to go to Cuba since the 1960's.

HONG KONG NEXT SIGHTING
I have received information that Oswald and Danny and Dustin and Kandice have been spotted in Hong Kong. There was no mention of any other teams.
Yesterday, David Conley's stepmother, Mattie Conley, said the couple left Nov. 15 to film the all-star edition. However, she said that no one in the Conley family knows where David and Mary are or how they are fairing in the latest competition.
Mattie Conley said that the couple are only allowed to contact the person with whom their three children are staying while they are away. She said that although the kids stayed with her and their grandfather during David and Mary's original stint on the Amazing Race, they are now staying with Mary's sister while they are filming the all-star edition. When they call to check on the children, Mattie Conley said David and Mary are only allowed to say that they are doing well. They cannot disclose their location nor can they say whether or not they are still competing in the race.
Mattie Conley said David and Mary are expected to be back home before Christmas.
When they call to check on the children,Sprint :cmas11 ? since when do the racers get to phone home? Nov 15th ..wasn't that the initial start date with some delay? or were the teams merely sequestered for 5 days just as the TAR9 teams confirmed...? we know the race started on the 20th? Anyway good article..I can't believe that they gave out so much info.

Hey guys- I just thought of something that has been bugging me that just doesn't make sense. Last week I saw Phil on Rachel Ray's talk show. The show wasn't pretaped- how was Phil in the US between December 4-8th if he's supposed to be the host of allstars?

Was Phil around to promote the finale of TAR10? I do not remember hearing that he was going to be on the usual shows.

I thought you couldnt go to Cuba directly from USA, no US flights can go to Cuba, however i thought you can go from connecting, like you could fly to London, and then go to Cuba.
Papua New Guinea i believe was in a interview with Phil as a place he would like to visit. this interview was from right after AR7.
Tel Aviv and Jereuslam Isreal i think are pretty safe, i know of tons of people that go to Isreal, i know someonw who went on a Honeymoon there, and got married, the race spending what 2 days there wouldnt be too dangerious.
And to be honest now a days what country is really "safe" to travel too? USA has had what 4 plain hyjackings in one day, never heard of it anywhere else since, London bombings, and Spain bombings the race still goes to those places.
Fiji i still think is safe even with the coup. Survivor finished filming there [even with the coup going on] they didnt ship out. Real World also deff. went to Fiji a few years ago.
It doesnt really matter though. I kind of just want them to go to Ireland, and Croatia the most! They prolly wont though those places are better suited for good weather not almost winter weather.
Thanks for the timeline mwooden umm errr " Grasshopper "
x-kicks I think the photos were taken this past weekend? or?

Izad, so who arrived first, the Chas or the BQs?
Oh, and do you know anything that would give credit to the Hong Kong sighting?
izad (http://p085.ezboard.com/fsurvivorsucksfrm23.showMessageRange?topicID=7459.topic&start=481&stop=490)
In order of arrival at the route marker:
Charla/Mirna
(2 hour gap)
The Chas
(10 minutes gap)
The BQs
(30 minutes gap)
Eric/Danielle.
and no, on the Hong Kong sighting
eta: izad (http://p085.ezboard.com/fsurvivorsucksfrm23.showMessageRange?topicID=7459.topic&start=461&stop=480)
Colby's right. The date on the other camera wasn't set properly.
The Chas arrived at exactly 10:00am which means they were pretty close with the BQs.
Though Charla/Mirna has a huge 2 hour lead, don't go nuts yet and discount the possibility of them having an equalizer after this route marke (as mentioned by TVIS).

Could it be that Dustin and Kandice and Oswald and Danny are in Hong Kong as SEQUESTERVILLE? That would mean that Charla and Mirna and Eric and Danielle and the unnamed 5th team are the final three.
Just supposing since TARAS seems to be going to all new places this time around.
Besides the all that the Hong Kong rumor is not true.
Some friends of mine are Peace Corps vols in Mozambique and claim that the race came through Maputo sometime between Thanksgiving and December 7. One of the destinations was the old Portuguese fort (pictured here: http://tabisite.com/gallery_af/mozambique/91af265.jpg). Unfortunately they didn't have any other details. This does seem consistent with the spoilers that teams were on their way to South Africa, as Maputo is usually reached through Joburg.
If Romber was eliminated it was because they wanted to be :hand: :cmas12
I'm so happy with the 4 teams that izad spoiled that I can't complain! Best final 4 EVAH!! I won't "whoot" for :jumpy:
I hope the Mozambique spoiler pans out..it looks like a place (http://www.travel-images.com/mozambique3.html) the race would go.I wasn't a huge fan of 7, like almost the entire cast except for bottom feeder Ray, suck it up Deana.
mswood, season 5 and 7 were my favs :)
When do people think CBS will officially release the teams for TAR All-Stars? The show starts in February. Does CBS wait until January or announce information in the next few days?
I could see CBS trying to keep the teams a secret until the premiere of TAR - All Stars. Generate a little more buzz and speculation. :cmas23
I wonder how Jeremy/Dani feel not being on.
Well I am not so sure. If hte show starts very late February tehn I expect a cast press release really no more then 4 weeks in advance if any that much.
Do we normally get a list more then a month in advance. And actual previews normally about two weeks before the typical starting date are rather common.
I wonder how Jeremy/Dani feel not being on.
and how do we know that they are not? now that would be entertainment, them racing against each other. but my guess is that cbs couldn't allow that as they would work together too much?

its a all star season, nfl playoffs coming up. for ass they released the cast on 3 days during tes the week of the divistional round. for a superbowl premair. it all makes scense
A general-purpose filming permit is not required... location filming in public places does not require a general-purpose filming permit

I gotcher spoilers! Spoilers here! Hot off the plane!
My sister called me this morning (just before 9:00 Hawai'ii time). She's a flight attendant on Air Micronesia and said that a "bunch" of TAR All-Stars teams were on her flight from Guam to Honolulu. She was calling me from the plane, which had just landed.
She's not quite as rabid a TAR fan as I am, so she's not sure about all the teams, but here's what I know so far. She's coming over later on to look at the CBS web site for each season to see if she recognizes anybody else.
Based on what she told me and what I'd heard before, I think these are the second (later) group of sequestered teams.
On the flight:
Guidos (to whom she served drinks, as in alcohol, which she thought was strange when they were racing but then agreed when I said I thought they'd already been eliminated and were on their way to the finish line)
Uchenna/Joyce - Joyce was sitting up/not trying to sleep as she might be expected to do if they were still racing and she needed to get as much sleep as possible during down times. My sister asked Uchenna if there was anything she could do for him, and he in turn asked her if there was anything he could do for her like "give her an autograph." She somehow had the occasion to mention this to what she said was another team:
Ryan and Peter - I have no idea who this was. Kathy (sister) thinks is was a team but her description of them didn't sound familiar to me (tall/thin/blond + shorter/blondish). They said they'd been flying for a month and weren't supposed to acknowledge anything (like Uchenna had done when he'd offered an autograph, although obviously my sister knew who he was)
Allison and her boyfriend - I knew this couldn't really be Allison (Big Brother and TAR), so I got a description and I think it's Eric and Dani.
Danny/Oswald
Kevin and Drew, she THINKS
No female-only teams
Miscellaneous:
The flight was delayed, and nobody seemed upset about it.
They'd stayed at Anderson Air Force Base on Guam - had gotten in the previous morning and left the following day. I think they were probably on their way from Sequesterville location #2 somewhere in Asia, but that's just speculation.
No Rob/Amber or Teri/Ian or Dave/Mary on the flight as far as my sister could tell.
Does this mean that Mirna/Charla and the Beauty Queens are in the top 3? Who would be the 3rd team? Maybe one team was missed at the sighting in Malaysia because of a fast forward or something?
Prays this is JVJ not Eric & Pinky!!
"Allison and her boyfriend - I knew this couldn't really be Allison (Big Brother and TAR), so I got a description and I think it's Eric and Dani. "
Prays this is JVJ not Eric & Pinky!!
"Allison and her boyfriend - I knew this couldn't really be Allison (Big Brother and TAR), so I got a description and I think it's Eric and Dani. "
:faints: !!
Maybe All Stars will be like the first season without a fighting couple!!
I think Eric and Danielle are way to laid back to fight with each other. Maybe if they are on JVJ fight, i could also see Rob and Amber fighting if they fall behind, they admit in south Africa they werent even talking to one another on that leg. My prediction is Rob and Amber do get yielded, and then just crumble making mistake after mistake after mistake.
I wonder how Jeremy/Dani feel not being on. It would have been fun to see Eric/Danielle face off against Dani/Jeremy [i think]. The more i think of the final five the more i love it, i love me some Dustin and Kandice, i watched AR2 yesterday OD were so funny!, i loved the double dees [I still believe they would have slipped through to the final three had there been no yield]
However with these five teams, where is the drama, the excitment, i think they will all get along. I deffinally see the blondes getting along with Oswlad and danny. I think everyone will HATE Mirna, and then Mirna will be the villain.
I wonder how Jeremy/Dani feel not being on.
and how do we know that they are not? now that would be entertainment, them racing against each other. but my guess is that cbs couldn't allow that as they would work together too much?
I know for a fact someone on Sucks was contacting Dani, where she was tight lipped obout All Stars, but she wasnt on it if they were contacting threw email. Personally i liked Dani/JEremy ALOT better, but Danielle is good enough. I want the Double Dees from New Yawk back!!
Could be Romber and maybe David & Mary are doing the decoys? they have faces people would recognize.
I asked Kathy if the "Allison" team was JVJ, and she didn't think it was. Her description of the teams makes me think it wasn't Kris/Jon, either (she said the woman was blonde and the guy was dark, but not tall like John Vito), so that's why I think it was Eric/Danielle. I'll post more after she comes over here and eyeballs the team photos.
I could also be the rumor I heard
was correct! and if it is we dont know the lead team
I heard that IZAD's pics were correct BUT the teams werent
1 2 3 and 4 on a later plane
i heard those teams were 2 3 4
and team 1 was a fast forward
or had an ealier flight due to a lead from a fast forwardCould be Romber and maybe David & Mary are doing the decoys? they have faces people would recognize.
I looks like this flight is loser flight for teams 4 through 8. I'm extremely disappointed to see Danny and Oswald on the loser flight.

Well I'm not getting my hopes up,lol .
I always felt that Uchenna & Joyce was the one set of " winners" on Chips list and am glad they are out, *sacasm*
Hi! That spoiler is from me (really my sister). I've since learned that it's Danielle, not Dani. (I knew which one was with Eric in terms of what she looks like; I just got mixed up about which was called Dani.) I think my sister is getting some sleep right now, but she's planning to come over later on, so I hope I'll have more info then.
One of the previous season's racers has since PM'd me and said that on their season, there were two flights of eliminated teams from sequesterville to the final city, so she agreed that this is almost certainly one of them.

But can you imagine if the producers set whoever the final three are on a plane back to the US with the other teams.
Normally the teams are held as a final group until all have cleared customs into the US (this and the first leg are typically the only places this ocurs). Again I don't think the producers would o this or even think about it. But it would be a brillant way of confincing us about the wrong final three.
One that wouldn't require any extra money spent.
But I still want Eric & Danielle in the final 3.
I just want to put this out there. I thought 4th place never goes to Sequester, maybe UJ were not the 5th team, Oswald and Danny get eliminated in 5th place, the "Alison" girls is Kris and Jon, but there are still 4 teams racing, the three we know and that still mystery team.
We now do NOT think that Eric/Danielle were on the plane - which could very well mean that the F3 = Eric/Danielle, Dustin/Kandice, and Mirna/Charla.
On Sucks htey have said the race can be 27 daysWell if the race stated on the 20th of November then obviously its 27 days ..its not rocket science :cmaslol
I couldn't sleep the day of the maylasia spoilers, is that crazy or what?OMG my heart was racing! all pumped up that Tyler & James won then izad's pictures of the 4 teams the same night! I will probably sleep though the Survivor 13 snorefest after last Sundays excitement.
HELL YEAH !! :jumpy:DOUBLE HELL YEAH.QuoteWe now do NOT think that Eric/Danielle were on the plane - which could very well mean that the F3 = Eric/Danielle, Dustin/Kandice, and Mirna/Charla.
Kris & Jon logged on to their myspaces a few days ago ( I haven't checked back ) but they very well could have had someone log on for them..check Eric's last login, I think it was after theI just want to put this out there. I thought 4th place never goes to Sequester, maybe UJ were not the 5th team, Oswald and Danny get eliminated in 5th place, the "Alison" girls is Kris and Jon, but there are still 4 teams racing, the three we know and that still mystery team.
How do you know that it's Kris and Jon?
And last Sunday was about the best Amazing Race day ever.Yeah That!! :nut:
The flight (http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/apps/travel/flightstatus/results.aspx?SID=CC4CA39F63D14D938713EB9CD9B1BD00&FLN=904&FLD=12/15/2006), fwiw. :plane:awesome Slowhatch! thank you !
Kat told all the racers what a big fan her sister (me) is and that I'd just gotten back from NY, so now I'm probably on everybody's **** list
Kris shows that she logged in Dec 14th as well as Jon.

I am sure where we are with a list of teams for TAR-AS (this thread is currently on p29). However, I was just channel surfing and saw a show on E! featuring Victoria Fuller. Her friends (Playmates) were throwing her a baby shower! The original air-date of the show was 1 Oct 06, so I doubt that Victoria and her husband are on TAR-AS.gator check page 1of this thread ! the only thing that needs updating is Babalu's sisters sighting and we can check Ucheena & Joyce 100%.
Your a meanie Chateau :D ! But i'm willing to hunt !
Happy Eric & Pinky MAY be top three
:jumpy: !

still unsure on Kris/Jon Tian/Jaree I think?
Thanks Peach! She is equally awsome as well. She is or was on top of a TAR game I used to play at TWoP. I stopped playing because it was too hard to stay at the front of the pack. We went together to grill Bama on some questions. But I wish I had been more prepared for that. Peach seems to have mined quite a lot of info from them.:groan: :knuckles: How am I suppose to know who DoubleTee is?
Sorry to say Puddin, my pix did not turn out. I only got two where you can see who it is. Check p. 34 of TWoP's TARconX thread. There was one posted by DoubleTee with me. Happy hunting! :mas25
Here you go kogs! Go to the 13th photo--on the left...
TARcon photo link (http://www.kodakgallery.com/Slideshow.jsp?Uc=199nzxp3.9eed01tn&Uy=mraofo&Upost_signin=Slideshow.jsp%3Fmode%3Dfromshare&Ux=0&mode=fromshare&conn_speed=1)
I think the TARcon page# is really page 30, not 34.
Now we need a picture of peach!!
Hi guys.. sorry if my spoilers were 'too much' for you guys. I know the Survivor All Star spoiler totally ruined the season for me personally, hopefully this won't do the same to you.
and i wasn't bull****ting about the 'eavesdropping' business. I'm a big fan of the show, and was just trying to share what I know with fellow fans on the boards ;)

Regarding the "fake names" used on the flight:
My guess is that the teams have to show their passports, so the airline has the correct name but that the producers arrange to have the tickets issued under an alias so that anyone checking a passenger list wouldn't know that teams were on it.
One possibly interesting detail from my sister is that one of the mysterious Ryan/Peter (I forget which one) ordered a vegetarian meal. At first, the flight crew couldn't find it, but then my sister asked Ryan/Peter, "Was it under the name of Sevy/Seby?" (something like that - she said the name was hand-written and she couldn't tell), and he looked at her all shocked-like and said "yes." Whoever it was ended up eating the meal with shrimp, so don't go by vegetarianism as your clue, but if that name means anything to anyone, that might be another hint. She still says he looked really familiar - tall, thin, glasses, maybe smart/quiet, slightly nerdy. And she doesn't think it was Ian from Survivor 'cause I asked.
"Was it under the name of Sevy/Seby?"
We do know teams are given (or make up) fake travellig names.
In season Nine we get the first mention of this when Jeremy says they should have booked taxi's with their fake anmes.
Were the camera guys intimidating? The guy from Argentina seemed to think so! I'll bet they were NOT happy to see you--although I've been a little surprised that there haven't been even more sightings given the higher profile of some of the teams this season. And eavesdropping is in all the best Detective traditions!
Is it okay to pick your brain a little bit? I know you said they came from Poland--did you hear of any more ideas about where/what they were doing there?
Andof course we'd love to know any more you can share.... Since Uchenna/Joyce have been confirmed on the Guam flight, can you say now that they were the 5th team?

TAR All-Stars just made a stop on the U.S. Territory of Guam in the western Pacific. US Air Force officials confirmed that crews were indeed filming on Anderson Air Force Base, which is situated at the northern tip of the island.
Nice save Kogs!!
Maybe you have to reinstall GE?

Guam — Current local time: 4:13 PM on Monday, December 18
According to http://www.google.com
Maybe later you can tell us how you managed all that! But you may have done too good of a job...now we think you should be able to tell us every detail of the legs before and after too--heeee....!
Was there any info about the teams and the filming in the local news there? Or since that is such a busy tourist area did the camera crews just blend in?
And do you want to speculate on where you would have sent teams for a Roadblock? I thought maybe they would have done some climbing in Dark Cave but guess not...
You gave us a tiem frame when teams got their. But do you have any idea on how the teams faired on the stairs.
Any idea if sayD & K did the event fastest or slowest, ect for any of the teams or how long the teams were their doing it as a general estimate?
You said Charla & Mirna had a big lead, did they managed to complete it in roughly the same elngth of time? Did it take them longer.
Hi - me again!
My sister didn't recognize any of the other teams' photos, so our best guess (and it's only a guess, but many of you have surmised the same) =
There were only 3 teams on the flight, and the rest of the TAR folks were production staff/crew.
Those 3 teams are the Guidos (6th place), Uchenna/Joyce (5th place), and the Chas (4th place).
Those 3 teams may not have been at Sequesterville - or may have been at a different, shorter-term Sequesterville from the earlier eliminees.
The top 3 are Mirna/Charla, the BQs, and Eric/Danielle.
Thanks guys. And let's hope we get some more info from Guam! (and what a wicked subnic! Thanks)Maybe later you can tell us how you managed all that! But you may have done too good of a job...now we think you should be able to tell us every detail of the legs before and after too--heeee....!

Thanks.. as for the details of the legs, I might be able to post some extra stuff but not any time soon. It's not a case of "i know something that you guys dont *neener*", but there are reasons I can't tell right now. We're all fans of the show and I cant wait to share it with you guys but hope you guys will understand.
I heard one of the crew members bitching that some info about them filming TAR was leaked to one of the papers somewhere, but I didn't get which paper (nor if it's true). However, nobody actually cared about the camera crew being there.. until they see people running towards the cluebox (which they put up only about 5 minutes before the teams got there).. people got extra curious most noticably when Charla/Mirna and the BQs were there - possibly because people recognize them the most.
I thought they were going to do some task at the Caves as well, but they were only there to get to the cluebox. They then went off to a different part of town in taxis. You gave us a tiem frame when teams got their. But do you have any idea on how the teams faired on the stairs.

You said Charla & Mirna had a big lead, did they managed to complete it in roughly the same elngth of time? Did it take them longer.
All of the teams took about 10 minutes to go up and down the stairs. No one did exceptionally well, or bad - because even though the steps were not steep, they were definitely NOT wide.. and I guess every teams were just being extra careful going up and down the stairs. (I actually witnessed a little girl stumbled down a couple of steps, but thankfully she was okay). That said, I must say that you can't help but be impressed with Charla if (when) you see her climb those stairs. She had her huge backpack on, and come on.. it's just harder for her than a normal heighted person. ;) But yeah, most of them got in and out of that place within the same approximate amount of time.. I think the Chas stumbled with the BQs as they were heading out (and the BQs coming in).

Besides being the home of B-52, B-1 and B-2 squadrons, AAFB includes the best secluded beach on the island. Also on the island are the caves in which Japanese soldiers hid after the war. One such veteran was discovered living in a cave almost 30 years after the war officially ended.

No Jeremy specifically said they should have used their "fake" names.
Not they should have used fake names.
As for teams using discriptions that's the way you have to go, to many teams have taken or tried to take cabs by saying yes thats me, when the cab has asked are you John Doe.
I belieive the fact anames are used in things like the hotel stays before the race begins, and things like that.
Otherwise it would be much easier to findout in advance who is who when you are waiting for the race to start.
AS for actually once the race starts, yeah they use their real names for travelling because well thats really required now days with travel restrictions and security.
We could start a fresh thread? but this one seems to be working out because all the spoiler info is in this thread and I've been updating page one with solid info that has been passed around the spoiler boards. Whatever you all want, let me know. Do we really want it to end up like sucks with 3 separate threads, lol. When you think about it we are pretty lucky here to have topic header dedicated just to spoilers ..we can post what we want with no warnings and we are not like " HEY you are off topic!" , I think thats what makes this place unique...freedom.
One more thing..remember we tried the wiki thing once? Well does anyone thing we should try to it again? Then we all can update the links and add pictures ..? I'm sure Rob would create a wiki site for us if we asked. We have roughly 2 months to set it up..lots of down time and it will be something to keep us occupied.
Hey now!!
Amazing Race Visits Guam
PNC Staff Reporter 16.DEC.06
10:22am Look out for a Guam stop in next season’s “The Amazing Race”. Guam was paid a visit by competitors of that reality TV show.
Guam was apparently a stop, and competitors were on Andersen Air Force, being filmed. The Pacific News Center contacted Air Force Officials, who confirmed the film crew was on base, but could not comment any further.
http://tinyurl.com/yzpymy
Yeah so we have good confirmation. Glad we didn't calll the base afterall..why would they tell us anything :cmaslol?
Izad thank you for answering our questions :cmas17 Now my turn, did you see or touch any monkeys :monk3: ?
It seems like every start line they run to cars and drive to an airport, so right around Bal Harbour / Key Biscayne, they have easy access to the highway bound for the airport. I was kind of hoping it'd be harder for them - maybe navigating through Calle Ocho or other mostly Spanish speaking neighbourhood in Miami.
^
Puddin is thinking vil thoughts about you for that comment.
I can tell you that I'm already NOT looking forward to the episode where Rob & Amber get eliminated, i don't even know if I can watch, lol. :mas25
and Welcome to the forum apskip :hithere::MC: :HH: :HNY:
:cmas20 Thanks, Puddin. Can we deduce anything from the "ride-alongs," the non-competitors on the flight out of Guam? (btw, outbacksports.com is an apparel company, your link-outsports.com--is...something else ;D )oops! did I do that :cmaslol ? The evil inside me made me register and pm chevy for more info but I'm a newbie so we'll see if he/she replies :innocent:

If any of you are fans of the CBS hit reality show "The Amazing Race,"
you will be pleasantly surprised to know that GUAM will be one of the
featured stops in next season's show. For those of you who are not or
who have no clue as to what I'm talking about, I'll tell my groupie
story anyway.
Last Wednesday, we were given a heads-up by airport security that the
show was expected on-island, and although they weren't sure which
airline they were going to use they wanted to ensure there were no
issues with filming. Thursday came and went, and we didn't see anyone.
My co-worker Edgar and I met up with the producer and two cameramen on
Friday, and they told us that Phil (the host) was over at CO's counter
checking on for the flight to Nagoya/Honolulu. We chatted with the
staff and then, like a bunch of groupies, we went looking for Phil. We
ended up missing him. Edgar and I got separated somehow, but I bumped
into Joyce and Uchenna (the couple from Houston who won about two
seasons ago ) in the departure lobby. Joyce talked about having to
shave all of her hair in that one episode. It's growing back slowly,
and the short hairstyle looks good on her. I had a pretty long chat
with them and two other male winners (I don't recall their names, but
they said they were known as "the jerks" in their season). They were
all very nice and were only too happy to talk about their experiences on
the show. When I finally said goodbye and was making my way back to the
office, I met up with Uchenna again. He gave me a hug and a kiss and
told me to give my regards to John (I told them earlier that John was
also a huge fan of the show and that he is currently deployed to Iraq).
Ladies, he is definitely attractive and is quite the charmer!
Anyhow, that's part of the season's "surprise" (having previous winners
on the show). Virtually all of the footage was filmed up at Andersen
Air Force Base, although they will show some island scenes. The
cameramen we met said that one lady in a van drove up to them at the
base. She's a huge fan of the show, too, and pleaded with them to get
her picture taken with the clue box. They thought it was funny.
We were told that the contestants were going to leave the next afternoon
(Saturday) on our flight to Narita and then Honolulu. Luckily, these
were one-way normal tickets (the Airport Ticket Office is closed on
weekends), and it's a fairly easy process if a check-in agent has a
little bit of ticketing experience. One of our veteran Operations
supervisors (Glenn Weber) said that rookie Operations supervisor Hank
was going to be on duty that day. We nearly fell off our chairs
laughing. Turns out Glenn wanted to have fun with us and that he was
the one that was going to work that day. He later said that Saturday
was quite hectic, and there were some pretty demanding blonde
contestants. When they left the counter, the other contestants were
making fun of them. Glenn was the person who issued virtually all of
their tickets, so he's sure to be seen on national TV.
Anyhow, thanks for indulging me. Remember to look out for Northwest's
very own Glenn Weber and GUAM on the next season of "The Amazing Race!"
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your families!
Thanks Slowhatch :cmas0. I totally missed that post .
So they got the headsup on Dec 13th
Saw Ucheena & Joyce the Guidos and Dec 15th but missed Phil.
and then the demanding blonde's and other contestants on the 16th on flight to Narita and then Honolulu.
Great confirmation for the timeline.QuoteLiquidSapphire

Being Jonathan saw all three teams looks like they all arrived in the US together and Charla and Mirna's lead in Guam was gone.
9th: Rob and Amber [Dont know why but a pretty good team usually goes out third [Debbie and Bianca, Duke and Lauren, ect ect]

I speculate that Romber are victims of a Yield. :knuckles: I suspect that Romber will be the "villians" for this Race and the other Teams will be out to Philiminated them as early as possible. This strategy is not bad because Romber is a strong team, capable of winning.

I think we'll know mid-week next week for sure :yess: ( boy is this month dragging or what? )
If they are starting on Feb 18, then they might not have good ratings as it will be Chinese New Year. People would be busy watching lion dances. lol:lol: lol ChaoSPBunny! also its the Daytona 500 but I think it will be over or HOPE it will be over on time for the TAR premiere if FEB 18th is the date.

my guess is the 25th because of the survivor factor with the mother day finale for that. just all my spec but something to think about that they would either push it up 1 week to the 18th with a 6th finale or just make the finale on a diff day of the week. this is the fun of the speculations until cbs announces it

Since when does Puddin not speak gospel ???lol Gman! I can't say where the list came from but I would not have posted it if I thought it was fake ;). Time will tell...

A Feb 16 start would put it right in the middle of the Feb Sweeps and this would lead to a May 6 finish, the first Sunday oif the May Sweeps.
Unless, that is, they add a double length or a TBC leg in there which would put the end on May 13. But please no later or otherwise I will again miss the ending while whiling my time away in Prague or Vienna or Bratislava.
maybe you will. but im thinking they are on
I was sent a bootlist, pretty much what's already been speculated.
fwiw , not Gospel but we will see how it goes after the first few episodes.
Elimination order:
11th: John Vito & Jill
10th: Kevin & Drew
9th: Dave & Mary
8th: Rob & Amber
7th: Teri & Ian
6th: Bill & Joe
5th: Uchenna & Joyce
4th: Danny & Oswald
3rd: Charla & Mirna
2nd: Dustin & Kandice
Winners: Eric & Danielle
Well, there's always "La Mitad del Mundo," the equator monument just north of town in Nono (kmz attached). Then the racers could be given a translation clue, like the one given out at Miami in TAR7; they're told to find "El Fin del Mundo" and they have to figure out that it's Ushuaia.
I have some links saved too that i'll put up before I wipe my pc clean
Love that bootlist, you gonna keep it? :yess:

Stick it to your forehead, run around naked and shout WhooHoo :woohoo: ?
Guess what I'm gonna do with it now lolol :kuss: :kuss:
I will wait until the race starts to see what happens. To many spoilers are only sightings (which are cool)and one persons word nothing more
then everyone starts there own theories and passes them are until they are digested like gospel .I didn't even come close to posting the rumor's floating around
The AP circles in LA or London but i will say this much CBS wanted TAR all stars to be a well hidden race and they did largely increase the budget
to make this race special and harder to spoil they even convinced ex racer's and employees of differing stories . They learned alot from last season So remember this one statement I will leave you with "spook teams"
take it for what you will.
I'm out
I'm flying to Spain in 2hr's
to do a sports assignment :woohoo:

Thats strange being JVJ were on the first flight but anything can happen. If its true that sucks becuase they are so nice, really great people and dont deserve to go out first. That order looks great if only Danielle/Eric were switched with Jill/JohnVito. Its not really Eric it justs makes me sick Danielle beats Jill i guess there is that they are both Staten Island girls and Jill is so far superior it makes me sick.
Didnt JVJ's good friends Deniss and Erika go out first too, that sucks big time.
I mean All Stars just stink, stink, stink. I can only imagine how Road Rules All Stars will turn out now. It just doesnt look good for Veronica after how all other all stars turned out.

Hey guys, first post :js:
Puddin, do you think that the boot list that was sent to you is legit? I mean, is there any possibility that it isn't true?

Guess what I'm gonna do with it now lolol :kuss: :kuss:
viértame mucho :wine:
Welcome MikeD19
The person that shared it with me says its legit but like I said I don't know because all I have is this persons word which is good ( not from some newbie but someone that I know ). And its not like its Gospel or written in stone or something just take it for what its worth and we'll see how it goes.
Oh and have fun godsmack!! Gods speed
Stick it to your forehead, run around naked and shout WhooHoo :woohoo: ?

I took your advice and I froze my youknowwhat...It'snowing here :woohoo: viértame mucho :wine:
:'(
I'm not listening to :dancer: puddin any more lolol ..we had lots of snow twice in Nov and nothing in Dec that I can remember. The temps in the "snow belt" here have mostly been close to and above 50. Puddin picked a fine time to ask me to run around nekkid... :jumpy: :waves:
:rotf: big papi! that what you get for listening to her... :hugs: puddin you know i always listen to you, except when i don't :dancer:
i still hold out hope for a danny/oswald win, sigh. as long as the bqs and romber don't win, i'll be happy though. :meow:

Hi peach! Time for everyone to wake up :word: :hhello: I wouldn't wake up for the Survivor cast this morning but for TAR I'd do just about anything, so if I have to drag my butt out of bed at 7am on Tuesday morning then Hey Now !! :hearts:!
:jumpy: OMg THIS Tuesday!! and yeah I was right on the premiere date :yess:
THE EARLY SHOW will announce the cast for AMAZING RACE: ALL-STARS on Tuesday, Jan. 16 (7:00-9:00 AM, ET/PT). The 11th edition of the Emmy Award-winning series debuts on Sunday, Feb. 18 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

so if I have to drag my butt out of bed at 7am on Tuesday morning then Hey Now !! !
OK, so if it is only a one hour premier, and the speculation about JVJ being on the first flight, then maybe the boot list spoiler will be proven wrong right away, and I can regain hope that E/D do not win! :yess: :woohoo:
If I recall right, TAR10 was the only season with no Early Show promo because of the new Sunday schedule, which sucked because they always give away the first team out i.e. John & Scott TAR9 * pouts *...and also we have the TVGuide curse to look forward too...teams featured heavily always bite the dust first.
So Big Papi ( especially ) put on your pants its time to dance :dancer:
Heres some pictures, last to first is the order..
First out, slower plane: Seasons 1,2,3,4,5,6,10 (both teams)
First out, first plane: 7,9 (which were both two hour premieres)
So if JVJ go first, they would have to screw up pretty bad because no team on the first plane has ever gone out first in a one hour premiere (without the benefits of more first leg equalizers in a two hour premiere)
They had better put the site up on Tuesday :knuckles:

About 24 hr until the "announcement" of the teams, and CBS is not promoting this "announcement". What gives?
:jumpy: TES did a brief promo today for tomorrows TARAS Preview :yess:
...umm, they deliberately made the pix "out-of-focus", but I think I see Mirna... :rotf:
Boingo was that from tv or cbsnews.com ?
f we were CSI we could run the images through a sharpening filter and have crystal clear images.

 I already tried to photochop them, but you can't sharpen an out-of-focus pix...wait 24 hours. :groan:
i enhanced it a way to see some of them, not all. thats how i noticed eric and danielle and kevin and drew in the back
;D Here's my guess on who's who. I'm probably wrong, but we'll see tomorrow. ;)

Yes, but the eleven teams seen in that blurry picture were highly speculated on being the teams in TARAS, so it really isn't a surprise that the boot list matches up.
Why would JV be racing with Monica? That's idiotic. She's engaged to Joseph.
While no photos of the F3, IMO, a sibling giving the other sibling info that's not perfectly concrete but enough to make this call is just as good.
It's not Erika...for one shes still dating and is currently with Dennis, and she was at the Survivor finale and other stuff previous to that being the casting director for both shows.
http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2007-01-15-amazing-race_x.htm (http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2007-01-15-amazing-race_x.htm)
How did Race challenge contestants who knew the drill? "We had to throw them curveball after curveball, because they all thought they knew what we were doing again," Van Munster says. So the 45,000-mile, 28-day race, which ended Dec. 19, sent them "from extreme cold to extreme heat," a desert in northern Chile to "borderline South Pole" in Antarctica.
The Atacama Desert of Chile is a sparsely populated virtually rainless plateau, running from the Pacific Ocean to the Andes Mountains. The average width is less than 100 miles but it extends 600 miles south from the Peruvian border. The mountains nearest the ocean are the Pacific coastal range, with an average elevation of 2500 feet. The Cordillera Domeyko, a range of foothills of the Andes Mountains, lies east. The Atacama is made up of salt basins (salars) sand and lava flows. The landscape is so desolate it is sometimes described as "moon like". In fact the Atacama has been chosen as a good site to test the prototype of a future lunar rover.

THE AMAZING RACE: ALL-STARS reunites some of the most memorable, entertaining and controversial Teams from previous seasons and sets them on a new adventure of a lifetime. Traveling more than 45,000 miles, spanning 5 continents in 28 days, these Teams will pair up for one final trek around the globe as they battle the best of the best in a fierce race to the finish for their second attempt at the million dollar prize
:cmaslol working my way through South America. another fwiw: I don't know if this is posted anywhere or whatever but I read here (http://forums.survivor.com/amazing-race/788-amazing-race-11-all-stars.html)( don't know if its true?) that the race started on small Miami Bay island and I'm having a hell of a time trying to track it.If true, it could be Bay harbor islands (http://www.bayharborislands.org/webpage/Text/general.htm)?
"borderline South Pole" in AntarcticaI'm not sure what's meant by that. Argentina lumps Ushuaia (Tierra del Fuego), the offshore islands and the Antarctic station all into one province (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tierra_del_Fuego_Province_%28Argentina%29). Unless they arranged a government plane, there's only one commercial camp: ANI (here's their base in the Patriot Hills (http://www.adventure-network.com/subpage.asp?navid=2&id=9)), which is owned by ALE (here's a charter flight list (http://www.antarctic-logistics.com/flights0607.html) for 2006-2007). ANI/ALE only flies out of Punta Arenas, which is a little more confusing; maybe they didn't leave Ushuaia at all.
No No No ..CBS always has the same info in the glossary so don't go by that ..heres TAR10 (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race10/about/glossary/) and TAR9 (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race9/shows/ep11/race/glossary/) .....it only changed for TAR8 (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race8/show/glossary.shtml).

sowhere on north miami beach i think, my googleearth has these photos in them when i was searching the miami area
From the pics properties: "miami-from-fontainebleau" so going by memory this would be looking towards Miami from the Fontainebleau Hotel on A1A which I believe is Collins Avenue (I believe it turns into Golden Blvd a bit North of the hotel and Bal Harbour. The boats in the Intracoastal near the hotels are usually charter fishing boats (on the left.)
eta: Kogs, look at what I am sending your way from this morning: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y16/ollicat/DSC00350.jpg
Adams Key lies on the north side of swift-moving Caesar Creek. Once home to the famed Cocolobo Club, a retreat for people like Carl Fisher, Gar Wood, and Presidents Harding, Hoover, Johnson and Nixon, Adams Key is now a day-use area open from dawn until dusk. A short trail leads through the hardwood hammock, and a picnic pavilion and toilets are also available. There are also two park ranger families living on the island.
hey...im chris...im just a new member here...ive been a big fan of AR since season 4...anyway, ther's something odd about the new profile ofthe beauty queens on cbs.com, dustin's age on the AR10 profile was 26, but on the all-stars profile she's just 25...its so odd...it must be a typo or something..but they released it officialy..im just confused...i mean what is her real age???My guess is it was a typo chris :yaya: ...yesterday Oswald was labeled as Ozzy (http://forum.realityfanforum.com/index.php/topic,11390.0.html) and today he's just a regular Oswald (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race11/bios/bio2.shtml).

.... Wheres Miami Vice reruns when you need them?
:js: BTW peach, I would think wherever the starting line is, it better be connected with a causeway or bridge, as the racers typically drive directly to the airport. But then again, there may be some surprises in TARAS.
Wheres Miami Vice reruns when you need them?
ASAMBER1, you are wrong about Teri's age. She is 53 and younger than Ian (54), Joe(56) and maybe Bill (53). I could have Joe and Bill's ages reversed, but my point remains valid.
Well, even if JVJ go first, I still wont believe that boot list because them going out early is pretty much known to everyone who reads spoilers..(:;)Well if I were guessing I would have guessed Mary & David out first and I'm pretty sure a lot of you were thinking the same thing :D! plus Romeo never said Romber went out fourth place all he wrote was that Ian/Teri & the Guidos outlasted Romber.
I wonder which teams will end up being on the first flight...

What do you all think about Adams Key as a possibility? Elliott Key?
I regret to tell you that Google Earth (my new toy) shows nothing of the necessary trails on either Adams Key or Elliott Key. Although Adams Key has a boat dock, it has no causeway camera angle(it's way too far to the Rickenbacker). Elliott Key does not appear to have either a boat dock or a causeway camera angle. It's highlly unlikely that either Adams Key or Elliott Key is the starting line. Besides, Puddin's inside information indicates that the site is somewhere in the Bay Harbor Islands, which could only stretch as far south as Virginia Key.
Did he change his Name on myspace to go **** yourself Sandiego when he got home from racing?I'll check ..brb

puddin: LOVE the new "pudd"-y cat avatar!
Not really a spoiler--but interesting for all that:
Peggy and Claire (http://www.tarflies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=96548#96548) "The Gutsy Grannies" were apparently on a short list of 18, but did not make the final cut.
We went to the southern tip of Chile; we went to Mozambique, where not only do people not speak English, they don't want to speak English.Kind of disappointing that he didn't confirm Antarctica!
Not yet peach..but I'm not worried because I think All Stars well bring in the ratings TPTB are looking for.
:waves: Muchas gracias Papi Grande :kuss:de nada
Pelican Harbor is a great "in-town" marina where you can cruise the intracoastal for great shopping or dining or head out to sea with great ocean access at either Haulover Inlet or Government Cut. Pelican Island, a nature preserve and bird sanctuary, is just 400 yards offshore. You can take your boat or a marina water-taxi to the beautiful 10-acre island, which has "chickees"--open huts with thatched roofs, barbecue grills, picnic tables and a sand volleyball court. The island is open to the public and can be reserved for large groups.
Approach from Sea: Located midway between Government Cut and Haulover Cut, at ICW St. Mile 1084, just north of the 79th Street Causeway Bascule Bridge on the east side of the ICW. At ICW Marker "25" turn east into the marina basin.
Position: 25° 51.6' N., 80° 09.9' W.
puddin--could you please make the 2nd little thumbnail bigger for us? The one with the girl in red? I want to compare the dock to the one D/M is sitting on---Thank you!
Oh WOW just wow :jumpy: :yess:
and hey it was used for Miami Vice (http://www.infracity.de/miamivice/marinas/marinas.html)
Where are Miami Vice reruns when you need them--says puddin!
I was just posting about those rocks--- great minds and all on this forum!
Thanks Big Papi! It was all teamwork--best forum ever!
Now you can tell the kids you've "been" there too! ;)
Here are some of the palm trees and maybe the racer walk on path in the background?
Honestly i'm ashamed that I doubted you all would find the Starting Line! ** :gj: :werock: **
It's not the easiest place to find pictures of so good link peach!!.
Papi :waves:
Pelican Harbor Park (http://www.ussvi.org/mem/state-fl.htm)
There's a 45-ft. cat owned by Miami-Dade named the Pelican Island Skipper (can't link to it directly; go here (http://www.st.nmfs.gov/st1/CoastGuard/VesselByName.html) and enter the name). No luck yet on the derelict (not a spoiler or anything, just curious ;D).
Oh I don't think Eric will be talking to anyone besides his friends and family, lol Big Papi :kissy:Found some Troop pictures or are these (http://www.troop566.org/events/Cleanup%209-17-05/Cleanup-05.htm) the ones you already posted peach?YUP nevermind

I’m here Puddin. :waves: Sorry for not dropping in. Teams already! Cool. Thanks Peach for the heads up. I was, and really still am, swamped at work.Did you hear me yelling " Chateau where are YOU!?!? " :jumpy: I'll guess Italy? (hmm on second thought I'm not so sure ) and am green with envy!!
And I took a little trip over the holidays. Can you guess where I went? Some pix I took:

Paris it is. And...here are some more clues. Does it look familiar now?

p.s. They just filmed the amazing race in Maputo!! I don´t know any details but I have been to the fort where the pit stop was. Cool.Nothing new except the mention of a pit stop. Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but it's hard to tell the date of the post.
About the Mozambique blog, my guess is that is was posted Friday December 8th at 11:36 am.Good find Slowhatch!! Dec 8th (https://www2.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=17081971&postID=702388260557905994) is when the blog entry was posted.
Pelican Harbor Marina may not be the exact starting line. You have more info? :js: ???
Pelican Harbor Marina may not be the exact starting line.
You have more info?
We know our guys were at our island for sure by TES footageFor sure peach! theres no doubt about that :)
Antofagasta in the Atacama desert a giant hand scuplture of fiberglass is the work of Chilean artist Mario Irrizábal. It is known as La Mano del Desierto - The Hand of the Desert - and is a landmark beside the Panamerican highway which runs north south through the Atacama desert.
We know our guys were at our island for sure by TES footage. Where their cars were is still unknown though--the Marina is a possibility but could be anywhere nearby!
This has nothing to do with TARAS, but I thought I would just throw this in for the heck of it. Appllications for TAR12 closed on January 16. Did any of our guys apply? Puddin? According to rules TAR12 will start filming anytime in late May to July for airdate in August.Sounds like quite the trip Gman :jumpy: << puddin packing her bags!! The only thing is TAR12 has not been officially picked up yet by cBS but me thinks the All Star ratings will soar and TPTB will get the results they were hoping for :yess:
Also noted is that TAR Central Aisa will be producing their first show this spring with contestants from Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Rumania and Bulgaria.
SO, it just might be that I will be either running into TAR12 or TARCA during my May-June trip to Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Rumania and Bulgaria. :yess:
Maybe its Pelican Island? I just heard it doesn't start at the Pelican Harbor Marina , i have no specifics.
great job Big Bad BEARS!!!! :jam: :jam:
I think I have found a possibility for the start location. It is the Crandon Golf Course located on the "island paradise" of Key Biscayne: 6700 Crandon Boulevard, Key Biscayne, Florida 33149
I put some indicators on a GE image of the golf course. The yellow arrow are the direction of the morning sunlight on November 20th. The thick red arrow is the direction of Phil's torso during the "Go" shot. The thin red arrow is the direction he has turned his head. The camera angle for the "Go" shot is shown. The thick orange arrow is the direction of Phil's torso during the "gone" shot. And the thin orange arrow is the direction he has turned his head. The camera angle for the "gone" shot is also shown.
The teams are shown as a lime crescent. They will run southwest to the parking lot.
I read that the Peggy & Claire made the list of 18 :yess: but does anyone eles know the rest of the teams who made the list of 18? (SORRY ITS OFF TOPIC)
( Congrats to Da Bear fans! )
^^ visions of teams arriving in golf cartslol golf carts.......but that is a good idea for the setting you know?
Maybe that one is from our media site--little Pelican Island??Thats what I think too ..same goes for Bert & Elise ..
:jumpy: Guys look at this! I think this is the crooked/wrecked boat--and look at the dock and compare to where D/M were sitting!!
Pictures from a set titled Pelican Harbor cleanup!
apskip--could this fit your findings??
We might have it!
It is not typical for Phil to be at the media site. The plants and trees look similar; he may have been standing on the boat right next to BVM/Elise. (look closely at the BVM footage and you can see someone in a tracksuit--probably Eric--in the background ;D)

where is the tpc with the 17 island played at?? i know its in florida but is it near miami?
Great eye puddin--I didn't see the boat in the background!
So how does media day work? Any possibility that these photos could have been taken the day BEFORE the teams actually left? 2PM makes it a little late to get to the airport...(Thanks Chateau for the times!)
Might also explain why we see a cute blonde in a pink shirt (?Dustin) at the airport--they could have changed shirts by then...
Phil was at our media site. :dancer:
Somebody Said that the guy in the background could be Eric....Hes weiring a white shirt and what appearers to be jeans Eric is wearing a navy blue and white track suitwe were discussing this picture reality.tv from this video ..

How about the clothes? Do they require racers (and Phil) to wear the same clothes for media day and start day?
That's right reality.tv--banredbeans=Tammy Gaghan!
Hi Tammy! It's great to have you sharing your insights here! I loved meeting you and your thoroughly delightful children at lunch and TARcon--some of my favorite pictures are the ones with your children! I would have loved to see you and Bill on the race again--doesn't seem fair that Season 8 was left out... :'(
So we know where the media photos were taken.....still working on the start location though Chateau's golf course looks very possible...what else?
I was wondering where this "taken from above" shot was from...now I'm thinking it must be from the umpires chair at he volleyball field!
Are we ready to start speculating more about Ecuador and the Atacama desert?
that could be a sandtrap
Are we ready to start speculating more about Ecuador and the Atacama desert?
I don't have much evidence on Poland.. basically that's what I think I heard. All I'm guessing is the teams must be from a really far place from KL for the fifth team to be so far behind the other four (if they were coming in from a much closer place/country, or if that place have lots of choices for connecting flights, I'm pretty sure the fifth team would've figured out some other flight options.. but they were at least 7-8 hours behind)

I've never posted in a spoiler thread, and I just read the last several posts in the README thread so I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting this. I have a relationship to one of the teams (Frat boys!) - and I am reasonably sure they are not the first ones out. I think they're in it for quite a while.
awww too bad too sad for the frats friend. On another note.. these guys are really 40 & 41? cripes must be the bald heads that make them look closer to 50 :js: ?
HI TAMMY! your one of my favorite teams of all time!.......but anyway where paying attention to the starting line. Im curious about where the finnish line is. Maybe Eric is leaving a hint with his Myspace name. "Go F*** yourself san diego." I know its from a movie or a song or somthin but maybe he`s kinda hiding it. I dont know it was just a thought.A few pages back we already discussed that Eric's my space sig was there before the race started reality.tv. and could not have anything to do with Eric hinting to where the End City might be.

I still think end city might be Hawaii. Why would they fly from Guam(US territory-customs) into Hawaii only to fly somewhere else in the States.

Another thing to consider: Why send the eliminated racers to Hawaii? ??? If the final city is on the mainland, production could save money by sending them directly from Narita/Nagoya (plenty of flights available).
On the question of finish line city, I agree with BANREDBEANS. I consider Honolulu to be the most likely. Just because previous seasons only used the Hawaiian islands as a brief stopover on the way back to the lower 48, this does not mean that AR11 should not be ground-breaking and do it differently. My second favorite is any other major Hawaiian island (Hawaii, Kauai, Mauai, Molokai, Lanai). My third favorite is San Diego, just because it has never been a finish line city and L.A., San Francisco, and Seattle (plus Phoenix and Denver) have.
We know that the final 3 flew from Guam to Honolulu. From there they could have transferred to another flight back to the lower 48, done some tasks and then got on a flight back to the lower 48, or done tasks on Oahu or one of the major Hawaiian islands. I consider the last one the highest in probability.

Interesting idea to end in Hawaii. My "problem" with this idea is that the racer will not have raced around the world. Miami is 6000 miles from Hawaii. I am trying to recall if any season of TAR ended in a different time zone that when it started.
Are we ready to start speculating more about Ecuador and the Atacama desert?
Sure peach..whatever you want :kissy: .

Thanks Chateau!
And those connections require some pretty significant back tracking. What about through Bangkok? ???
Guess we won't know for sure till we get a promo to "spoil" but I've always thought that Mozambique to Poland to Malaysia was a weird route. There would be so many other cool places in Africa, India, and Asia that they could go to more directly.
And do we think that TPTB would have wanted to avoid Europe in favor of the more exotic?--especially since spoiler evidence seems in short supply in hindsight...
Still--Poland sounds most interesting!
We have a significant time gap between Maputo, Mozambique and Kuala Lumpur - December 2 to December 9 so the teams could very well go north to Europe (one of the five continents visited) to places like Ireland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia and Poland which have not been visited in previous TARs
 lol Papi..I didn't even notice that it had 10 teams at the link.
eta: JVJ aren't even in the slide show (http://www.kirotv.com/slideshow/programming/10827360/detail.html?qs=;s=10;p=/entertainment/;dm=ss;w=400) " OOPS "
With the usual screwup on TAR postings, this poll might have been scheduled to run AFTER the conclusion of Ep #1.
The connection Equator to Tropic of Capricorn to maybe Antarctic Circle (South 66 degrees 33' 39") would be a whiz-bang start to AR11.
I can't find a thing except this poll just because I think its ironic that some of "us" think that John V & Jill are first to go ...
QuoteSo are you calling Seattle puddin?
Today I was reading the blog of an intrepid traveler who went the entire length of the Pan American Highway from Prudhoe Bay to Ushuaia.
So you must have called puddin! Both the link (http://www.kirotv.com/programming/2309296/detail.html) and the survey have been corrected!!Nope I didn't call them I drove there ;D
I actually heard 'an African American couple' but I don't really have any evidence if Ucheynna/Joyce were really indeed the 5th team to arrive (I didn't stay there long enough). And also from what I heard they were coming in from Poland.
For all I know, they just might be trying to throw me off with the info, but I doubt they know I was an evil eavesdropping ****er at the time I can't tell if they really were trying to throw me off, or I had somehow misheard the info. But it probably would make a lot of sense that they were coming from a really long distance for the 5th team to be delayed so far behind the other teams. That's my assumption anyway. I guess we'll see.
Puddin, can you try calling the golf course to see if they do exclusive engagements? um, for example, like on November 20th? :angel:I've been watching basketball & golf all day and haven't seen or heard anything TAR related,,,just a lot of Survivor Fiji hype :meow:
Any Easties that see a TAR promo should, please please please, say so right away so the Westies like me can record it 3 hours later.

Sunday, Feb. 25
(8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT)
THE AMAZING RACE: ALL-STARS -- The second team
is eliminated in Chile. Phil Keoghan hosts.
I wonder why the premiere is only 1 hour? hasn't it always been 2 hours?Mike--I think I read somewhere that the last 1 hour premiere was TAR 3, but IIRC, some were two hours and some were 90 minutes. One hour doesn't seem enough to introduce them all, get them to the airport, much less get them thru a Detour, a Roadblock, and a Philimination.
Mike I think TAR10 was 90 minutes? TPTB probably don't have to waste 30 minutes this time around because we know he cast which is a good thing I guess?
peach! no way I would give up the Race for the Oscars unless I was invited to attend ;D !! :dontgo:(http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b105/rawalsh/misc/millan/oscars.gif)

:yess: Guess we'll all be watching football!
An interactive HK map here (http://www.centamap.com/gc/home.aspx); click "English" at the upper-left and then enter Siu Sai Wan in the search box--or just zoom to the eastern shore of HK island. A sports stadium, some moderately tall buildings (http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/ne/?id=100753), some gardens and a lighthouse, and...that's about it, as far as I can tell.
I don't get it :(My take for what its worth is this STUPID LESBOO took a plane to Hong Kong for a vacation and ran into some filming of Amazing Race, maybe at the airport from airport...I think? and then made a blog entry to tell their friend Tian about her trip
reached HK at like noon lidat norhh..
oh my tian--but there is an alicia tiang on the contacts --or maybe it means something else...
actually its my fault la. i go around telling ppl i 15 le. hahaaa.
so naturally they'll think im turning 16.
BUT NEHMIND. 16 wud be next year
then passed phone to calvin! =DWell, not so sure about that part...
then he went "do you understand english?"
any idea when the travel channel is rerunning hong kong are we there yet???Nothing at the TC website about additional airings of that episode. I've been googling Siu Sai Wan attractions, but it's just some shopping and a few hiking trails. If I were producing this leg, I'd give all the teams Octopus cards (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octopus_card) instead of cash and tell them when the value is used up, they're on their own. ;D
lol, thats a pretty cool card Slowhatch. ..........yadda yadda cut to this part
In addition to paid ad spots, CBS has big plans to promote its own schedule and talent before the game's estimated 95 million viewers.
"We look at it the same way our advertisers do; it's a huge showcase, and we pay close attention to every single second that goes into that game," said CBS marketing prexy George Schweitzer.
The network won't divulge its exact promotion plans, but the Monday premiere of the comedy "Rules of Engagement" will get special attention, as will the premiere of "Survivor" on Feb. 8. Also getting a promotional bump will be "The Amazing Race," which returns two weeks later.

Ushuaia, Argentina
Monday, Nov 27, 2006 17:09
Alter a 7 hour flight with a terrible hangover from Thanksgiving, we arrived in Ushuaia, the southern most city in the World!!!! It really feels like it…the sun rises around 4:30 AM and does not set until 10:30 PM. We went on an excursion that took us through the Beagle Channel where we stopped at several islands to see the sea lions, birds, and some famous lighthouse. The following day Dave and I headed out to the Tierra del Fuego Nacional Park. We did a few small treks and at the southern most point of the park where Route 3 ends, we ran into contestants from the AMAZING RACE!!! (that might be the most exciting thing we saw in Ushuaia) Dave and I tried to run and get in on the action but we were ignored. PS, it is soooo staged. I don't have many pics because I need my battery to last longer
just a guesstimate ..we need mwooden to update the timeline :kissy:
So to date this:
Thanksgiving was 11/23
Flew out 11/24
excursion on 11/25
Saw racers on 11/26
Oh BOY! We saw the Guido's in Ushuaia on 11/28--so they have a couple of days still possible for Antarctica!
There is something going on in that field--can anyone see it better? I want to know what they are doing!
Great find Slowhatch! :jumpy:
I was struck by the dates today--we know they flew out of Miami on Nov 20, arriving in Quito late-ish that evening. And we know that they were at our hacienda on 11/21 (or at least Phil was based on the date on his photo). The teams aren't seen again until we see The Guidos on 11/28. So that's a whole week. Now certainly an extended pitstop could affect the schedule, but I kept thinking 2 days Quito-Hacienda, ? 2days Chile (desert), ? 2+ days Ushaia ( and maybe Antarctica--fingers crossed). So just in case we have a spare day in Ecuador, I wanted to do some further exploration--so that's what I'm working on.
Apparently Amazing race is in town today, so we´re going to sniff that out.
I hope they do something with this train. The photo of the zodiacs was taken only 1.7 miles away!
A blog mention (http://sarahinsouthamerica.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html) (middle of page, 23 Nov entry) of San Pedro de Atacama. "Photos coming soon," but no photos! :'( :lol:Another date and sighting confirmed! Fantastic find Slowhatch!! :yess:QuoteApparently Amazing race is in town today, so we´re going to sniff that out.
awesome Chateau!! :jam:
Gotta love the crew ducking down in the boat
Is he still smiling? ;D
Thanks Big Papi.
You should show that boy this link (http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/index.php?s=&showtopic=2766846&view=findpost&p=6073259) and see if it jogs his memory!

I'm not finding the reference to the 27th
apskip I really think that the blogger might have updated her blog entry on the 11/27, maybe a day or maybe even two after she heard that the Amazing Race was in town?
Open Hours: during the season, daily outings at 9:30am and 3pm.11/26=("the following day")=encounter with TAR @ Tierra del Fuego National Park (per Chateau the zodiac boat picture was taken between 11:40 AM and 12:12 PM )

Once on King George Island you can catch our Bo –105 Helicopter that will fly you to nearby glaciers. Here you can enjoy a wonderful sight of millenary ices and enjoy a pleasant snowmobile ride over huge ice fields in Antarctica.
Georgiapeach, I like your timeline. The teams won't actually step foot on the Antarctic Continent, but if they have a flyover, I guess the TPTB wiill consider that a visit to the seventh continent!

(where are the camels when you need one? :lol:}
There are Mozambique blogs & pictures there too but I'm too tired to look through them all peach
This really just stuck out to me and could be a spoiler.
On Rob and Amber's show on FOX Realtiy Amber says how ever since Amazing Race, Rob and her have had the worst luck flying.
Mind you Rob is the producer on the show and chances are they didnt have time to do all the editing and stuff until Rob came back from the race, and i could see ob putting that in, hinting to their elimination on the race.
I think Rob and Amber will get eliminated through a flying mishap. My guess its from South America to Mozumbique, [I think flying to South Africa is only to get to Mozumbique, i dont think they do anything there] and their is always that small chance they could be the 5th team in Malaysia almost 8hours beind because of a bad flight.
We already know their flight from Miami to Ecuador was delayed almost an hour.
:groan:
I can't keep up with pop up threads! :rotf:
But I beat ya! Check the times!
Just saw a commercial! Dustin & Kandice in what I assume, coming in on a speedboat ..same for Romber who are sharing their boat with Kevin & Drew!

Thanks apskip, that's good to know. Is it Saturday or Sunday the 26th? What are the other two flights? They may play a role in getting around down there since Ushuaia is such "a pain to get out of" according to the blogger.
Sheesh--if they lock out the mod we know we are in serious shape!I couldn't post! lol ! It was telling me my session ran out? anyway ....
Is there anyway to make bigger pics?

We are waiting on an answer from CBS about the pictures. :).
There was an isolated bout of high winds and rain on the 27th so if that was the day they wanted to go to Antactica it may have had to been cancelled.
My annoyance with the Miami airport continued the next morning as I attempted to find American's international check-in line. That proved to be roughly a mile from the ticket counter where the hotel van had dropped me off. Once I actually got in line, things were fairly quick, leaving me plenty of time to discover just how mediocre the selection at the airport bookstore was. (I had plenty of reading matter with me, so this wasn't a real problem. It just deprived me of the pleasures of bookstore browsing.)
How long would it take by BOAT from Punta to Ushuaia? Too long, right?
Darn, can't even say they crossed the Strait of Magellan...
What IS going on in that field?I'll make a working guess (for now) that the racers just follow a path which leads them to the dock with the zodiacs (another view here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/64611471@N00/330439489/); you can see the tires lower-left).
We've got a couple of real bookstores in our airport--anybody know about Miami?

CENTER CITY
Around the Plaza de Armas are government buildings; the Club de la Union (Union Club); and mansions with turrets, beautiful roofs, glassed-in sunrooms and well-kept gardens with huge "araucaria" trees (slow-growing native trees revered by the indigenous people of the region).
The plaza itself is full of huge, old trees, and in the center is the Monumento a Hernando de Magallanes (Monument to Ferdinand Magellan). Note that the toes of one of the bronze indians is polished and shiny. Local legend states that everyone who touches these toes will return to Punta Arenas someday, making the statue a favorite with tourists and locals alike.
MOUNT OF THE CROSS
There is a wonderful panoramic view from the top of this hill of the entire city, with its red, blue and yellow roofs and streets sloping toward the Strait. On the horizon Tierra del Fuego can be seen, as well as Monte Sarmiento (Sarmiento Mount) and the southern part of the Brunswick Peninsula. The wrecks of old sailing ships that have remained where they ran aground also can be seen in the distance.
To see the other side of the city, go to the northern peak of Cerro de la Cruz. Follow Señoret street to Colón avenue, turn left and walk uphill for two blocks on this cobblestoned street dating from colonial times. This peak offers a different view of the area - the city's industrial section, the Barrio Hortícola (Horticulture Neighborhood), the Zona Franca (Duty Free Zone), and a lake used for ice skating to the left. Eight kilometers in the distance are the ski slopes of Cerro Mirador (Lookout Mountain), lines of open clearings slashing through the forested slope of the hill.
THE CEMETERY
This cemetery is interesting because of the huge mausoleums built years ago by the area's wealthy families. José Menéndez, an important pioneering businessman, has one of the most imposing mausoleums. It is a smaller copy of the Victor Manuel monument in Rome. The cemetery also contains a memorial to the fallen indigenous people of the region.
FORT BULNES AND PORT FAMINE
Both of these sites are located approximately 60 Kms. south of Punta Arenas. They are interesting primarily for their historical significance. Puerto del Hambre was an early Spanish settlement along the Strait of Magellan, and Fuerte Bulnes established Chilean authority over the region. To reach these sites, travel south on Route 9. The road winds along the edge of the Strait, and along the way can be seen the remains of shipwrecked boats
OTWAY INLET
The penguin colony is located 65 kilometers north of Punta Arenas on Seno Otway (Otway Inlet), along the northwest of the Brunswick Peninsula. The Magellanic Penguins return annually to this spot between October and March to lay eggs and raise their young. At the site, you will walk approximately two kilometers to the middle of a natural reserve filled with penguin burrows to see the comic antics of these delightful and defenseless creatures at close range.
MAGDALENA ISLAND
This island and its neighboring islet Marta is home to tens of thousands of Magellanic Penguins, cormorants, other birds and sea lions. Both islands make up the Monumento Natural Los Pingüinos (The Penguins Natural Monument), located 25 nautical miles north of Punta Arenas. The estimated population of the penguins on these two islands is more than 50,000 penguin pairs.
The boat trip to Isla Madgdalena offers contrasting views to the west and east of the Strait. On the west coast can be seen the Tres Puentes area, the village of Río Seco and other small settlements along the shore. Industrial centers and oil production centers can be seen in the distance, such as Bahia Laredo and Cabo Negro. Toward the east, the coast of Tierra del Fuego looms flat and long. In front of Isla Magdalena can be seen the deep Bahía Gente Grande (Large People Bay), a name that was given to this bay by Pedro Sarmiento de Gamboa four centuries ago because of the tall stature of the indigenous Ona tribe.

Depart Punta Arenas in the morning on the local ferry service for a crossing of the Magellan Strait which lasts 2.5 hours before your arrival at the capital of the Tierra del Fuego Province, Porvenir.
The tour of the town includes a visit to the Fernando Cordero Rusque Museum which has an interesting display of animal life in the area and a section on archeology and anthropology. There are also some examples of early Chilean film, the panning and mining of gold and a series of photographic exhibits of the Selknam Indians.
The main square is also picturesque with the Cathedral, built by the Silesian order in the last century. Also visit the Monument to the Selknam Indian, which is made entirely of wood before heading for the airport for a 15 minute flight which will take you back to Punta Arenas.
Crossing the Magellan Strait is located Porvenir, the capital of Tierra del Fuego Province. A pioneer city characterized for its livestock development and gold extraction. We will visit its main natural and cultural attractions.

peach, Porvenir was just a far fetched guess and like you noted its pretty flat so yeah if Amber is panning/sifting? for something whatever that thing is we still have a lot of options ..maybe Slowhatch could get the date properties off the pictures? Can someone test this link (http://www.cbspressexpress.com/media/assets/releases/documents/AMAZING%20RACE%20ALL-STARS%20CAST%20ANN%5b1%5d.DOC) ?
Also while I'm here while i'm thinking about it ...what we really need is mwooden to update the timeline :keeta:
you may think this is a silly question but if you can find out what order people are eliminated can you find out what order they arrive at the pit stops???? ???Oh I think us rff detectives have done a pretty good job from time to time predicting what order the teams come into the pitstop..I especially recall Chateau d if making predictions based solely on shadows and lighting that were right on :jam: BUT we need more promo's and pictures and the first episode is always the hardest. Personally I'm hoping Romber come in first in the first leg just so I can have some comfort knowing that they won something
haha puddin, Rob and Amber would be my second choice for winning...during TAR7 i was so obsessed with them making it to the F3 that I kept looking at those airport pictures of U/J and Ron and Kelly and I *THOUGHT* i found a guy all the way in the back that looked like Rob...red hat, red shirt, black side strap pouch....I wonder if it was really him.Oh I remember that picture Mike! but the guy you thought was Rob was wearing black hip/hop baggy pants and Rob was wearing camouflage shorts.
Haha! Yeah I got scared that you were mad at me, you're usually really awesome!! :jam:I don't get mad ..I get even :kuss:
It's a parade ! is that what the caption says?
The bridge walk looked scary--have you done it?
And I'd be stoked to get to meet Phil too! :flirt:
It is getting late here for me...so :gnite: and we''ll see you soon!
Porvenir, with more than 5,000, inhabitants is the Chilean capital of Tierra del Fuego. As part of a police detachment during the gold fever, Porvenir was born in 1883 and was founded as city in 1894. Just as gold, Porvenir shines. And precisely, one of the most interesting tours in the city is the gold circuit. 115 km. throughout the Baquedano chain where, in addition to astonishing views of the Strait of Magellan, it's interesting to visit the areas where the small-scale miners (pirquineros) continue extracting gold just like they did it 100 years ago. On foot or horseback, this tour is one of the unavoidable journeys throughout the city
We will go to Baquedano cord in the morning to follow the Gold route. It is an 80 kilometre trip, in which we can see the way in which the gold is extracted, almost in the same way as the first gold searchers who arrived around 1881. Also we will be able to see the peculiar refuges built with sod which were used as shelter by the miners. Then we will marvel at the splendour sight of the Straits of Magellan and also its environs.
Welcome serendipity :hithere: ..the page just won't load for me but I'll take your word for it :) ...thank you for the info!!

I didn't only see them at the stairs ;)
..I don't think I have Chinese installed on my pc language pack or whatever its called .
We still have a big gap between Maputo and Kuala Lumpur. Some 10 days unaccounted for except for a possible stop in Poland. Any new ideas?
Are our Hong Kong dates firm? You would know best on that... ;)
Because if not, we could always have another Indonesian pitstop (Bali, anyone?) --or even Singapore again. There are certainly lots of flights Singapore to Hong Kong as well. That doesn't jive with the whole "primitive locations" thing we have going on though, but then, neither does Hong Kong.
I'd much rather see another Africa stop, or Greek Islands, or Turkey...
here is the Northwest airline/Glenn original post (http://p085.ezboard.com/SPOILER--All-Stars-sighted-in-a-stop-on-the-All-Stars-Race/fsurvivorsucksfrm23.showMessage?topicID=7531.topic) (Slowhatch posted it on 12/29 here p. 33)
*puddin* would this be good to add to page 1?
Well, that means it is straight from KL to HK and I'm glad! I'd much rather see other stops between Maputo and +/- Poland...
Plus the Cha's shopping in HK? Not to be missed...
Would love for izad to come back to fill in the blanks........izad do you have anymore pictures or info that you can share? :kissy:

These are my best guesses at where van Munster/Doganieri should have picked. If they did not have an extended rest stop, then they probably had to pick one from the first group and one from the second group. What do you think?
puddin--your window pic match confirms that that style of dormer window is available in Chile.Hi everyone great job :jumpy: After looking at this picture she has leather chaps on which is what they wear when they are horse back riding It looks like she has the ones with the boots because they cross a lot of streams and rivers .Looking on the internet there are lots of horseback riding trips offered in Chile were they also camp outside at night. She looks like she is carring a stool maybe to help get on to a horse ??? ???well just my two cents.

Rob/Amber and Dustin/Kandice join up for the Intersection dont they?No one can be 100% certain about that red_sox but, it sure could be an intersection? And if it is an intersection there is most likely a roadblock after it seperating Romber from the BQ's so anything can happen like Season 10. Although T/J & R/K went for the FF they did not arrive at the pitstop first. The BQ's & Cho's roared through the mattress detour while M/D and the Bama's struggled . Dustin made quick time with the stamps/ roadblock then the BQ's won that leg. I think the Cho's came in 4th that leg?
If they do, chances are they are the final 2 teams to join, and the final two teams to arrive at the pitt-stop.. with Romber getting the flick.. wow that would be an intense episode.. the two possibly strongest teams working togetehr then fighting it out.. :meow:
as good as it gets farking CBS :meow: ..at least we have some proof that David/Mary survive the first leg ( pic date 11-22 )

Nice work Slowhatch!
And great find Puddin!
Remember Charla & Mirna from TAR5 at Buenos Aires Airport?
My God, Charla, that sweater has got to be ripe.

I wonder if Eric missed hearing the constant "TTOW" on this race :lol3:
CBS changed up the original video promo just a little ..link (http://video.cgi.cbs.com/vplayer3/play.pl?type=rm&width=480&height=360&feat=vplayer&adtype=pre&arena=video&prod=innertube&id=127267&ord=39670.54737055677)
Great job on the airport match Slowhatch! Nice picture puddin!
Now apskip and Chateau can tell us if this helps with sorting out the flight connections!
The dragons are from TAR10 EP3 Hanoi Vietnam..and I'm pretty sure Drews is old too..but its been so long I can't say 100%.CBS changed up the original video promo just a little ..link (http://video.cgi.cbs.com/vplayer3/play.pl?type=rm&width=480&height=360&feat=vplayer&adtype=pre&arena=video&prod=innertube&id=127267&ord=39670.54737055677)
There is one screen of what looks like Drew (?) ready to parachute maybe? Is this old or new? And how about the Chinese (?) dragons--old footage or new?
And remember (in reference to the pink shirt discussion) we know that the BQ's have pink shirts!
The Hong Kong Cultural Centre (Chinese: 香港文化中心) is a multipurpose performance facility in Tsim Sha Tsui of Hong Kong. Located at Salisbury Road, it was founded by the former Urban Council and, after 2000, is administered by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of Hong Kong Government. It is a place for a wide variety of cultural performances.
The centre is located on the southwestern tip of Tsim Sha Tsui, on the former location of the Kowloon Station of the Kowloon-Canton Railway. Adjacent to the centre on the west is the Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier of the Star Ferry, while to the east are the Hong Kong Space Museum and Hong Kong Museum of Art. The historic Clock Tower stands between the centre and the pier.

Frommer's Review
Sandwiched in between the Space Museum and the Star Ferry concourse, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre is the territory's largest arena for the arts. Opened in 1989, this complex is a good bet for free music and events, including family shows on Saturday afternoon from 2:30 to 4:30pm that may include Chinese dance, a magic show, or music. Thursday Happy Hour, from 6 to 7pm, features Chinese classical music, Western music, puppetry, and other performances by local performance groups. Pick up a monthly leaflet of events at the Centre or call tel. 852/2734 32820 for program enquiries.
Otherwise, the pride of the Cultural Centre is its 2,100-seat Concert Hall, home of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. It features a 93-stop, 8,000-pipe Austrian Rieger organ -- one of the world's largest. Two levels of seating surround the stage, which is set near the center of the oval hall. There are also two theaters, the Grand Theatre, used for musicals, large-scale drama, dance, film shows, and Chinese opera, and the smaller Studio Theatre, designed for experimental theater and dance
Hmmm...used to be the tallest building?? Obligatory rappel site?
Haven't they been notoriously inaccurate with the mileage before?
There still is that big gappo between Maputo and KL with only a possible stop in Poland. So there are still 10 days unaccounted for. That's four legs without confirmed destinations, or five legs is Warsaw is only a bypass spot on the way to KL.
Any ideas?
A wild guess might be stops in Israel, Serbia/Bosnia, Romania,Czech Republic, and then Poland. All new to TAR
mwooden, you have left out the leg in Atacama, Chile. That's right after Ecuador.oops I really haven't had a chance to go over the time line..
I hope they win !! :yess::ythat:

On Dec. 17, the SF Recreation and Park Department closed Strybing Arboretum in Golden Gate Park from 10 a.m. to approximately 12:30 p.m. for the filming of the reality television show, "The Amazing Race."
Look at all these flights HNL to SFO that put teams in position to get to the finishline between 10:00 and 12:30.
According to Rabrab :yess: At TWoP the race ends here

I didn't follow up on that ref. I just ran with it. Because Rabrab's word is golden.
Actual first post was at TARflies by a new poster this AM---great find! And Rabrab kindly shared that info on (she did note that the first info came from TARflies)
I am so excited--look how much we know!
Does it mean the final show ever or just for the season?
Oh.. My.. god!
Does this mean there will be a long foot-run to get to the finnish line once the teams arrive at the final destination? Or is it not too far..
If Charla and Mirna were winning but lost in a foot-race..i would just die :groan:
They dont work on grass! :groan: :rotf:
But seriously.. if they lose out in the end foot race.. biggest reality TV disappointment in HISTORY.

They already get an airport advantage in almost every airport (being able to in most cases get early boarding and first off the plane with her disability. In some airports they also have the ability to use that to get escorted to and through Customs. In some cases that could be a 15 minute break or it could be a lead of hours, depending on the airrport.

As I understand it, and correct me if I am wrong, TPTB hold the teams in Customs/Immigration until all of the teams have cleared. This helps to even things out since it all depends on the agent, the line, etc. some taking a lot longer than the others. When teams arrive on the same plane, you will note that they all seem to be running out of the airport together (or close together)

CBS EARLY SHOWAgree nothing new here....seems to be the "Rob & Amber" show not the amazing race. I like them...but so much play and they didn't even mention all of the teams. I was disappointed.
Phil's interview with Julie Chen just ended had nothing new or interesting! He did pitch the Sequesterville concept, which is video available starting at midnight EST Sundays on www.cbs.com/innertube/

This has to be the Guidos. Again.
This has to be the Guidos. Again.
CHATEAU, I assume you mean because of what happened in USHUAIA. I do not agree. That was after the 4th pit stop and according to our best information the Guidos go out at the 6th pit stop after Teri and Ian. I agree with MIKED19 that it most likely was UCHENNA and JOYCE getting into KUALA LUMPUR way behind the first 4 teams.
Just because it would be similar to their TAR1 run.I knew what you meant Chateau ;D

I know i might be the only one, to say its not Uchenna and Joyce, but i think its Romber. The "African American Couple" was heard so i dont think they would be 17 hours behind and still be seen, that would mean it would be late at night right and who would be at those caves way way at night, right, what it would have to be like 3am? Also i think a flight to KL would be easier to get than Mozumbique, right. Romber has already hinted to Amazing Race, so think they loose from a bad flight, to Mozumbique, where it would take them a long time to get a new flight, right? Also why would they let the teams head off to Hong Kong with a 5 hour head start, meanwhile if teams stay in a near African County they race would supply charter flights still being able to controll the teams, while waiting for Romber to come in, 5 hours later.
Hoping that my sequesterville spoiler (http://www.cabovillas.com/properties.asp?PID=109) holds up!!Darn .. Acapulco, Mexico!
Out of curiosity, did your sequester spoiler come from the same person as the elimination order? Or do you still think that list is pretty valid?
It's so hard to root for teams now that I've placed bets on certain people, but enjoy others more ;)
Hey I haven't been to myspace in awhile and was checking out this ...
Kevin has 4 friends..interesting that 2 of them are Teri & Ian as well as Jill!!

Now looking at Jills message to Kevin, I heard that the first set sequestered teams stayed in Mexico (http://www.cabovillas.com/properties.asp?PID=109) but wasn't sure if it was BS or not ?

hey guys new to this board, but im a reg at Sucks. I have a theory on why romber is not out 4th care to hear your comments/opinions.
1st off yah i know teams have gotten off to good starts and are then out early like in a few legs, BUT Romber never placed worse then 5th in TAR7 leading me to be somewhat scepticle.
2nd the majority of the the info we got for the spoilers was from Izad over at Sucks, and im not to sure he is a big romber fan, leading me to believe that during his KL sightings there is the POSSIBILITY that he saw a team he hoped would go out early (romber, but then actually saw them) and then decided not to give us pictures of them and only give us the other 4 teams and making up the U/J thing to make it sound like they beat out romber again (not likely that this is true, but when you think about it its not a bad theory)
lastly from all the information we have romber is supposed to do good for the next 2 episodes, making it even harder to believe they lose
well thats my theory take with it what you will (basically this is what I'm going with in hopes they aren't out 4th because its a shock to me that they most-likely are :\)

wifeofUSMCsgt, you're going to have a tough AR11 with not much Romber and lots of BQs and Mirna/Schmirna. You know this if you have been reading RFF carefully for months. Welcome to RFF anyway.

You were the one who mislead the posters that they got eliminated early so I asked how did you know? You started it so stay calm over there fella! :jam:How did I mislead the posters? Rob & Amber weren't eliminated yet. Why would I tell you anything? What did I start? Why do you think I'm a fella? How old are you? Where do you live? Where do you work? Why are you up so late?
You mislead us by making a post that Romber will be eliminated early and Im not asking you! You were the one posting it yourself! Why would i have to tell you who i am?? It's not ur business if I stay up late..
B:)
But hey, sorry if I'm attacking you or somehting.. I really just want to know if Romber really did get booted very early on this race..
Hope u answer me.. :snicker:

I know that I'm really lazy not wanting to page through the thread, but what is the latest-greatest estimation for the overall order of finish?Anything for you Wally :hearts:
whos gonna win????????
Peach,
I'd hardly call myself an expert :-[, but I do have a passion for rafting and have done the "Fu" twice. If I truly appreciated the dangers of it, I'd probably think twice. Nah, I'd do it anyway.
I haven't been to other rivers in Chile, but the Petrohue looks like a viable choice. Getting to Puerto Montt is fairly easy and a one hour drive to the put-in is realistic given the timeline. I'll be excited to see if your scouting is correct. I love all your info and am glad that I could contribute to your hard work. Thanks!
Also, apskip, is your avi the "Drowning Man" from Punta del Este?
And if the boot list is correct we only have 2 more weeks of Rob & Amber :jumpy: We are half way thro our misery :happy:B:) :whever: :james: :neener: :carryon:
I am definitely in the anti-Rob/Amber club, but you have to give ROB his due. The man does know his contruction machines! With all the bunching earlier in episode 2, his skill with the front loader did legitimately earn them first place in this episode(unlike episode 1 where he bought it with the leading taxi).to move from last (flight delay)to first in a leg takes talent and intelligence

Apparently Airbus, but (sorry to the E/D fans, and to Erics dad:P) I'm still hoping the boot list has the order of the F3 wrong :(
Papi I was rooting for Eric Jeremy TAR10 but knew that the Hippies won ( Kogs can vouch for me if it matters ) so I was like why fight it  . I loved both those teams and really think Eric/Jeremy would have won if Eric was not under the weather .. from what I heard he was miserable and sick to his stomach the last leg as well as tired because he couldn't rest on his trip back to the USA for the finale. I saw the pain in his face at End City and knew something was wrong.
So now it is his to win and rightfully so :jam:

Warms me heart puddin, but if Eric/Jeremia and the Hippies would have been in TAR10 they would have finished three days ahead even with the bunching...
Hi Big Grand Papi...so happy to see the list and that Eric and Danielle are in the final 3! :hearts: I personally have loved this team since day one...They have really been holding their own for the last 3 eps and I for one am rooting them.Apparently Airbus, but (sorry to the E/D fans, and to Erics dad:P) I'm still hoping the boot list has the order of the F3 wrong :(
It's ok Mike. I of course hope that it's right. For AR9 puddin was rooting for the Hippies and I of course was rooting for Eric and Jeremia. I still wished all the F3 teams the best of luck. puddin "won" that one so maybe after this one's over she and I will be even...and will still remain cyber friends. Good luck to your team the rest of the way

Shipwreck Beach. The real, live shipwreck is in the background. The arrow is there to direct teams from that reality show "Amazing Race". Apparently they were filming an episode that weekend.

I recognised one of the pairs (Danny or Oswald I think) from Season 2 but he was partnering with another guy.???
Here's a 14 Dec (http://talkback.stomp.com.sg/forums/showthread.php?t=9085) sighting, but I'm not sure how reliable it is.It fits in with the time-line perfect Slowhatch :jumpy:! Decoy teams were in Guam on the 15th? brbQuoteI recognised one of the pairs (Danny or Oswald I think) from Season 2 but he was partnering with another guy.???

Thanks, schwarzmoor. I'm starting to think that the mat was in Macau, not HK. A couple of possibilities: the poster fashionblue (see above) just didn't recognize both Danny and Oswald (I didn't recognize them in the zodiac); or they had just been eliminated and no longer had to sit together.

I heard about the Amazing Race All Stars. As it turns out that I was on Guam for business this week and got to see a few of the All-Star teams complete in some challenges. For the sake of integrity, I won't mention what teams I saw but I did get to see them do the road blocks. It was interesting to see the behind the scenes part of it all just for a few minutes of footage. They did their competition on the AF base there and it was pretty cool. We were not allowed to take pictures for obvious reasons. I can't wait to see the episodes air in Feb to see how it turns out.
You will be surprised on who the final 4 will be. I had the opportunity to see all 4 teams in action during a stop in Guam in Dec. IT was very interesting to see what goes behind the filming. It will be interesting to see what actually makes it on TV. They probably filmed for a couple of hours to get just a few minutes of final footage. When the epsiode airs, I will give you more of my take on the "realism" of the tasks accomplished.
Well, the list has been circulating the forums since early January and is apparently correct!
I'm excited to see how it plays out in may!
GO BQS!
OMFG I'm still stoked that my 4 favourite teams are in the final 4!!!!!ummm I'm pretty sure the list was posted at RFF first and that realitytvcalendar got there info from here (http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/index.php?showtopic=2666383&st=5670) which all comes back to here (http://forum.realityfanforum.com/index.php/topic,8579.msg173001.html#msg173001) ;) . All you had to do was read page one of this thread :readtt:
But about the Finish Line, is there any hard evidence that Eric and Danielle come first? Because at realitytvcalendar they've posted the spoiler list but I have not read any hard evidence on the F3 placings.
Is it all just an estimated guess?
Thanks a lot, looking forward to Charla Mirna and Romber showdown
Stay safe, Dan.

No one can say 100% certain if the list is right or which team wins unless they were at the final finish line.
I didn't mean to leave Izad (http://p085.ezboard.com/fsurvivorsucksfrm23.showMessageRange?topicID=7459.topic&start=1&stop=20) out..he spoiled the final 4 while they were racing with photo evidence :jam:

Hey, I accidently got all this info leaked too me so now I'm in full spoiler research mode becuase this leaked potential ending of Mirna/Schmirna, the BQ's and meat head and blondie in the final 3 is horrifying.
Basiclly, can someone summerize how sure the potential final 3 are? It seems the only reason people seem to think that Uchena and Joyce and Cha Cha Cha are out is becuase they saw them on a flight where they didnt looked that stressed. how real is this source? Please tell me there is some hope that the final 3 everyone is talking about ISNT the real final 3. Thanks.
So it still may come to pass that the BQ's are the eventual winners. Schmirna is toast though.
I'm having the list laminated :)
Elimination order:
11th: John Vito & Jill
10th: Kevin & Drew
9th: Dave & Mary
8th: Rob & Amber
7th: Teri & Ian
6th: Bill & Joe
5th: Uchenna & Joyce
4th: Danny & Oswald
3rd: Charla & Mirna
2nd: Dustin & Kandice
Winners: Eric & Danielle
aww there goes my happiness :(
I'll make my own list Puddin :P

....unless you can get banned for posting nonsense spoilers! In that case this is my wish list!!!!!
:mornin: It looks like a high school photo . Actually, the file format is more interesting (to me) than the list. Assuming it's not bogus, I wonder if the team numbers correspond to the numbered tags on the team backpacks.
Did you guys see this ? from Romeo @ sucks (http://p085.ezboard.com/fsurvivorsucksfrm23.showMessageRange?topicID=7459.topic&start=821&stop=826). It took me awhile to recognize Mary & David..I was like who the hell are they! It is them right?
 Speaking of the Guidos, can someone with better video quality snag this for me? It might be a future location (Poland?) but I'm not sure untill the Sprint videos come up.

Judging by the warm clothes, it's probably Europe (Poland). Wild guess, but could be interior of the Royal Castle in Warsaw. Or NOT. :groan: Needs more work..... ???

I was working this lead this morning while at home. I have a good sceen cap but I can't put it up right now. I saw a lot of nice marble pillars in the Polish landmarks but no matches yet. I hadn't exhausted the search. It will turn up within 24. :jam:
Me too! Maybe this will help.

Wow peach, did you ever work for the HSN. Last time I heard the word "ormulu" was on late night cable TV. All we need is an Antiques Showroad expert and we're home free.
Have lurked your wonderful site for awhile. I found this picture and thought it might be the location in Poland based on the marble wall detail and columns. This is in the Palance on the Water near Łazienki Park. Do with this info what you will. Hope this link works as I'm not too computer savvy.Oh Boy samiam !!!!!!! My family and I went to Wieliczka about six years ago. It was a great experience and was even funny when one man kissed the "sacred" dwarf. I believe that the entire world should come and see Wieliczka sometime in their lifetime.

Dee at the Palace ..From the look of next weeks preview it seems that Danielle is getting a little tired of Eric taking charge and bucks him a bit...could be a little bantering!
Dani:...Eric & I (?developing) is definitely important because Eric & I are both forming opinions about each other..Eric is very stubborn sometimes but I don't just lay back and let it just let him take charge.

HaHa about time she gives him hell tigress
oh, ok thanks!
I have a dumb question, but what does IIRC mean?
I could be wrong but, I think C/M got there at 8 am, O/D at 10 am, D/K at 10:10 am, and E/D at 10:40 am.
I think you are right.
I'm sure there will be some kind of gay equalizer though, maybe they'll need to fly to a new destination, or take the train somewhere.
really?
ooh and chapera & kingmichael are correct
Right so Charla & Mirna are team 1 for EP8 :waves:I honestly don't know if they were Team #1 in Poland.. but they sure were the first team to arrive at the route marker in Batu Caves. :)

Hey puddin! :luvya: Glad you're enjoying the pics. I might post a couple more later.. but they're not much different from what we haven't seen before. :)Izad :hearts: , your pictures are beautiful .........you bet I'm enjoying them :yess:. As far as Charla/Mirna being team #1 in Warsaw is just a hunch :). I bet Phil tells them they have made history and are the first Female team to come in first 3 legs in a row and thats what all that " are you kidding me " is all about :happy:Right so Charla & Mirna are team 1 for EP8 :waves:I honestly don't know if they were Team #1 in Poland.. but they sure were the first team to arrive at the route marker in Batu Caves. :)
HaHa about time she gives him hell tigress :lol:I couldn't agree more!! LOL Maybe she will hit him up top the head also!! :yess: She' s been getting alot of slack for being quiet...somehow she does not look like the quiet type to me!!!
Could also be just clouds rolling. It rains a lot in Poland in December.
 we'll see!
Puddin - what would you do IF the boot list was wrong HMM? :meow:
No it wouldn't, not for me anyways - we basically knew the F5 because of Izad, and we knew that T/I + Guidios lasted longer then Rob and Amber..
AND, fwiw, I wouldn't be totally upset with a 2nd place finish, that's still a good place!
Well, I guess we'll see!
I just still can't believe that we have a 100% accurate boot-list, it just seems so strange.
I wish there is some kind of big twist, but I don't like talking about this because I know it annoys you guys a lot that I like to pretend the list isn't accurate
But IF they win this will be me > :jumpy: and this will be Puddin > (:;)
 I'm just a meanie..not a fat ass bitch.
Hey !!! Annoy away. This ain't twop and puddin's not miss alki :lol3:
LOL, for some reason I feel bad not supporting E/D because you are Erics dad! It's nothing personal, I wanted them to win in TAR9!
But yeah, in that case - GO Dustin and Kandice! ! ! if the list is right at least they lose to one of the best racers ever and a hot girl, and NOT charla and mirna :umn:
LOL puddin you aren't mean, you are awesome :flirt:

LOL, for some reason I feel bad not supporting E/D because you are Erics dad! It's nothing personal, I wanted them to win in TAR9!Sorry still hoping the boot list is correct! Love, hugs and kisses for Danielle & Eric. They are turning into a great team considering they have never raced together and I can't wait to see what they do this week. :luvya:

Don't forget when looking at the vidcaps, we are talking about two days of things happening in Poland. This is precisely why I've grabbed for asprin twice today. :mornin:

THE BOOT LIST (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v365/michael_dimech15/bqtonguetx3.gif)
even though we, well most of us anyways, minus me, think the boot list is right, that article does not "confirm" it by any means.
Well, that's true, but LETS Just say there is a TBC there can be:So a possible timeline...
April 8th - leg 9
April 15th - Leg 10A
April 22nd - Leg 10B
April 29th - Leg 11
May 6th - Leg 12/13
I guess there won't be a TBC episode this season, because wouldn't that all count as one leg. There isnt enough weeks left until may 6th for one leg to take 2 weeks, so I guess the schedule will be something like this:What do you mean by TBC counting as one leg? TBC's are done over two legs. EP11&12 or EP 9&10 would be a good slot for the TBC.
4/8/07 (Su.) 8:00 PM CBS (#1109) - NEL - U/J
4/15/07 (Su.) 8:00 PM CBS (#1110) - U/J gone
4/22/07 (Su.) 8:00 PM CBS (#1111) – NEL - ??
4/29/07 (Su.) 8:00 PM CBS (#1112) - Chas gone
5/6/07 (Su.) 8:00 PM CBS (#1113) – Finale
I'm leaning towards EP9 to be a NEL because the sightings put the teams in Malaysia on Dec 10th then we lose track of them on the 11th and the next sighting is the Hong Kong airport on Dec 12th. .....
hmm...the people at sucks seem to be getting annoyed at the fact that I'm not bashing eric and danielle over here.
I feel the need to say this now since I don't want to feel like I'm hiding anything from you guys since you guys rock
I'm not acting fake here or on sucks. I don't really like E/D being on all stars, I just don't feel the need to constantly say it over here since I know the majority of you guys are fans :hearts:

Chateau, LOL what did they say to you ?
Yeah - I was just worried that people would think I was acting fake and you guys wouldnt like me :'(
Enough of that mushy crap though LOL
I'm still surprised puddin rememberd RYAN AND PETER!!
Saturday, December 16th, part two...They were checking every back that was being carried on, and we also had a film crew filming four twenty-somethings on the flight, but I didn't find out what for...That's it; no photos or other info.
Eric & Danielle (winners?)
Has anyone commented on this picture of Oswald/Danny yet? For some reason, I think it's from Guam
Hey, newbie here, but long-time lurker checking in to join the party! :jam: Looking forward to spoilering/speculating with a fantastic team of RFF detectives – here’s a contribution of mine on Roadblocks…In response to your comments about Danielle and Eric. I don't think the teams know exactly what the roadblocks are so I don't think he intentionally gives her the difficult tasks but as luck would have it... she has had to do the harder tasks. He also seemed to enjoy watching her bust her ass last night..and I thought it was pretty funny! She really had to work hard in that task, she was pushing the bike most of the time because she had a flat tire. She is a very strong girl!
One of the most enjoyable strategic aspects of the race for me is how teams choose to divide up Roadblocks, ever since the rule that no person can do more than 6 Roadblocks on the race was implemented in Season 6. With that in mind, I’ve done some stats and analysis…
Roadblocks by episode:
Boardroom Puzzle
= Dustin, Charla, Eric, Oswald
Fish Farming
= Kandice, Mirna, Danielle, Danny
Find Team Letter
= Kandice, Mirna, Eric, Oswald
Who Smells a Rat?
= Dustin, Charla, Eric, Oswald
Toss Rungu
= Dustin, Mirna, Danielle, Danny
Ride Rowboat (although this roadblock was not shown on TV, I rewatched the episode and looked out for the people wearing/holding lifevests)
= Kandice, Mirna, Eric, Danny
Knight in Armor
= Dustin, Charla, Eric, Neither of the Chas because they took the fast-forward when intersected with Uchenna/Joyce
Part-Time Job
= Kandice, Mirna, Danielle, Danny
Roadblocks by team member:
Beauty Queens
Dustin: Boardroom Puzzle, Who Smells a Rat, Toss Rungu, Knight in Armor = 4
Kandice: Fish Farming, Find Team Letter, Ride Rowboat, Part-Time Job = 4
Charla/Mirna
Charla: Boardroom Puzzle, Who Smells a Rat, Knight in Armor = 3
Mirna: Fish Farming, Find Team Letter, Toss Rungu, Ride Rowboat, Part-Time Job = 5
Eric/Danielle
Eric: Boardroom Puzzle, Find Team Letter, Who Smells a Rat, Ride Rowboat, Knight in Armor = 5
Danielle: Fish Farming, Toss Rungu, Part-Time Job = 3
Chas
Oswald: Boardroom Puzzle, Find Team Letter, Who Smells a Rat = 3
Danny: Fish Farming, Toss Rungu, Ride Rowboat, Part-Time Job = 4
My thoughts and predictions
* On the subject of physical roadblocks – whilst Danielle definitely has some justification for claiming that Eric pushes the physical roadblocks upon her (which I’m surprised about), in my opinion, the person who has performed the most “physical” roadblocks has been Danny of the Chas .
* Comments on individual teams:
Beauty Queens – my favorite team this season (Love that they bring such a competitive fire, that they rarely bicker with each other, and that they cause drama with the other teams)! They’ve done a solid job of splitting Roadblocks so far, but I think they would be fine regardless – both are very competent at performing tasks.
Charla/Mirna – my second-favorite team this season (Love the entertainment value they consistently bring), and I think arguably the most dangerously placed when it comes to Roadblocks, because of some limitations that Charla faces (which we saw in this episode with the bikes). If the 6/6 split still holds, Mirna can only perform 1 more roadblock and I have a feeling that the cousins may want to have her perform it on the final leg (when it’s likely to be most crucial).
Eric/Danielle – now that Eric has nearly maxed out his Roadblocks, Danielle will have to continue to step up, which should prove to be very interesting. I’m biased and think that either Dustin or Kandice could beat her any day, but I was pleasantly surprised at her performance in Malaysia on the bikes – she may well be able to compete with Charla/Mirna and potentially the Chas.
Chas – They have the added flexibility of having done one less Roadblock than the other teams (due to taking the Fast Forward with Uchenna/Joyce in Poland). To a slightly lesser extent than the Beauty Queens, I think they both would give a relatively similar performance at most types of Roadblock– in compiling the stats though, I was surprised that Danny had done the most physical Roadblocks of all racers, given that I personally feel Oswald is in better shape.
* Looking ahead…
- Assuming that there is a Roadblock on the final episode (either in Hawaii or San Francisco), there are 4 roadblocks remaining.
- It’s likely that the Roadblock in Guam will take place at the military base (thanks to sightings?)
- I have a feeling that the Roadblock in Macau will be the Sky Jump (from what’ve I heard, a combination of bungee-jumping/sky-diving?!)
That’s all for now folks, let me know what you think!
Ooh, and what do people think of this post from Sucks?

From what I overheard, at first Malaysia supposed to be NEL. So think about Uchenna and Joyce helped by NEL for the second time. But I guess, because they were so lagging behind they decided to eliminate them. So next episode would be NEL, I would expect that.

I guess sometimes they have to change it. Like another case of "12 hours mandatory rest period". They reached the pitstop in KL on Sunday. But they left to another destination (HK or Macau Im not sure) only on Tuesday. So its not 12 hours anymore. Im sure after editing they will tell that it is 12 hours.
Puddin - it might be because it's 2 30AM, but is it just me or did you add a question mark beside E/D as the winners, or has that always been there...It didn't show up in the google cached image thingy..I just did it so that I would drive you insane and be like OMG THE BQ"S WIN! :lol3:QuoteEric & Danielle (winners?)
That will throw off all your counts and conclusions.
:word: thinking outside the box! :wine: Good job Typesalot !!QuoteThat will throw off all your counts and conclusions.
But at the time of running the race, C/M don't know a roadblock will be cut from what is eventually part of the show, so I'd think they'd have to adhere to the limits that are in place. Although in the strange world they seem to live in, they may have a different interpretation.
(:;) don't slap me! LOL:touche:
That boot-list made its rounds! I have no idea what you should search...but it's pretty much to be expected that the site would stop taking bets with the boot-list not being wrong once yet..

Strange-o.
I like Danielle so much more than Eric after last night's episode. He has a pretty filthy mouth and repeated "dirty hooker" about 4 times.

You're welcome. There's nothing wrong with being in the "minority" camp btw. I'm a proud member as are their entire families, many friends, fellow racers, and fans.

I'm sure you're the biggest fan here ;) I'm not sure why I favor them, probably cause I'm around their age, I don't know, just like them for some reason. Of course, no one will replace Romber in my eyes but they are pulling a close second ;D

Well now you can count me as an avid fan of wifeofUSMCsgt. And the best of luck to you and your husband and may he always be safe.
Spinner dolphins are named for their fascinating habit of leaping into the air, and
rotating (or "spinning") up to fuor times around on their longitudinal axis. Researchers don't know why these dolphins spin, but theorize that it may be a way to communicate their location within a school to each other.
I suspect that D/O get yielded, because (i may be wrong..i need to watch the preview again) but I think phil said something about teams reach a shocking decision on who to yield..or something like that...
Damn it if it wern't for this picture I would be thinking the Cha's are running as decoys in Guam with the final 3.
weather underground Macau Dec 13th 2006 (http://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/VMMC/2006/12/13/DailyHistory.html?req_city=NA&req_state=NA&req_statename=NA), it was in the 60's all day and mainly cloudy.
weather underground Guam Dec 15th (http://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/PGUM/2006/12/15/DailyHistory.html?req_city=NA&req_state=NA&req_statename=NA), partly cloudy and clear high in the 80's.
Another NEL makes no sense because or EDEES penalty so it has to be a TBC right?
Conf from EP10:
Oswald: Danny & I have gone through 13 years of ups and downs but I think ultimately you know its how your result of disagreements at the end that sets the strength of the relationship.
This really isn't germane to spoilers, but I think it will provide a chuckle for a few folks who will see it here and not in Episode 12 thread where it belongs. Phil at the beginning of ep. 12 as Dustin/Kandice are leaving the mat in Macao voiceovers that they will fly to Guam "over 7500 miles away." Well, I knew that was rubbish but I was too busy to track down the real details. They are quite simple:
Direct Distance Kong Kong to Guam 2094 miles
Distance Kong Kong to Tokyo 1793 miles
Distance Tokyo to Guam 1564 miles
TOTAL HKG TO NRT TO GUM 3357 miles
Any way you calculate it, you are either 4143 or 5406 miles short of 7500 miles. I have sent Betran van Munster a letter informing him of this mistake and asking him to be more careful on geographic matters (he did the same on the distance South Pole to South America, a "few hundred miles"). I can do no less and maintain the standard of the title below my avatar!
