Rocco DiSpirito’s first foray into reality TV, NBC’s The Restaurant, didn’t go to well: the show reshot real events in order to capture them on camera, NBC pulled the show and then let it resurface on Bravo, never mind the fact that he was banned from entering the restaurant he opened on the show.
But he’s giving reality TV a second shot with a new show on A&E, simply titled Rocco. According to Variety, he “will reveal a softer side in ‘Rocco,’ solving problems for everyday folk via food, whether the person’s trying to win back an ex-girlfriend with a romantic meal or impress the future mother-in-law with a fancy engagement dinner.”
As of right now, A&E has only committed to a pilot episode, produced by 44 Blue Productions, so there’s a possibility this show will crash and burn even before it airs, thus besting his earlier record.
