The best bets for me, are either August 8th in Birmingham or August 10th in Nashville!!!
BTW, they are having a local American Idol contest (which I don't quite understand if this is for next season or not) in Chattanooga starting tomorrow. I told both my daughters (ages 18 and 23) that they should go try out, at least for fun!!! :ron:

Season 6 Auditions
AMERICAN IDOL begins its search for the next singing superstar and will host auditions in 7 cities across the country starting this August!
The quest to become the next American Idol starts now. Auditions for the sixth edition of AMERICAN IDOL begin in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Aug. 8, at a location to be named shortly.
Men and women 16 to 28 years old on Aug. 6, 2006, and eligible to work in the United States are welcome to audition. Restrictions apply – a full list of FAQs and Release Forms will be posted shortly. Additionally, coming soon, we will have video guides to audition cities, and photos and videos from every audition.

Ah ha!! I see this year they are going to San Antonio and skipping Austin. Not that it is a big distance for anyone to drive. We generally get a headsup if someone does well at the auditions.
I hope your daughters audition Tanny, and the 16 year old girl as well. It will be fun if they get to go to Hollywood. :jumpy:
