Big Brother UK Version
Jeffrey Scott:
Channel 4 has signed a new deal with Endemol, keeping the show on air until at least 2010. Channel 4 has apparently paid £180 million to keep the show for three more years. They sealed the rights to the show, expected to cost around £60 million for each series, after ITV expressed interest in buying the format.
However, ITV decided not make an official bid for the show, leaving the price tag considerably lower than what it may have been. The deal also includes future series of Celebrity Big Brother. The current contract was due to run out after Big Brother 8, and many speculated that ITV would swoop in and snatch the format. Simon Shaps, ITV’s director of television, apparently spoke with Endemol about buying the show, but decided not to buy the format, allowing Channel 4 to sign a new deal for the show.
Big Brother has been very valuable for Channel 4, helping push up the channel’s share and attracting a large amount of 16-34s and is now considered Channel 4’s flagship show. Reports have suggested that losing Big Brother would have been a huge blow to Channel 4.
TheCinera:
Great news to hear the show has been renewed for the next three years!
I can't believe that they never mentioned Hasslehoff or K-Fed in the first article. Maybe they haven't been officially confimed yet.
Jeffrey Scott:
That's what I'm wondering. See, great topic for discussion. hint hint.

The name Grace Ross and Sarah Harding have been very interesting for me to reasearch, so I decided to look them up on Wikipedia and here's what I found:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grace_Jones
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Harding
Sarah looks like a cutie. I think, if Sarah is going into the house, she'll go far.

I also searched BBuk Celeb 7 on Wiki, very interesting rumors:
"Celebrity Big Brother 7 has been confirmed to start airing in January 2007, and will run for four weeks instead of three as was the length the year before.
It has been reported that David Hasslehoff, Adam Ant, Boris Johnson, Jeffrey Archer, and Kevin Federline will appear as contestants in the show."

So what would make K-Fed want to go on the UK version of the show? Me thinks he needs the extra air-time, and the break-up with Brit might have affected it too. I wonder if he expects to make it there long, he'll be out faster than Shahbaz (only he won't quit, he'll be be voted out).
Jeffrey Scott:
I'm very familiar with Grace Jones, but I agree, Sarah Harding should go far.
