The pic in question (the one that might be in Kuwait) looks to me like some sort of race route. The people are all lined up, cheering -- there is a yellow flag indicating it's part of a course of some kind. Maybe?

I haven't seen this posted here, but over at TWOP, someone linked an article stating that two teams are eliminated on the first leg. (Sorry if someone got to this first - I looked but couldn't see it)

Looks like a camel race to me. And I don't think that's India (at least not Rajasthan where the camel races are held, TAR7 covered it already). Kuwait is likely.
