puddin:
Rob & Kim .. don't match the backpack is different too

Aventus:
The pony tail of the girl is to short to be any of the girls in the competition. Not to mention the guy just don't resemble anyone. I would say they are a decoy or someone from the prodution.

They can't be decoys they match no team so probably the latter .

Neobie:
Ai-yi-yi. You secretive bunch. You guys give me a headache.

My stand is that they mixed in decoys (people pretending to be racers but have nothing to do with the race, not just eliminated racers) with the real teams at the Eiffel Tower.

I don't recall reading that, can you supply your info source on the route.  I did read that the racers would be selected from "Asian" countries (excluding Japan, Australia, NZ, and Middle East).

Here is the quote and the source:
"Limiting the playing field to Asia may, on paper, have sounded easier, but in reality it was just as tough as shooting the US version."

I'm with Kogs -- I'm confident TAR is back in NZ this year -- looking at our last itinerary on p. 1 on this thread, I don't see why it would be tight for them to get there.

ETA: this page of the thread has the most NZ info:
