I read the same blog information and it was clearly the morning of Nov. 28 when they saw the racers since they didn't arrive in Ushuaia until evening of 27th

On this, I have to admit that the Mauritius video had that flavor too. And some frank discussions with TAR5 racers revealed that retakes do happen. But it does not matter to me as long as it does not get unfair. It may be just like the delays they have to face in getting sign offs for face time from people along the way.

Yeah i don't think it's staged to the point where it's unfair...they probably only do retakes when they know it wont affect the outcome.
