I'm starting to sound like a scribe for NBC, but I don't mind: credit where credit is due, and their diligence is commendable. Using only a few markers, they have identified the cap below as being the statue of Admiral Suffren on the waterfront at St. Tropez (source). If we assume the admiral figures somehow in the storyline, that leaves a bit of a puzzle. He only played a small, tangential part in the (U.S.) Revolutionary War. He also fought some battles with the Barbary pirates, which might bring Jefferson back into the picture. And he was also part of the Knights Hospitaller (Order of Malta),but...so was a lot of the French navy leadership, it seems.

Good find, Slowhatch. I've always thought that the hunt has something to do with T.J. after Mt. Rushmore, Lewis & Clark, Paris, etc. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
