So as I was listening to the radio station 'where old ladies call in to say they vote for Taylor'  :lol3:

I heard an interesting story.....

Taylor was in New Orleans right before Katrina...so instead of flying home he chose to drive home...because he drove the airline gave him a round-trip voucher....

He used this voucher to travel to Vegas to try out for American Idol

and that is the rest of the story.  B:)

Good story about taylor, but don't you think they would have put this on the Idol show.  I am not sure about where you are but here in Houston we are ALWAYS reminded about Katrina and the need to help New Orleans (yes they do not metnion Mississippi only New Orleans.  But that is a whole another thread)

Yea, that's why I want the radio call letters. I want to write them and have it confirmed or see where they got their source. Then I can print it on our news page. LOL

I'll look into it. I think it was one of those sides stories they tell and not sure if they post all of those on their website.

I'll look though.
