I've attached a kmz of Ko Kret island (not far from the airport, as it turns out). I've tried to match the caps to some of the coastal buildings, but no luck so far. As far as the golden buddha goes, the find Puddin made is looking good; there's a golden buddha near the Bangkok train station (Wat Traimit), but without some perspective in the caps it's hard to tell. Anyway, here's a map of Ayutthaya showing the location of the buddha temple, the elephant rides which are just down the street (the kraal, as Neobie noted, is northwest of town), and of course the 7-11.

Two teams compete for the Fast Forward in the aptly named challenge "insect delight" 

this has to be eating some lovely bug dish. looking at the three teams that can go for it, we have the hippies who i'm guessing will eat anything to stay in the race and have fun doing it. ray and yolanda who would give it a real try. i can not see monica even attempting this. so i think that it will be a race between ray and yolanda and bj and tyler. if they arrive at the same time, i'd say the boys win. if ray and yolanda get enough of a lead there, they could take it. but looking at the vidcaps, the hippies get the ff.

I had wondered if that was Ray with the big pots because of the clothes. I couldn't find those long blue shorts at all. With the sandals maybe it is a demonstrator because why would Ray be in sandals?

I think we can place these in Ko Kret. Same green cloth awning between alleyways in #1 and 2. The small temple in #3 is not Wat Hua Lamphong because of the background and the railing. It also looks like Ko Kret.

I agree with the spec about recycled caps at the end of the video and Puddin's observation that the guy at the pots is not Ray, but a local. Also, I had thought it was MoJo heading up the steps to the "wooden temple" where the people are sitting on the rug, but you guys are right -- it's E&J...

Agreed, sups -- here are a few pics to put it together...

Check out the Ko Kret alley pic -- same green tarp as in the shot with Eric running. Just realized that that's Joseph with his goofy Indiana Jones hat running behind Eric, so we know those teams are close when they get to Ko Kret.

Also, I think you're right about the location of that building with the wooden porch. Based on the walkway they come up to it on and the vegetation, I'm wondering if it's at the plantation. Check out the pic of E/J running up the steps of that building vs. the one of Jo running thru the plantation.

The only real kink I see in this is (and I'm having a hard time trying to explain this -- even to myself):

I don't think the teams would arrive at the actual roadblock and have to wait for hours of operation. If so, why would teams run off to a FF location when they are already standing at the roadblock? AND, how could Monica think they got there first if they were standing around waiting for the park to open?

I think the overnight hours of operation is for some other landmark. Maybe in Lopburi but could also be at the elephant place which is about 30 miles south/southeast of Lopburi (in between there and Bangkok).

Sups, the elephant location is missing -- UNLESS those elephants are just part of the monkey festival festivities, kinda like the show horse in the promo this week.

As for the roadblock, maybe they are just told to go to the monkey temple location, where they arrive at night and wait for the hours of operation. Then in the morning when it opens, they run in and get the clue for roadblock/fast forward? I dunno.

It does seem like there's a big gap in the schedule between arriving in Bangkok and arriving in Lopburi at night...

My problem with having a FF/roadblock clue at the monkey festival is that we see 3 teams at the monkey festival and we know that 2 team compete for the FF.  If all the teams are bunched at the monkeys (waiting for it to open), then the FF loser should be significantly behind.

Too bad we don't have a monkey icon for this thread.

gator, we see the 3 teams doing the monkey task at the same time, but E&J are significantly further along. Makes me think that the teams were bunched there, got the FF option, and E&J knew they couldn't do it so they got started. Then either RaYo or Mojo (leaning toward Mojo) chose to do the FF, saw what it was, and quickly came back to the roadblock. That's why E&J's "feast" is further along than theirs, but why they're all there together too.

puddin, I haven't been keeping track but seems like E&J have gotten the vast majority of the titles, yeah?

I'm guessing it's probably at the Pitstop, where somehow MoJo beats E/J to the Pitstop (likely due to being held up, but not in danger of losing), and MoJo had no idea of the fact that BJ/T did the FF (which sounds odd based on everything we've got thus far).  Then, Jeremy says, You though wrong, then, upon realizing that someone obviously went for the FF.

This almost looks like Jo is just running up like he is just arriving. Maybe they went for the FF and are getting there last. At the roadblock Eric is way ahead of both Yolanda and Jo thats why I'm having a hard time believing its the first task of the day and they were all waiting for an opening time.
