Agree, TL. She's naive, not stupid. And, she wasn't putting on a "dumb blond act". She simply doesn't catch on to stuff probably b/c she was overprotected by her family. Perhaps they just stayed close to home due to low income? Dunno, but Kellie wasn't exposed to the "real world"...for whatever reasons. Yes, Country is her genre and if she could've sang only Country on AI, she would've gone further. She's a sweet gal, and I wish her the best.

I don't think Kellie Pickler was nearly as stupid as people painted her out to be. I think she was putting on a Jessica Simpson type act and it worked. Wouldn't be shocked if she still gets some kind of album deal or finds her way into a sitcom.

Kellie was dumb, she was on Leno and asked what a Cameo was. She was spinning the wheel of consolation, and it was a Cameo on a movie, and she had NO idea!!
It was funny, and Leno made fun of her!

I've been using the word Naive for her, but after researching my trusty dictionary...she's both Naive AND Dumb! :rolleyes

Whatever...wishing her good luck with her life after AI. Not my Fav contestant, but love her smile, good nature, sweetness.
I feel a bit sorry for her if she isn't isn't pretending, if she honestly lacks knowledge, and is truly unable to grasp things normally.
