Wow, odd nystromgeorgie. That is the same story as me. My wife mentally abused me also, or so my siblings and some of her family have told me. I never saw it, but in retrospect I see it now. Another odd thing, Karen left me a month before our 13th wedding anniversary because I started to stand up for myself. Yea, I was a mess, but I just assumed it was my job to try to please her.

Obviously crankiness is no excuse for abuse.  I just hope Michelle watches this show and cringes at every stab Lake takes at her....and that she has some supportive friends and family who talk some sense into her.  Abusers rarely change...it's the victims who must.
