EP7 Title : 'Herculean Effort for Some Herculean Dudes '
Slowhatch:
Da Vinci was well known for his "mirror writing." I tried flipping the image, but either there's nothing there (nonsense script) or the handwriting is too sloppy to make out.
Boingo:
Getting bored waiting for Wednesday's episode, so just wanted to post the usual GE pictures of the Greece spoilers (as we know them, thanks to Banzai).
Interesting that the Nafplio Harbor and the Corinth Canal are in the Peleponnese, but not too far from Athens. Nafplio is quite remote. Hope we spend some time in a big city. Resolution of GE in Nafplio is useless.

Thankfully, we will get some more clues for this episode at the end of tonight's episode. :jumpy:

TV Guide clues !! TV Guide April 10-16
Eric wasn't puzzled by an earlier Italian challenge , but will he be able to crack a secret code in Rome involving Da Vinci's Vitruvian man ( inset )this week ?
What are the teams doing this week in Rome ?
" It has a tie-in to 'The Da Vinci Code ," explains Race co creator and executive producer Bertram van Munster. " We'll be using the most famous places in Rome." At the Trevi Fountain , the teams will receive part of an image of da Vinci's Virtruvian Man . Then they'll go in search of the second half of the clue ,which will help them crack a secret code.
--- End quote ---
There are several things missing from the TV Guide drawing: The square is in a circle whose center is the man's navel. The head is missing. And the second drawing of the man with legs and arms in a different position is missing. The man's genitals are missing (CBS censorship?) but they are the center of the square. So to find the rest of the Leonardo's (he is never just called "da Vinci") drawing of the Virtruvian Man where do they have to go? Circle in the Square, but tht is a theatre in New York City! Perhaps somewhere in St. Peter's Square, or the Castel Sant'Angelo, or Castelgandolfo, or Piazza Navona and the Fountain of the Four Rivers (the square represents four sides, seasons, elements, etc.) or the Pantheon one of the most perfect examples of balance and proportion in architecture which is what the Virtruvian Man is all about.
