cant help to wonder what E&J are up to at the cluebox ? GEE I hope it has nothing to do with Lake ( assumes its a cluebox , maybe not ?)
Deciding to go for the FF? So far, E/J, Raylonda and D/L are the only ones not shown doing a detour or roadblock. And you would need to be near the front of the pack to risk going for it.
Only RAYLONDA and THE NERDS and not accounted for at either the Roadblock or Detour. If there is a FF, it would have to be one of these teams, and since they are near the bottom of the pack, it would be logical for them to use it.
And in three of the last four TAR's the FF and NEL have come during Leg 5. And this is really LEG 5 although it is titled EP6.
Nice find, Puddin. Now we know positively, absolutely positively that at least part of the leg is spent in Catania. This also would be a logical place to have a pit stop since there is an airport here with good connecting flights to Rome and then on to Athens when we start leg 6.
The Hippies and The Beach Boys have at least a FIVE HOUR lead over Raylanda. Haven't checked the bus schedules, but what time does the earliest bus leave Palermo for Catania? Or do they drive? If they can get on autostrada A19 it would take them directly from Palermo to Catania 285 kms (171 miles), and since it is a limited access road with a good speed limit one would think (unless you are Ray or Lake) that you could drive it in less than 3 hours. So if they left at 2:15AM they would be in Catana when the fish market Piazza Pardo opened at 5:00AM
But if the teams had to wait in Palermo until the first bus left, say at 8:30AM which would enable all the teams to bunch up, they would not reach Catania while the market was still open since it closes at 11AM.
Could this mean that the teams leave Segesta between 2:15AM and 7:00AM, visit some place else first (Agrigento, for example) or perhaps Mt. Etna (Parco Regionale Dell'Etna) then arrive in Catania in time to do the Roadblock (Kayak Polo) then get clue late in the day to go to the Piazza Pardo fish market, but find out that they have to camp out until the next morning until it opens at 5:00AM (another bunch point). This would give rise to the title "Sleep Deprivation is Really Starting to Irritate Me."
Just some thoughts to ponder over.
