I thought about that myself. Here's some pictures of Sindelfingen (also called Untertuerkheim): the official page, a photo from a zeppelin site, and a close-up of a banked turn. I think Chateau's track is a better match.

Appearances aside, it makes no sense that they would test a Mercedes on a Porche test track.    :snics:

Chateau d If:
The Mercedes hood ornament is on the car that appears in the credits as it goes around the track.

So I have doubts because of that.  Had I found the Mercedes test track (I didn't) I would have been plugging that.

So...?

But wherever it is located, it's so steep that the cars go vertical (left above right) as they go around the bend.
I'm gonna do a v squared over R calculation to find out how fast they are going!

My bf is a car guy and says they test all types of cars there , don't second guess your track Chateau ..it looks right  :jam:

from this link   Nordschleife

on the other hand ( sorry in advance if this was arleady mentioned )
Maranello. Weissach. Milford?
Ferrari's and Porsche's factory test tracks are legendary, as much for their layouts as for the cars developed on them. GM hopes to at least partially redress this imbalance with its prosaically named "Milford Road Course" and the vehicles developed on it.

Commercial aspects
Because of its demanding layout, the Nordschleife is used by many auto manufacturers as a proving ground for car prototypes. Some of the most notable corporate "Ring Rats" are BMW, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Nissan, and starting in 2002, General Motors. GM's first wave of Nürburgring-honed vehicles includes the Cadillac CTS-V and the sixth-generation Chevrolet Corvette. Nissan's Japanese domestic market supercar, the Skyline GT-R, was tuned at Nürburgring (Skyline GT-R V-spec II Nür) and held the unofficial lap record for road legal cars for some time. The race version entered by Falken Tyres did well in 24 Hours Nürburgring, without a chance to win though, but they were among the Top-10 finishers repeatedly.

Computers Crash At a Foreign Airport leaving several teams stranded without a flight .

Driving to the Roadblock , one duo follows another team who leads them in the wrong direction .

Teams get to Relieve thieir frustrations from stress of the race by bashing vottles over each others heads .

charlierose:
Can you imagine the killer fatigue this next episode.  After having waking up early in the morning in Brotas, having gone 2-3 on a Bus to Sao Paulo, having taking a flight to Moscow (dont know how many hours), and now a TBC.  THese poor teams are not going to have any rest in the next day.  And from what we see they are next going to Germany.  Poor souls.

But it is going to be fun to watch, what this killer fatigue does to the teams.   :hearts:
