:tup: Thanks for solving the boy monk, Neobie. Is it possible there's more than one kraal in Ayutthaya? The uniforms on the tourist mahouts pictured here are similar to the ones we've seen before, but the landscape looks different: some ruins and a traffic roundabout are nearby.

I'm inclined to think there's only one kraal in Ayuthaya (at least Lonely Planet tells me so). It's 4km from the centre of town, so perhaps the elephants can be herded out to the city for tour groups. From the website, Chinese couple with camcorders? 100% belonging to a tour group.
Unpacking my photos from the trip, I'm thinking the wat in the website is Wat Ratburana (also Wat Ratchaburana) right in the centre of town. Nearby are the only two roundabouts in town (both with the King's pictures). However, Ayuthaya is covered head to toe with ruins and the King's pictures, so I can't say anything with certainty as of now.

So if the taxis are in Germany (I'm still not 100% sure, some of the signs on the German taxis were off to the side) does that mean that Zakinthos is off the list?
