So the theater turns out to be the Dubrovka, where the hostages were taken a couple of years ago (source, with map). And the dancers turn out to be the "ministry of defense dancing collective."

I found these confessionals interesting ......from the beginning of EP3

Earlier we had pix of Eric and Jeremy opening clue envelope and Eric is counting out money "for this leg of the race". In previous TBC's (TAR6 - Leg 6; TAR7 - Leg 8; TAR8 - Leg 10) teams continued on in the same country (or state) and did not continue on to a new country. But all previews are of teams in Germany; so they must continue and the Leg 3 will be Brazil to Russia to Germany which would be a first.
If the teams are told they can now fly to Stuttgart, if Eric and Jeremy are on the ball they can get to the airport and catch the 19.05 Lufhansa flight no. 3187 which would get them to Stuttgart (via Frankfurt) at 22.50. But if TPTB let them do this they could end up a full day ahead of the other teams. The next connecting flight to Stuttgart leaves at 07.00 and gets to Stuttgart at 13.45.
I wonder if the teams have to go somewhere in Moscow first. And what about sleep? It has been more than 24 hours since they last laid their pretty lil heads down on a soft pillow!! Hotel National has been given credit so maybe the teams are allowed to sleep over before heading off to Stuttgart in the morning.
One note, if the teams had told the taxi drivers to go to St. Basil's Cathedrdal they would have been taken directly to the plaza where Phil was waiting for them. But by going to Red Square they entered through the Resurrection Gate and had to run all the way across the square to reach St. Basil's cathedral. Matter of fact they have a shot of cars driving along the Moscow River embankment and at the end of the brick wall marking the boundry of the Kremlin if they had looked to their left they would have seen the Cathedral.
Hate TBC now do we call the trip to Stuttgart Leg 4 or Leg 3 Part II?
