Survivor Question..
Vintage212:
I've only watched like the last two season's of Survivor, so I guess I have a really stupid question. *or at least it COULD be stupid..*. I was wondering if they've ever done a celebrity survivor and if they havn't, if anyone has heard anything about it being in the works or anything like that? Cause it just sounds like something that would be interesting.
Rob:
Did you see all star survivor?
It was awful, and it was past survivors, we don't want celebs! LOL, I think the idea was floated around, but that would make Survivor jump the shark!

Here's a couple of articles from realityblurred.com regarding Celeb Survivor:

Survivor All Stars
celebrity Survivor being considered.
Matt Damon? Russell Crowe? Living outside? Eating rice? CBS admitted to Entertainment Weekly in the May 4 edition that the network is “mulling over” a celebrity edition of Survivor. Jeff Probst says the challenges would be difficult for celebrities: “Standing on a pole in the river for 10 hours would be really frustrating to the celebrity survivors because it requires patience.” No celebs will be allowed on the regular show, though; Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson reportedly showed up for Survivor 3 auditions but were not allowed to participate.

Big Brother
Survivor
celebrity Big Brother, Survivor now both unlikely after CBS fails to get stars.
A celebrity edition of Big Brother was possibly going to air last month, with plans for a celebrity Survivor in the works; CBS president Les Moonves said Ray Romano and others “[had] expressed interest” in the latter. Both shows probably won’t happen now, according to Moonves, who tells Entertainment Weekly in the Nov. 8 issue, “We weren’t able to land the talent we’d hoped for.” The magazine quotes Romano who says he “was never going to do Big Brother … and the only way I would have done Celebrity Survivor is if it took place at a Hooters.” Even Danny Bonaduce turned the network down, saying he’s “trying to break away” from such shows.

i think celebrities would be hilarious to watch because most of them are so used to being pampered and probably wouldn't do very well out in the wild
