TAR8 EP2~"How Do We Know We Aren't Going To Get Shot?"
Chateau d If:
I think the teams have to solve some kind of riddle to get to the Shoe House. Because the leg should start between 2 and 3 am and there is a few hours to pass before sunrise:

First things first:
On CBS Morning show this morning they had promo for TES announcing that the next family eliminated from TAR would be featured during the week. I guess this pretty much confirms and confuses that there will be a pit stop and elimination somewhere at the end of this week's program. Where? Washington? Monocacy? Think that it could be in Washington area since we have Phil leaving from Dulles Airport; if the final pitstop were in Monocacy he probably would be leaving from BWI which is nearer.
Second, I lhave pinpointed location of the girl with blond ponytail and white shirt and shorts. She is standing in front of the Statue of General Ulysiss Grant (just to the right of the picture) a part of Union Square in front of the Capitol Building (steps and paving stones match picture I have) and she is pointing across the Reflecting Pond to the location of the clue box which we have established in an earlier frame. From the angle and length of her shadow I would place her here in late morning around 10 or 11AM.
Third, the shot of the Linz Family looking at clue is in front of the Jefferson Memorial. Note Tidal Basin behind them.
Fourth, the shot of Bransen dad looks to be along Constitution Avenue just past the Washington Monument and he is headed west toward the Lincoln Monument and the shadows now seem to indicate it is around noontime (sun seems to be directly overhead).

That's great work GMan. That picture was really bugging me. I'm with you on the timing too. I think they go from shoe (via a tough time consuming riddle) to Washington to Monocacy.
Can you also detmine the location of this shot?

As far as I can determine this is just on the other side of the reflecting pool and the team is running toward the clue box at the top of the frame.
The teams seem to cover the Capitol area (reflecting pool and Grant Monument); along Constitution Avenue to Lincoln Monument; the Korean War Monument (we had spoiler last summer that they spotted one team coming from the Vietnam War monument; and we have the Linz in front of the Jefferson Monument. That just about covers all of the National Mall area.
The question still remains do they backtrack now to Monocacy, Maryland for the DETOUR and the PIT STOP? Leaving the teams to camp out once again?
The SUV's they are driving seem to give them one advantage - they don't have to carry their backpacks around from one spot to the other.
Hope we get clearer pix of the second part of the DETOUR at Monocacy before Tuesday night.

I'm late coming into this thread..busy week. But it seems that everyone has forgotten that the teams each got a DEPARTING time when their tent was complete!! Wasn't it like 10AM- 11:30 AM??
I think they do the Shoe and Gettsburg (I'll explain why in the next reply) and then have a reststop again before heading to Washington. Perhaps there is a "time the place opens(a place we don't see) bunching" before or when they head into DC. That's why the SUN thing doesn't work out. It is two different days!!
Does this make sense to anyone?
