Big Brother 6 – The Friendship Takes Control Of The Game
Big Brother fans were outraged on Friday when CBS cut the live feeds again in order to keep certain competitive elements of the game secret.  After watching Saturday night’s episode, Big Brother fans that were sticking around in hopes of seeing Howie Gordon or Janelle Pierzina take home the half-million dollar prize will probably be doing their own black out of the live feeds.

Howie gets two light sabers in his head of household gift basket. Beau seems to be particularly impressed by Howie’s light saber and engages Howie in some “sword fighting” when the lights go off.

Holly King from Big Brother 5 shows up to host the power of veto competition which is called “Big Brother Casino.”  The competition is set up like a craps game and involves betting on the roll of a pair of dice and answering questions correctly.  Holly King instructs the houseguests that “If you want to win a power that is totally neato then you have to make sure that you roll me a veto.”  Maggie Ausburn wins the power of veto.

In an ironic series of events, Maggie asks Howie to come talk to her in the HOH room.  Howie asks Janelle to come with him, but Maggie says she just wants to talk to Howie.  Howie insists that he needs Janelle with him.  Maggie then says nevermind and beckons Beau, Ivette, and April to come with her.  She then complains about how Howie isn’t his own person and can’t make a decision without Janelle.  Maggie then proceeds to tell her team that she can’t make a decision on using the power of veto and asks her team to make the decision.

Maggie toys with the idea of using the veto, even though she knows that it will result in April going up.  Maggie says that strategically it would be better for her to use the veto and keep a pair in the game because then they would be the target before her.  April Lewis is reduced to tears that Maggie would even think about using the power of veto.  In the end, Maggie stays loyal to April and doesn’t use the veto.  By a unanimous vote, Beau Beasley is evicted from the Big Brother house.

The head of household competition is called “Magnetic Attraction.”  Houseguests are asked questions based on questionnaires that were filled out by the houseguests before they entered the house.  Of course considering the closeness of “The Friendship,” it would seem obvious that a competition that involves how well the houseguests know each other would give an advantage to “The Friendship.”  However, two of the three questions that Janelle misses turn out be questions about houseguests in her own alliance, so she probably can’t complain too much about it being too unfair.  Maggie and Ivette wind up in a tiebreaker, and Ivette Corredero wins her first head of household competition.

Since it’s likely that either Janelle or Howie will be going home in the next eviction, “The Friendship” is virtually assured that someone on their team will win Big Brother 6.  Even if either Howie or Janelle winds up making it to the final two, “The Friendship” will control the majority of jury votes and will likely select whoever remains from their team to win.
