I am from around this area. I live in Lake Charles, Louisiana and you can imagine the chaos going on around here. We are about 200 miles from New Orleans along Interstate 10. I have friends that drove to Lake Charles yesterday and it took them 13 hours to get here. This is normally a 4 hour drive max. Where I live there is no vacancies anywhere. Our Civic Center is filled with evacuees. It is just complete chaos. The wind is blowing hard here now, but otherwise I think we will miss the repercussions from Katrina. My heart goes out to all those effected. My city of New Orleans will not be the same again either, although it could have been much worse there. I did hear on tv that water was up to the ceiling in many homes. I was so afraid that all our history would go down the drain and some will, but life goes on and New Orleans will rebuild. Please pray for all those that could not evacute out. I pray that they will be safe.

I can be impatient at times so please forgive me and bear with me, LOL. I can almost imagine what is going through James' mind just now. He's thinking, God I'm going on the block today! He's probably dreading the ceremony but at the same time want to get it over with, I'm sure.
