Those are called beach shoes, strong rubber bottom, mesh sides, used when your in ocean swimming or walking around, lots of shells and coral could really cut up your feet.  When I am at the beach, I never go in water without them.

Puddin, Are we really sure that this thing is at Ocho Rios? Because if so, then the the time of the shot (Ron) is late in the day when the sun is over in the west (azimuth between 200 and 230 degrees).
