Just came across something new when I was checking up on Istanbul and Pigeons!

There is a mosque known as Yeni or New Mosque which is located overlooking the harbor at Eminonu (that's where the ferries leave from) but it is also known as the PIGEON MOSQUE because of all the pigeons that are there and are fed by the people (old ladies sell feed). This just might be the first location they have to find and then locate a Travelocity Gnome which will have the next clue (sort of digging in the sand in Peru in ep 1) Gretchen is holding a Gnome, with a white card in her hand, and surrounded by pigeons. There is a building to the right but I can't make it out, and it looks like open sky to the left which could be over the harbor

I'm just getting red "x"s, Puddin. But I'm sure you got some good pix there nevertheless!

And Pedalar still seems sure that we go to London next.  But if Phil's first interview for CBS is correct the teams will travel 72,000 miles (I think he really means Kilometers!) and visit SIX continents, which means they HAVE TO go to AUSTRALIA or ANTARCTICA next.

The teams are in Istanbul either on Saturday, Dec 11 or Sunday, Dec 12.  They still have four more roadblocks to go.  The last week is going to be fast and furious.

I still think based on the Opening Intro vidcaps that they are going to London, Jamaica, and wherever the tightrope walker is.

I hope they do circle the world but don't think they have time.

The "Suprises Ahead" thing from Phil makes me think that they do in fact go around the world. They back track to Turkey and then they start heading east again.

-*^   There have been worse teams, but these peeps are depressing to me!  At the beginning I had high hopes for them being compatible AND winning, but now I'll be really glad to see them gone...SOON!  I do like Ron...but he needed a better partner.  =]/

A curios program ahead. R/K certainly don't look happy and the lighting seems to put them behind the M/G crossing of the Bosphorus. But if the crossing occurs right after finding the Gnome and clue at the New Mosque (Pigeon Mosque) then perhaps something comes in between to put them behind.

But very cleverly we have not been given any shots of R/K either at the Castle Climb Roadblock or in the metro ride back to Old Town.

So, if the trip through the Cistern comes after the Castle Climb then they have caught up (of course this could be very, very much after the others).

So a wild guess is that Ron and Kelly get mugged. The fact that we have shot of U/J with plastic bags in Puerto Rico may only mean that they have shipped their stuff home or given it away and are travelling very light to the end.

It would be nice and settle a lot of ill will on some other board if Meredith and Gretchen came in first but that is just too much to ask. Some how I think Rob and Amber pull it off one more time even if the editing is painting a very bleak picture for us at the moment.
