TAR 7 Finale "5 Continents, 25 Cities and more than 40,000 Miles!"

<< < (19/38) > >>

Ottopart:
Going to add more of Prior Walter's comments from TWOP:

Okay, I understand all of that. Maybe I shouldn't have posted what I was told. I admit it was selfish, I was excited to have some inside info and really wanted to share what I'd learned. But, and I feel silly defending myself here, I didn't do it for "accolades" or to impress anyone. Is that the only reason people post spoilers?

Eh, maybe I shouldn't have posted. Sorry if I come across as "trolling" as someone said.

But I do want to respond to some of the speculation about the PR airport, and me saying that the race isn't close. I mentioned earlier that the PR airport is actually the first stop after the NEL, and all of the teams experience slome slight bunching there, hence the teams being spotted there at the same time. From there though, Rob and Amber establish a lead that the other teams aren't ever able to diminish.

This is a question by dummypants:

So are you saying the actual NEL happens in Puerto Rico and the next clue says for them to go to the PR airport? It just seems like the NEL would happen in Jamaica.

Prior Walter's response:

I'm not going to lie. I have no idea. I do know, that after the NEL and first pitstop, the next stop is the airport, and I was ASSUMING that those pictures are from then, and from what I've read through here, the airport there is in PR. I only know PR and Jamaica from reading this board, as I was told nothing about what cities they travel through. So the airport they go to after the NEL was pure specualtion on my part based on that picture and what I know from my source.

This was a question Jettrue asked of Prior Walter:

You say here that the first stop is "after" the NEL... are you saying there is another stop between London and Jamaica? or did you mean to say "Puerto Rico" is the first stop after the NEL leg... I was assuming that the NEL leg is IN Jamaica? Just wanting to clarify.... do you have any idea of the ending city?

Prior Walter's Response:

jettrue, no you're right, I just misstyped.

Another question by ABJ:
Prior Walter, as ABJ asked in an earlier post, do you know the final city? Also, who comes in 2nd?

Prior Walter's Response:

No clue what the final city is. In fact, cities I'm pretty unclear about, hence my confusion about the city that the airport is in after the NEL. I'm assuming its Puerto Rico, though. But I wasn't specifically told anything about task or cities, which I'm sure is just fuel to the fire of the skeptics. :P

I'm assuming Ron and Kelly come in second, as I was told specifically that U/J are far behind the other teams.

Regarding the potential golf challenge (roadblock)

The Three Palms Golf Course, nka Cinnamon Hill at the Wyndham Rose Hall Golf and Beach Resort, the course is  one the top courses in the world.  It has famouse 8th Hole, which doglegs onto a promontory Point the goes 200 yards out into the sea.  The 15th Hole is next to the waterfall that was featured in a James Bond movie. This in Montego Bay ,Jamaica.

Both of the above, would be a very good filming area to use.

My other theory would be Negril Hills Golf Course, someone said here earlier that the "Junte" cars are exclusive to that area of Jamaica.
Plus Negril is stated as away from the hussle-bussle.  Plus I think on one of those vid-caps the Little Bay Inn is shown which is also in Negril.

TheBlob:
We all know Rob and Amber win this because CBS and TAR producers have rigged the competition for them to win.  By making the tasks easier this year for them, by having weak competition for them, and the ferns that so happen to magically appear for them when they are in trouble or when they want help.  This season of TAR was actually suppose to be one long promo commercial for their wedding.  I can't wait till someone spills the beans about the rigged competition so CBS and The Amazing Race can go down in flames.  Amazing Race used to be a good and pure show but now it has turned into trash, it is a shame CBS only cared about Rob/Amber and did not cared what happened to Amazing Race.

floridagirl:
How can an entire show be rigged for one team? Not seeing it!!!  As Rob has said all along there is an element of luck in this game.  Rob and Amber could have been eliminated at any time.  When Rob quit on the food task for example.  The fact that they are competing has brought many viewers to the show!  I fore one began watching TAR this season because I liked Rob and Amber on Survivor.  I will continue to watch now because it is a GREAT SHOW.

Go ROMBER

Texan:
I do not think the tasks were changed because of R/A I think they were changed because of the way some people preformed them in the past.  Liekt he bowlign moms getting to final 4 only to not be able to climb the mountain.  I think it was to even up the fields for everyone.

And there is alot of luck on this show, which detour you take and how you do it.  Also other contestants in the past have had help in their tasks by the locals.  If they could not get help they could not take the money from the people at the elimination rounds.

Also they changed the rule on how many roadblocks a person can do because a past winner won because the strong man did all the roadblocks.

And like Floridagirl said people have been watching due to Rob and Amber that have never watched it.  Also you would not have had some of the drama from the other teams if it was nto rob and amber.  ANd I do think if it was another strong male/female or male/male team at the top right now that got lucky ~ people would b!tch about that too.

yes rob and Amber have been on reality tv and AMber won 1 mill, but they have competed in this race and I think have done well.  they have also taken chances and done things different then others in the past.
