Is the X Factor Fair?

My question is, Is the X Factor Fair? I mean, Nathon, Dana and Jack have some sort of advantage since they have no ties to anyone else? Does this give these three an unfair advantage or disadvantage? I just don't think it is too fair that some have ex's and others don't. What does everyone else think?
