rules regarding boarding flights to next route

<< < (2/2)

foghillcafe:

Did they really have something in the clue saying to go to a specfic airport? I don't think so. But, getting out of Argentina without through Buenos Aires airport would be pretty hard to do.

South America -> Africa is not exactly a high traffic route so I'd be surprised if there is more than a few flights a day connecting both continents.  The aiirlines probably collect african traffic all over SA and concentrate them into a hub city for the transatlantic flight.

I would tend to agree that Africa is a low traffic zone so probably in this case my example of strategy utilization would be useless. They probably had no choice of flights in this case, but in earlier episodes in South America I am sure some of them could have connected on earlier flights by simply driving to another terminal or city. I hope I see this strategy implored on more domestic flights on future shows otherwise, I am suspiscious that the producers don't want this show to be a cake walk for any teams. That would make the show less exciting with down to the wire finishes. Just my opinion. Reality shows such as TAR are entertaining, but I realize that they walk a fine line between true reality and dramatized controlled entertainment.
