As for Kelly in the cave, since Ray & Deana are walking across the cooling tower, they must be first to get the FF. So Ron & Kelly must have to go back and do the regular tasks!!!

Just some notes
I think Deana finishes the Fast Foward , shes half way across ,why turn around now? Plus I think thats a harness and there probably is a saftey guide running across the top to catch them incase they fall , see what looks like taunt strap? or is it her overhead camara? or both?

Why is Meredith in the cave ? This should be the Detour .

Maybe this is a Roadblock, Brian doing the task Gregg watching? Jeeps in the background .

I was thinking that the cave thing was the Roadblock because Gretchen/Kelly/Uchenna are shown doing it and I'm guessing that Merideth is there because Gretchen completed the task and was going back before falling and calling for help.

Hence:
Gretchen: Merideth!
Merideth: Come this way!

Maybe its just me but it sounds like she finished the Roadblock and was returning and Merideth was just guiding her. In that shot Merideth is also running/walking possibly because Gretchen called for help.

EDIT: after looking at the screencaps again I now think that it CAN be the detour because Merideth's face and clothes are dirty, but isn't it true that teams cannot be more than twenty feet apart? Wouldn't we have seen Merideth crawling in the small space where Gretchen is shown crawling through?

Throwing a spear at a hanging bag sounds like something only one racer would do, so I think it will be the Roadblock!!! But since this is a 2 leg episode, couldn't the cave be the other Roadblock? Maybe we haven't seen any Detour tasks yet!!!

It confirms that Rob and Amber will be part of TAR7 and it also sounds like the show will include some safari adventures in Botswana.

I just joined the contestants and crew of The Amazing Race on the flight from Johannesburg, South Africa to Mumbai, India. I am now an extra on Reality TV!

As I checked in for my transfer flight from Botswana there, standing at the ticket counter were two Beautiful People Americans with backpacks, film crews and stressed out looks on their faces. It
could only be one thing - REALITY TV! I spoke with a sound guy who told me with a wink and a smile that it was a "travel documentary" and when I got into the terminal, there were the rest of the teams with their sound guys and cameramen, waiting for our flight. And among the contestants are Rob and
Amber fromSurvivor All-Stars. And here's the inside scoop: EVERYONE HATES THEM!

As you may imagine, I became quite friendly with one of the teams (in fact I met the woman while buying a cool bracelet for my nephew in a gift shop - we bonded over the beading! and I sat in front of her husband on the 10 hour flight). Suffice it to say that reality tv is quite hilarious. I don't know
how they can be as natural as they are with these entourages of cameramen and producers following all over. I actually caught them at a very relaxed phase, after they had spent three days on SAFARI IN BOTSWANA! They are headed up north to a temple near the Himalayas.

The people I feel worst for are the film crews who also have to keep all of their stuff in a backpack that they carry with them along with all their equipment while they schlepp after the teams. I got some inside scoop but was sworn to secrecy. Suffice it to say, though, that they were all having a great time and it sounds like they've done some very cool stuff.

I'm usually wrong when I make these kinds of guesses, but if I were producing the show, I'd have the non-elimination leg in the first hour, since the elimination is more dramatic. If so, then they are in South Africa first (that's where the cooling tower is, right?).

The thing is, all the previews seem to come from a single leg.
I think the first leg is somewhere else altogether (possibly Europe?). I've got the feeling that the leg ends in Botswanna. Which would mean the next single episode would be all in Botswanna.

Is it possible the brother's accident is at the end of the second leg?

Regarding the safety of South Africa, car hijacking/armed robbery is very common in some parts of the country and places of Transportation gets very dangerous at night especially in Jo'Burg. The country was filled with violence but is now starting to sort things out and give out rules that forbids certain things from happening.

And about a possible begging law in South Africa, I just checked and there seems to be NO straight-forward law that says people cannot beg in the country. Besides, I don't think the Producers will place a non-elimination that will force teams to beg in a country where you CANNOT beg, a la Hungary.
