Finale Title 2/8 ~" 4 Continents,24 cities,40,000 miles"

<< < (22/32) > >>

Pedaler:
Puddin, I saw on Sucks that someone thought that they read a sign during the lock roadblock that said Hua instead of Huang.  Hua Shan also has locks, a cable car, and white limestone mountains.  If the race goes to Xi'an, then Hua Shan would be a more logical destination.  Also, Xi'an has a market similar to the one that is shown in the screen caps http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.fu.org/jkl/anabasis/china/xian/goingtomarket.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.fu.org/jkl/anabasis/china/xian.html&h=330&w=440&sz=44&tbnid=YClL34SUfKkJ:&tbnh=92&tbnw=123&start=36&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dxi%2527an%2Bmarket%26start%3D20%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DN.  (look towards the bottom of the page)

Hua San - Locks on Rails

Cable cars to the peak of Hua San (

Locks attached to climbing chains for good luck, Hua Shan

Pedaler:
Puddin,  According to http://www.chinabasetravel.com/destinations/MajorMountains.htm, Hua Shan and Huang Shan are different.

puddin:
{l{  I know Pedaler ..but I think its all relative ? I don't want to dwell on what I heard so I'll just say it one last time ..right in the beginning of the AOL promo "Alright  Xi'an we go"
fwiw~ I had a Beijeng theory but I pulled it because , well ... there just wasn't  enough evidence . I guess we will know in 3 days .. |#'

Pedaler:
Puddin,  I'll let it go.  I'm agreeing with you that the race goes to Xi'an.  It just that when I saw this

I got a little confused.  Mt Huashan means five flowers http://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/shaanxi/xian/mt_huashan.htm.

Huang Shan  means Yellow Mountain.
