Oh dear, I didn't mean to be callous by ignoring your trouble, tina.  No power for 6 days, that's terrible.  I hope you managed to find a  warm, dry place for yourself and your loved ones.

I live in Columbus,OH...we got hit by a huge ice/snow storm last Weds night and 450,000 people lost power. As of today, 50,000 are still out and we got ours back on late last night. My kids, husband and I had to go to my in-laws house because the temp dropped to 30 degrees inside after the first 12 hrs without power. It was bad, 7 adults and 2 small kids in a small house for 6 days was painful. I am just glad to be home, with heat and to see all the ice finally starting to melt a bit.
