Not in this case. Their activity was recent, around the time of the India legs. They clearly took their phones with them, but got them back from production.
It's not unusual. This was how we detected who got eliminated and when last season, too.

Oh got it, thank you! Yeah that makes sense. With BB you want your insta promoted while you’re on. With this, there’s no reason for someone to upkeep your account.

It's 8 since there were 10 teams in the first India leg and we ran 2 legs there.

Based on the 10 elephants/tents in leg 5, it looks like we are entering our next country with 8 teams: Robbin/Chelsea, Steve/Anna, Corey/Rob, Lena/Morgan, Garrett/Joel, Todd/Ashlie, and then 2 of Greg/John, Victor/Jocelyn, Andrea/Malaina
