Catchup numbers for the premiere are in as well, it was the highest gainer of last Monday's shows, jumping up 43% to 841,000 viewers.

Taking these catchup numbers into consideration with 841 000 viewers this premiere was the most viewed episode from all "three" TAR Australia seasons somehow. This is so weird lol considering the live numbers are total disaster compared to previous two seasons.

That's actually a pretty crazy statistic. That also makes it the most watched TAR Australia episode full stop since Australia 2 in 2012!
Hoping the catchup numbers at least remain relatively stable while live improves a little bit as well.

Yeah, two stats of note:
As mentioned above, 43% is a high change on catch-up. Very high, although it is starting from a low base.
On the subject of that low base, it did lose ~70k week on week still, which is less good.

Episode 2 also had an increase of 356,000, increasing its initial ratings of 316,000 to 672,000 viewers total. (increase of 54%)
