Agreed that this is the biggest problem thus far of the premieres - everyone feels like they got the base amount of content to introduce them with nothing more, nothing less. Fingers crossed things shape out more after the merge though!

Canadian racers were very quit-happy in the past and would be all over that.

The short 30-minute penalty for the RB really bothered me. I thought Rb penalty used to be longer.  Why was it so short?
Rob using the penalty strategically on TAR7, always comes to mind and that was 4-hour penalty for not completing the RB. And I seem to recall that being consistent for Big Easy not being able to complete the RB on TAR15. Of course that was in the US version, trying to recall what was done on Canada, where indeed there was of quit-happy racers in some seasons. What were the penalty for quitting RBs then.

Whoa, whoa, whoa!

Australia has horse racing, too?!

That's my initial takeaway from the starting line.

Joberio:
Okay.  Watched the first episode now, and I have my take on the teams:

Kelly & Georgia: So far looking like a strong team, and I suppose that they deserved the win.  I just think that Georgia has a lot more personality than Kelly (assuming Georgia is the woman).  Kelly just comes across as a little bit bland.

Pako & Mori: Adorable guys, and I'm glad that it seems like their sizes and builds don't hinder them at all.

Flick & Gabby: Cute and capable.  Actually had the lead for a good part of the leg and probably would've won the leg if they hadn't gotten caught up on the sphinx riddle.

Tiffany & Cynthia: Also cute and capable.  They seem to have a strong bond as aunt and niece.  They are also very steady and focused, which could carry them far.

Tammy & Vincent: They seem very smart and a fit for mental tasks.  I just wonder how the physical tasks will fare for them?

Jodie & Claire: Requisite older women's team who is actually surprisingly solid!  Could see them lasting a while if they play their cards just right.

Jake & Holly: Very pretty alpha-couple, with a heartwarming backstory, to boot.  But they don't seem like they'll be too dominant, so I can bear them.

Fliss & Tottie: Cute girls, but I don't see them lasting long.  They seem way out of their element, being "country bumpkins."

Chelsea & Jamus: This will probably be the intense team of bickering teammates whom I'll probably hate or at least dislike by the end of their time on the race (if and whenever that comes).

Paul & Rachel: Paul really should've just come on the race with his wife.  Between Rachel's build and her anxiety issues, they weren't going to last long.  That elimination was pretty much a mercy killing for them.  Especially Rachel.

Off to episode two!

Parasparopagraho:
Even better than the Beauty Queen NEL.
