Arun & Natalia are also going downhill in direction, meanwhile Raquel & Cayla are still believing they are going in the right direction.
Akbar & Sheri reach the RB with Sheri hyperventilating. She says "Oh my god" 2,039,109 times.

I thought Raquel & Cayla had a really good edit but this episode is just undermining them over and over and over... time will tell if it's just for this episode or an overall narrative for them (assuming they survive).

Very likely COVID protocols, and does make teams officially very close. With 6 teams, top teams only departed 30 minutes ahead of last departure. It does avoid having last team, being hours behind top teams.
Kind of remind me of TAR China leg start style, which mostly negates most of finishing order effects.
It also simplify processes, which they used an HOO or planning around transportation times to bunch teams together anyway.
Update: Not saying that I like it, and I probably hate this a bit, but do say that it makes sense, why they made this change.

We come back to Sheri still in shell-shock! She breathes in and out, then has a Fran moment! She takes the plunge! Akbar can't believe she actually bungee jumped. "She did that like a straight G!" - Akbar. They leave the dam in 4th.
Raquel & Cayla finally reach Valle Verzasca and hit a rude awakening at the number pull board. They now know there is a scenic route and a fast route. Arun & Natalia are still nowhere close.
Cayla takes the plunge!
