Is it fine to have two tasks related to the landscape then the rests are in the center of city/urban?

"* You must theme your leg around the landscape you received, either Mountain Terrain or Beach Scenery.
* At least two of the following items must be related to the landscape you recieved: Detour, Roadblock, Active Route Info."

-Question: So the ENTIRE leg must take place in landscape + two tasks related to the landscape. Or is it just two tasks that are themed around the landscape, and the rest can be held elsewhere?

Was also going to ask... when you say related, do you mean they must take place on a beach/mountain?

You can have your non-theme related tasks in a city. For example, a task in downtown Santiago followed by a trip to the mountains for the rest of the leg.

Yes, the tasks for your theme must take place on the seaside/in the water or on/adjacent to the mountains

Mountains/Beach designation updated to reflect Lemontail signing up before Redwings. Fixed again

So in theory, we can do both landscapes then?
Yes, and this especially could happen if you choose a location in close proximity to both Mountains and Beach. However, make sure your design adheres to the type of landscape you received as your theme more than it does the other, else you risk losing points!

When you say at least two tasks, how does a Detour factor in? Would both sides being related to mountains/beach satisfy 1 or both requirements?

Basically, you can't use a Detour to satisfy the entire two tasks requirement. So if both sides are mountain/beach related, you still need another task.

You can have a Detour with only one side related, but you would still need an ARI/RB related to your theme.

What do fjords count as?

Quote
Round 2 will be an elimination round. The top 15 designers will move on to Round 3, while the bottom 4 designers this round will be eliminated.

So is 15th place eliminated or safe? :p

also,

what seasons have visited norway? :)

Based off the descriptions provided I would say beach scenery. They are bodies of water.

So is 15th place eliminated or safe? :p

Safe

Hmm... depends. It's more of Mountains if you're rappelling from them, but Beach if you're using a boat to search through them. I see you got Mountain, so tasks centered around fjords would probably be fine for your theme.

So is 15th place eliminated or safe? :p
1st-15th = safe, 16th-19th = eliminated

I can have one route marker/task in a non-beach area, but the rest have to be beach themed, right?

There's no set minimum or maximum. My only advice is that I suggest not overcrowding your leg with them.

So we don’t have to physically visit a beach or mountain but just have things that fall within the provided definitions of each, right?

Right, the themes are pretty loose. "Beach" could be searching through a fish market close by the ocean, "Mountain" could be doing a yodeling task in a valley between mountains.
