Phil Keoghan: Congratulations on getting your first leg under your belt, designers! You’ve all made it to the second round. I’m standing here in beautiful Bali, Indonesia, the setting for Round 2. I can’t tell you the theme for this round quite yet, but know that the unique topography of this place might give you a hint to what’s in store. ;)

I can tell that a lot of you were surprised to see the last round end in a non-elimination. But that’s not all of the surprises in store for you. Because the first round ended in a NEL, it means we can take the unprecedented step of bringing in an extra special designer into this round to compete permanently. Before we get started, I have a reminder to share for a few of you. When a team running in The Amazing Race is saved by a non-elimination leg, they typically have to complete a penalty during the next leg. Some of you will have a little extra work to do this round! If you finished in the bottom three in Round 1, you will be given the Speed Bump penalty. This means you will be required to incorporate a Speed Bump task into your design for Round 2. Since he joined late, MrDS will also have to complete this penalty. Good luck!

For all designers, your first task this round is to sign up for a continent. Select a continent you wish to design in. But don’t get started designing too quickly, because we’ll reveal key information regarding the theme of this round after everyone’s done picking.

You have 24 hours to sign up for a continent in the thread. If you don’t sign up within 24 hours, it will be randomized for you. Note: The lists aren’t extendable, so if the last spot is taken for a continent, you’ll have to choose another one. First come, first served!
