Yep, I think this is most likely. This type of stripped reality programming is pretty common with 10 - similar to how they adapted Survivor. Also, this fits with having double legs in most countries to have a 'South Korea' week and a 'Mongolia' week etc.
They did a fantastic job with Survivor so I have high hopes in terms of the editing and overall production value, although we only have an Asia/Africa route this time.

What the hell, they are REALLY late on spilling the last 4 teams. The show's only a week away now!
I always thought the norm was at least 2 weeks in advance of the premiere, so they have time for interviews and all that. Those poor racers...they can't tell people they're on the race until the show does first :P

Yeah, it sucks. I wish there was at least some pattern of revealing these teams... Like one per day or something.
This is last week and 4 team were not revealed yet. Imagine if one of these 4 teams is eliminated in 28th or 29th October episode. I would feel really bad for them. Only 10 or less days of "fame".
