To clarify things about what just happened.
Today's program, except the Elimination segment, was also recorded (what is a logical decision from production point as they had all the couples already there). And they opted that the audience took the decision of eliminating the couple instead of having to do it them.

Some hints revealed during the last galas:
The change will happen once there are sixteen couples remaining, after the Merengue.
Apparently, we're going to have some sort of Face-off as couples will be divided in eight pairs that should perform one against the other, with the Jury saving one of the two couples of each pair at the end.
Couples could choose any rhythm to perform.

Sixteen couples will start the "Duel/Face-off", after this -as told before - eight couples will be saved advancing to the next rhythm. The remaining eight couples are going to be paired again performing one against the other. Jury (and the BAR) will save again one of them. Those four will also pass to the following round. The four again will be paired, facing each other repeating again the previous process. The last two teams will go to the Elimination.

Couples will be paired according to the average of the scores received in each rhythm.
The rhythm in the first pairing will be free. For the second pairing is Cuarteto. For the third is Cha Cha Cha Pop and for the final two is Cumbia.

Each member of the Jury and BAR will have 1 point, similar to what happen in the semifinals and finals. The couple with the highest score will be saved and pass to the following rhythm.
Until this moment, the elimination IS NOT GOING TO BE DECIDED BY THE AUDIENCE. It'll be in the hands of both the Jury and the BAR.
