My reaction to the sneak peak: how is someone a TAR superfan yet doesn’t know what a rickshaw is?!
How does someone make it 30 years in life without knowing what a rickshaw is...  :groan:

Especially if they've ever seen a TAR season before, where those are a staple of southeast Asian legs.

Exactly...... Are they really superfans?  B:)

I think so James has been watching since season 1, and Will since season 5. I personally think that James was probably stressed and maybe sleep deprived. I know when you're go go go and very tired you sort of forget things like for example what a rickshaw is.  :duno:

The only South-east Asia legs James saw were TAR 24 and 25.

I like the twist on the yield, I just wish someone else would use it.

I don’t believe that’s even remotely true. James began watching TAR with the first season, Will with season 5, and per their videos and social media, they rewatched most of the seasons prior to filming the Race.
It is likely that killer fatigue was affecting their memories, as they’ve alluded to in their video recaps of this season.

The first India roadblock is pretty much the same task as the first France roadblock, though I think I like this one better.

Ugh, the fact that the "real alliance" makes Final 3.

I don't usually mind alliances and teams helping each other, but the Mine 5 has really made this season worst...
I think the main problem is that, beside Eswar and Arpana, the other 4 are probably the strongest 4 teams, so it's like David vs. Goliath, with Davids getting eliminated one after the other...

Also, I don't think we ever had this big of a alliance (the only one I can think of is the 6-pack during season 10 with 3 teams.
But like, these teams really helping each other is impacting the race, because without that alliance, we could be having a different top 5.

Anyway... In the end, whoever wins, I'm sure they won't be seen as the greatest ever because of all the help they got from other teams. Like I think (100% speculation) that Will and James will win, but I don't consider them as a strong team (they are a good team) but when you get help for a task every episode it's like..... fine you are smart for doing this, but in the end you will be remembered for that mostly.

It also helped in TAR10 that the Six Pack were never major threats. But the "other side" were strong teams, but not invincible, on their own without an alliance. So the competition was still there, especially the rivalry with the BQs.

Here on TAR32, there's no such dynamic or nuance. It's just the five dominant teams spoon feeding each other answers and even pausing their own Race to give those answers to the other teams. Not fun nor exciting at all.

Agreed. It's fine to make alliance to outcasts the stronger teams, but they literally teamed with other stronger teams (aside Aswar and Esparna). It doesn't make any sense at all. And the fact that one of the alliance leaders are auperfans
what might have been

Right? Different country each leg, 0 repeats, and this is IMO the best race course ever designed: Yield, Double U-Turns, No-Rest Pit Stop, "Mega Leg." All that was missing for a true "Back to Basics" approach was the Fast Forward, and maybe the Intersection. I'm so happy there doesn't appear to be a Head-to-Head this season.

Sucks that the Mine Five alliance had to ruin everything.

I don't think it's fair to blame one team for the alliance, all 5 teams are part of it and are as responsable for what happened.

Alliances have been part of the Amazing race since season 1, but I do think this is the most 'extreme' exemple we ever had.

They + Riley & Maddison to an extent have been the most vocal and obnoxious with helping. I couldn't stand the obsession with DeAngelo & Gary last leg.

Just saw the comments on social media. A lot are angry at the alliance. They labelled it, the worst season they have seen. Worried for the ratings.
Most of them are turned off and not wanting to watch. This is a bad precedent for future seasons.

As one of the few people who watched TAR Philippines 2 (lol) I am very familiar with how alliances, especially answer-sharing and clique-ish behavior, can negatively impact the Race as a competition. As well as enjoyment for viewers. So TAR32 is very much deja vu for me.
