I agree. The last memorable airport drama was Season 23 Leg 3. Nothing like the old days. On the other hand, I can completely understand why production doesn't want a repeat of Season 11 with Joe & Bill and Eric & Danielle.

Could be for security reason. We have had provided transportation leg before already, mostly in chaotic destinations (recent example is 30's Chiang Mai)

I remember when TAR visited Bandung in TAR 23, RFF member who followed the teams said the taxi drivers already knew the next destinations :groan:

They just seem to want to simplify the Legs and the logistics for recent seasons which also means easier editing. Hence the provided flights and other transportation, which of course eliminates all the drama that comes with airports, maneuvering for seats, getting lost in taxis, etc.
It would be okay if they still were able to fill the rest of the episode with excitement and drama, but most of the time, they can't.
