IIRC flights out of the Philippines to North America usually have needed a Tokyo connection to the US. Whether that is still the case, I have no clue. I won’t speculate about where in the U.S. per Peach’s request a few days ago, but the first connection point would be a clue.

Cocoa:
Team NFL *may* have encountered taxi/baggage problems. Not 100% sure though

Yeah their first connecting point would need big East Asia hub like Seoul, Tokyo, HK, Taipei or even Osaka (That 5 airport is my bet on their first connecting point) in order back to US. So we need to keep an eye out on that given late night Dec 2 GMT+8 flight out from Philippines is the best timing to arrive East Asia hub on early morning Dec 3 and catch US flight there. Hopefully we have several airport sightings in Manila later on to giving us speculation/hint on final destination.

seems to me more like EJ Feihl, retired bball player was very popular in the 90's

Interesting. Ivan Saldajeno, who's posted a picture of the Post Office in Manila and a selfie with Phil, says he's a basketball player on his instagram account. It does appear however that he works as a sportswriter and blogger.
