We are also confused as to why teams met up with Phil here at the Lapu Lapu Shrine ("pitstop") and then have to go back here

I’m only surprised that the two teams that were ID’ed on the first day are still there.

As to Phil, is this a KOR situation? It’s otherwise is hard to figure out unless a 13th leg has returned and Manila is hosting two legs.
Probably should have put it here. Were there three or four teams with Phil at the monument? Because it would seem a leg 11 EL may not be this time.
Looks like four teams because there are 7 backpacks that can be seen.
I immediately thought partner swap, but then the purple team was seen racing together after so probably not. Though it would be shocking to do it on the Penultimate Leg lol

Is it possible for the last task of the leg to be happened right at the map, where Phil is giving out the instructions immediately when teams arrive at the mat? (i.e Like head-to-head but not a battle)

I believe that’s what happened with the final task of the penultimate leg in 31, so it’s possible. But there was a mat and a greeter in 31

Was there some sort of mid-elimination or another final four heading back to U.S.?

Well, it would certainly be interesting if in five Legs in the Philippines, only 1 team has ever been eliminated.  :cmas22

What if it's like this:
Post Office to Pitstop (Mid-Elimination) to Manila Ocean Park to Pitstop (Final Elimination)?

The video of Phil with the teams was before the Post Office though.

Also, if we are to believe the Final Leg is on Monday, teams would have to leave the Philippines tonight (Sunday night) to get back to the US on Sunday night as well, at the earliest. The direct options for that schedule are SF and LAX of course and then teams connect to anywhere else in the country.

our final three!

Is the tall guy in the track suit the pit stop greeter?
Maybe the absence of signs is a sign.

I wonder who the guy in the track suit could be. He looks like PBA basketball player Greg Slaughter. Which would make sense with the height, but otherwise would be very random as a greeter lol

Just googled him, there's news articles about him "missing" from practice. Guess we know where he is.

omg How random. lol Though since he didn't make the roster for the next Gilas national team game vs Iran on Monday, he's certainly free to hang around a Pit Stop for a day. lol

Didn't basketball was popular there as we have basketball task in TAR25 visit, and then there's much more random greeter in the past.

I don't think that's Slaughter though. He wasn't sporting a beard when he played for Gilas last Friday. Well, unless he grew them quickly.

Yes, basketball is very popular in the Philippines.

Cocoa said yes though. If it's him, (he's Filipino-American) I wonder if he had signed on for the gig before the roster for Monday's game was announced and now it would be awkward to wear his Gilas gear so instead he has to wear that plain tracksuit which makes him look very random as opposed to him wearing Philippine team gear hehe

that's not Greg...not with that receding hairline

seems to me more like EJ Feihl, retired bball player was very popular in the 90's
