Leafsfan:
We start with a recap of last leg, it gave C/A their first lead of the race.

Nancy/Melissa experienced an inspirational RB and bumps, and won their first leg of the race.

A potato farm detour had teams digging deep. While it looked like D/K looked in peril, it was L/M who faced a penalty and were eliminated :(

Intro.

Leafsfan:
This is PEI, on its sandy shores the 9th leg will begin.

N/M leave at 8:53am, fly to Mexico City.

C/A 9:00 am departure

Adam: We have had that pressure, its different from being in the front.

T/C leave at 9:22 am.

M/P leave at 9:26am, their taxi driver is Korean

D/K, leave at 9:39 am, which indicates they were not that far behind.

Dylan: Travelling to a foreign country puts everyone on an even playing field.

Teams are flying via Toronto to Mexico City. They will go to Monumento a La Revolucion, ride a elevator and get a special clue from home.

TC arrive first to the monument. They get a message from their dad.

C/A are in second, they get a message from Adam's parents.

They get their clue from their loved ones. They have to go to Fronton Mexico, which is next door to the monument.

RB: Who wants to live the hi-life.

One racer must land a serve correctly, by hitting wall and it must bounce back and land back in between lines 3/5. Each attempt = 3 tries.

Both courtneys doing the rb.

N/M get a message and are in third. They get in the taxi even though its next door ? lol

Courtney of CT fails her first three shots (first attempt)

Courtney of C/A is practicing now. She also does not get it in her first three shots.

D/K are in fourth, they get a message from a kid they helped out in Forth Mac. Kwame gets emotional.

D/K who were fourth pass N/M who took a taxi  :lol:

Dylan/Melissa doing the rb for their teams.

Leafsfan:
Dylan messes up on his first attempt of three shots, but came really close.

M/P are in last. They get a message from Phil's family. Phil gets teary eyed.

Martina is doing the rb.

Melissa also messes her first attempt.

Dylan onto his next attempt. And he gets it on first shot!!

Clue: Detour. Mercado or Muertos.

Mercado: Make your self to largest market in the world, use shopping list, find four stalls, find ingredients, and then combine to make pico de gallo to get next clue.

Muertos: Pick two of the day of dead decorations and paint them on their faces.

Mellisa gets its the clue in second!! They are doing the market task.

Martina now doing the rb. She messes up her first three shots. But she was close

Anyways, the first two to finish a sport rb was two elite athletes  :groan:

Martina gets it on her second try!! they are in third. They are do Muertos.

Courtney of Courtney and Taylor gets the title quote!

Both Courtney's struggling and Courtney of C/T asks what the penalty for a rb is before we go to commercial.

Leafsfan:
We are back.

And both Courtneys are still struggling.

Courtney of CA gets it!! They choose Muertos.

Courtney of C/T still struggling.

D/K arrive first to the fountain of the coyotes for the painting detour.

N/M arrive to the largest market. They realize this is a hard task as the market is huge lol. Nancy says we should have picked the face painting lol.

Dylan gets Kwame painted correctly. Martina/Phil arrive now. C/A arrive to the face painting.

Courtney of C/T is crying now as she is not getting any better.

She tries underhand and gets it relatively quick. They choose the face painting. The detour split is therefore 4/1

Martina gets  Phil painted correct. Phil gets a bit passive aggressive with Martina lol.

D/K finish the detour. Clue: Make your way to a residence.  Perform in a classic Telenovela. Each temmate must choose a character and memorize a scene in Spanish.

N/M get Mary an English speaker to help them lol.
