I agree.
I liked the mouse statues search, the mixed up words were a good variation on a serving dishes task. The farming task wasn't that amazing, though some teams seemed to be more efficient at doing it. A paintball or laser shooting game tends to be done on The Mole than The Amazing Race but I'm happy to see them looking at tasks seen elsewhere.
I didn't like the teams helping each other, it was like two express passes entered the game at final 6, I'll root against them now.
Some surprising drama at the paintball, and not something the producers expected I'm sure. It was sad but you don't know what individual's phobias are so even if it will have looked weak to some I'm more sad than anything. First voluntary penalty this season I think.
I don't remember really having a favourite in this race.

Leg 8
That was probably the best Canadian leg of the season so far. The tasks delivered, we had ever changing team placements, and there were emotional moments. The tasks were a good mix of physical and mental. Nancy's story with breast cancer was an emotional moment only for us to later see her and Mellisa clash. I'm glad that there hasn't been a repeat of season 3 and the never-ending penalties since it took 8 legs for a team to take one this season. At the same time, it is unfortunate that Leanne's claustrophobia got the best of her. Definitely the saddest elimination yet.

Martina asking where to get potatoes while standing next to a mountain of potatoes. :funny:
I get Leanne's anxiety, but it's still sad it caused her and Mar's elimination. :'(
Mice: Liked the frantic start to the leg with this task. It was a nice twist on the Dawson City task.
Haircut: It was a nice emotional moment.
Menu: We got a good mentally taxing task. I also liked that each menu was unique so team members couldn't freely share answers.
Suds: I don't know what it is about PEI and teams only taking one Detour option. Definitely reminded me of the beer task last year.
Spuds: Nice contrast to the RB since it was pretty physical with the added detail of the proper spacing.
Zombies: Really felt like a task out of The Mole, so that's a positive. I agree that this could have been a Face Off. Still, it was a fun task to end the leg even if it led to an emotional finish.

Nancy and Mellissa are the first team on the Amazing Race Canada to go from last to 1st with a Speedbump!
I believe they are the first FF team ever to do so. Need to check that!!!!

Amy & Maya did come from last place to finish first, but that was a KOR not a NEL. They also were never given a Speed Bump. On English-speaking TAR, I believe that Nancy & Mellisa are the first FF to accomplish this.
